Why desperate Rabbitohs need to adopt NRL's version of Bazball - it's a guaranteed win-win situation
Which part did you think wasn’t written from a satirical point of view?
Why desperate Rabbitohs need to adopt NRL's version of Bazball - it's a guaranteed win-win situation
They did… In 2015 with a throw the ball around strategy.
Whilst unique and it probably made the best use of the talent the results are wildly overstated.
That year finished 3rd in the regular season and the 4th best attack which was the best year for walker brothers.
Perhaps the reason they never got an NRL gig is it’s hard to convince someone your attacking strategy will reshape the game if you’re best result was the 4th best attack in a second tier comp.
Why desperate Rabbitohs need to adopt NRL's version of Bazball - it's a guaranteed win-win situation
Apparently Methylsulfonylmethane is all the rage though I hear MSN has better ratings

That is not the response of someone who is actually OK.

Oh the tourist writing something negative about Robinson and the Roosters.
How Dom Young and Justin Holbrook have turned the Roosters inside out - and helped Tedesco get back to his best
Holbrook was the victim of rolling the dice with youth. But it was the right play, being a “maybe 7th or 8th” team can’t be your upside long term.
He probably went too far but the recruitment benefits of being a top 4 side on thebeach versus a RL wasteland were worth the risk.
It’s just dissapointing that the board played Harry hindsight so the next 3 or 4 coaches will not take that calculated risk.

Suaalii wasn’t great at centre last year
How Dom Young and Justin Holbrook have turned the Roosters inside out - and helped Tedesco get back to his best
The good sign in the game we didn’t fire is we lost by 7 with a weird tunnelling non call and lot’s of half chances put down.
Being in that game, against a quality opponent, despite the poor execution and having no “right” to win is how we used to play pre COVID. It feels like we are a threat to score points without having to mount any pressure
I actually thought that game was a better sign than belting a souths team who’s defensive line looks like the need to run an ice breaker exercise to learn each other’s names.

There’s a reason you don’t see a bunch of listed property trusts specialising in Stadiums.
On a purely commercial basis they’re a terrible use of land and development risk

Not really Billo, if they can keep it at a level where it’s generally useable and safe.
A landlord doesn’t have to ensure you’ve got water views MTV cribs house (affordable housing anyone?)
Just because it isn’t suitable for NRL doesn’t mean it’s unsuitable as a sports field.
There was an article Monday talking about how many other sports, without the NRL’s budget use it.
'I don't have spare dollars': Death sentence for Leichhardt as NSW Premier rejects Tigers' reno plans
“For example, the temporary Empire Field in Vancouver cost $14.4 million Canadian in 2010 with a capacity of 27,528 fans which isn’t too far off the 40-thousand for the proposed QSAC redevelopment. That would work out to around $33 million once converted and adjusted for inflation for 40 thousand seats, which is well below $600 million.”
27.5 is a long way from 40. I’m not sure there are temporary modular options for 40k seat stadiums

Hold on you’re saying we don’t know about concussion but now you’re saying it’s binary if you have concussion or not which impliesno differencein severity?
The Cat 1 is to avoid players passing the assessment but later exhibiting symptoms, Walker has been cleared of symptoms.
NRL Round 3 Talking Points: Blowouts, bad bunnies, and bunker babies are back
All they’ve done is say it should have been a category 2.
If your taking that away then everything has to be viewed as a category 1.

Because the highest grading is done quickly based on limited info, which is the erring on the side of caution part.

It’s not that hot of a take to be fair.
I’d still take anything from the shadows though.
The worst offering at our local Sunday market would have been over run at Leichhardt oval
NRL Round 3 Talking Points: Blowouts, bad bunnies, and bunker babies are back
“It’s not about cutting corners but it does happen, and there’s no issue with it as long as the players and the team are performing well.”
No it’s not about cutting corners, but it does create a have and have nots in the team.
And if your team culture is dependent on the team getting results rather than the results dependent on the team culture you’ve got it the wrong way around.

Normally anywhere from Marrickville to Leichhardt that’s a pretty good result!
