Also worth noting that JWH didn’t publicly broadcast that booing him makes him play worse.

He has been booed a few times, justifiably so, but you’re better off letting him get inside his own head than providing an external focus.

Why his latest ban could be best thing for Latrell’s career - or the beginning of the end

Jwh also doesn’t have the same media presence.

You can’t make a living and leverage the political power off your public perception gained for running around with a ball and then get stopped about the public perception.

Well that’s not accurate, you can it’s just hypocritical.

Why his latest ban could be best thing for Latrell’s career - or the beginning of the end

And I never said he was the worst.
If your going to get all technical on your own comment then don’t fabricate mine.
A) so your issue is Radley and JWH, who have a significantly lower media presence, should be getting the same attention?
B) that you’re comparing two middle forwards with a fullback known for avoiding work. For that fullback to be in the conversation their % of foul play would have to be greater
C) you left out the simulation part, which is the kicker here. The constant milking is hypocrisy that other “enforcers” don’t engage in.
he wants license to operate in a certain way but wants everyone else held to a different standard. Kind of like your never said he was perfect but insist I’m saying he’s the worst.

BS He did worse to Manu and didn’t get a lifetime ban.
I’d say Radley does cop a fair bit, all deserved, but he also doesn’t play the on field victim like latrell

Why his latest ban could be best thing for Latrell’s career - or the beginning of the end

Two things on that though.

A) JWH doesn’t stay down like he’s shot or whinge about. If he did I’d imagine he would be.
B) some of that is expected in the role of a middle forward and the number of collisions is higher, a fullback needs to go out of their way to be as involved in foul play as Mitchell which is ironic given he doesn’t go looking for work otherwise

Why his latest ban could be best thing for Latrell’s career - or the beginning of the end

I think he’d be very flat track though and need the 7 &9 to do the majority of decision making. Remember how Manu went at 6 fresh off a golden boot at 1.

Not sure walker/[insert hooker here] could carry the load.

I think they need a winger or centre who can defend at full back and start sets then switch with latrell when they’ve got front foot ball

Why his latest ban could be best thing for Latrell’s career - or the beginning of the end

He’s kind of always been like this though.

I’d have some sympathy if he wasn’t a guy who trash talked, played grubby and is prone to a bit of simulation.

Those actions and choices of latrell openly invite additional criticism. He can’t then expect to be shielded from it.

It’s been an explicit rule for decades.

Which to be open I’m against . But you’ve only developed a rash when it hurt your club.

You’re happy to go a version of “they ruled it” when it suits you but when you stumble onto something like this suddenly you are r parks

We’ll that’s your typical patented BA self defeating argument.

It’s not cap compliant because the rule you have an issue with is cap compliance.

To reference a low rent view on another thread “point is they have” difference here is that the point has survived what 4 administrators.

He doesn’t need to publicly explain it though as long as he’s explained it to Cook and the media team worked with him.

It feels like that last part might not have been great

Rabbitohs rubbish Meninga rumour as Cook admits he's 'frustrated, angry and sad' over losing his spot

It’s not the clearing offer. Fair market value is a bit more nuanced. And contracts not being standardised could lead to a bait and switch offer system.

The difference here is lomax was contracted.

Except they do have that right.

And it’s been well known for over a decade.

Rape is bloody hard to prove in a criminal court for an acquaintance, let alone by a spouse.

Whether NRL celebrates Jennings' milestone or not is irrelevant, the real issue is should he have been allowed back?

Why is “the point is they did” a valid dismissal of Dutski but not of your continued insistence on the binary outcomes.
Sure it’s a different argument to the one you want to present with your binary view. But not sure why it’s any less valid than the one you keep throwing up.
It’s more valid returning to the merits of the original decision, especially if you believe they regret it, than your hamfisted view on subsequent process.

NRL rejects Jennings 300th game celebration as 'past conduct' criticisms mount

Haha.

They’re synonyms.

The difference is the threshold.

Problem is more the threshold for proof.

It can be taken back but you’d need to prove the actions never occurred.

But worth noting the actions covered in the articles and subsequent defamation case were separate to those he won the medal for.

That would be relevant if I’d used the words local talent.

But I didn’t so it it isn’t.

Pinching talent from other clubs only goes so far - building culture is far more important

A quick flick through #of players of the 4 teams in Vegas who debuted for their club I think is roosters with 12, Souths and Broncos 10 and Manly 9.
Your boys, a club lauded for local talent, had 9 on opening day I think also.
A futher check has the roosters only behind penrith.

Pinching talent from other clubs only goes so far - building culture is far more important

Roosters tend to have a lot of players who made their NRL debut for them.
The grabbing of stars makes headlines but it’s generally cheaper and lower risk to fill out the roster with young first club guys

Pinching talent from other clubs only goes so far - building culture is far more important

I’d say the key to culture is talent pipeline.

If players spend time in the youth or nsw cup teams before playing first grade it’s more likely they’ll do things the way you want them too.
