I can just imagine how we would feel if a country like China invaded our shores, introduced a Chinese population of 50million people, removed us from our homes and put us all together in a rural area. Changed all the names of significant locations, changed the language, changed the government, introduced new diseases, new cultures, took over our resources, gave employment opportunities only to the new population, and then celebrated the day when this was initiated, telling us to simply get over it.

'Painful and sorrowful day': NRL joins Australia Day backlash as Hockeyroos, AFL teams call for date change

That’s my experience too Macca. As a silver AFL member, you had access to all finals except for the Grand Final. When you were upgraded to gold member, you then had access to a grand final ticket, however your membership increased by around $200/ year to cover your grand final ticket. Then they brought in a ticketing fee, then an additional cost for each ticket of around $300. Now have to prebook seats for big home and away matches, instead of once just turning up due to AFL increasing membership numbers.
Have kept renewing each year as the alternative is never seeing my team play in another grand final, yet, now retired, the cost each year is making me really think hard of quitting my membership.

Grand final ticketing fiasco doesn't make top-tier Pies fans whingeing about low-quality seats okay

Memories of 2019 Pete? At least there’s a dry forecast.

Finals Fix: They just pumped Port - and here's why the Giants might be Collingwood's worst nightmare too

Yep, I got 3 and only had me down for one. Was hoping that it would be updated by now.

The Roar's AFL expert tips and predictions Round 21: With elimination finals galore, who keeps their September dream alive?

As a Richmond fan, I’m anything but ‘filthy’ for what Hardwick is pursuing. He’s helped bring much joy to the tiger’s fan base after so many years in the wilderness and can’t begrudge whatever he wants to do in the next stage of his life. The tigers don’t own him and he certainly doesn’t owe anything to them.

AFL News: Verdict in for Suns skipper on Zorko squirrel-grip, Hinkley defends Power doctor over concussion controversy

Chin up Don, Freo still mathematically possible to win the flag this year, or should they just finish below Hawthorn to get a better 1st round pick? 😛

Polish up your big screens, because a classic round of AFL footy is coming

How long is Jye Amiss’s contact?

Six Points: Why Ashcroft should still win Rising Star, and a message for Collingwood fans

But their players are always injured, the directive from the AFL is to make sure Freo loses, it’s a VFL thing and besides, premierships aren’t important, it’s participating that counts most. 😛

Don't waste the time or money - ruckmen are the most overrated stock in the AFL

Richmond travel interstate 7 times this year, so getting close to that mark.

Six Points: Defending Josh Rachele, the Blues' unsung hero, and why the Dogs would be mad to sack Bevo

Yep, me too Naughty. First time picked all winners and first time in the top 20. Bug9er, probably over analyse everything next week and get nothing!! 😔

Six Points: Getting back on the Blue bandwagon, fixing the MRO's biggest flaw, and the new dangerous tackle reality

Had the pleasure of watching the replay twice and couldn’t see any infringement by a Richmond player within 20 meters of the Fremantle goal. Did however notice Ethan Hughes throw the ball away, 5 meters out from the Richmond goal with just over 6 minutes left to play, and not get pinged. I’d be really curious to see a timeline of those Fremantle frees also. Oh well, perhaps I’ll just have to endure watching the replay a third time to try and find them myself. 😁 👍

Can Richmond thread the needle of not bottoming out?

Don’t get sucked in Realist. Even Don knows that Richmond’s win away from home was very, very good as do most others. Wouldn’t expect anything less from Don to save face after his bravado predictions all came unstuck. Freo are a very good team at home, tigers just a bit better.

Can Richmond thread the needle of not bottoming out?

If the tigers beat Freo at home, Don’s head will explode. Got to admit, he’s always entertaining, more so when they lose.

Brisbane, St Kilda, Fremantle and Sydney off the bye: Are they contenders or pretenders?

Are there parallels with the 2018 season where the tigers were unbeatable for the majority of the season (finishing on top of the ladder), only to tire and falter as the home and away season came to a conclusion and to be comprehensively beaten in a preliminary final by Collingwood.
Hardwick had said he learnt from that season to pace the side during the early stages and peak at finals, which set them up for the next two seasons.
Collingwood are by far the best side in it at the moment, but can they maintain their dominance through a whole season with every other club trying to find and exploit any weaknesses? Essendon of 2000 could do it but they were exceptional.

Footy Fix: Supremely skilled in the sun, tough as nails in the wet - is there anything Fly's Pies can't do?

Wouldn’t mind that little seaside holiday unit instead of the farm. Worth much more now then the farm 😛

2023 Best 23s: Does influx of stars mean a brutal call for Trent Cotchin at Tigerland?

Robbie Tarrant or Nathan Broad, based on the omissions of Tim’s lineup.

2023 Best 23s: Does influx of stars mean a brutal call for Trent Cotchin at Tigerland?

When players such as Nathan Broad and Marlion Pickett are not even mentioned, the tigers must have extraordinary depth.

2023 Best 23s: Does influx of stars mean a brutal call for Trent Cotchin at Tigerland?

Is that team Don’s AA side?

AFL Trade Period power rankings: The team that cleaned up... and the one that just got nuked, AGAIN

The bulldogs will be doing a rain dance in Perth. Forecast is for rain there on Saturday.

The case for each top-eight team's premiership chances

North Melbourne don’t have a second round pick, or a third round pick for that matter. Held by Richmond and the Bulldogs.

Carlton should remember the pain but be optimistic for what the future holds

Hardwick for coach of the year. Gets a bottom 4 team into the eight!!

AFL All-Australian squad: Blue's shock snub, only one Daicos? All 44 players chosen... and the biggest omissions

Ritchie, you’ve got to stop biting. Don likes to provoke, it’s what he does. You, I and just about everyone else knows that losing Prestia made a huge difference to the tigers chances.

AFL NEWS: Stewart banned a month, De Goey back at Pies, Neale stays at Lions, Ryder calls out bar snitches

The difference between the Cotchin and Stewart incidents are Cotchin’s hands were on the ball when he slid into Shiel, the ball was 10 metres away when Stewart hit Prestia. The 2 incidents are not comparable

The AFL should send off players for violent actions that take a player out

100% Balta will play in the backline.

The Roar's AFL expert tips and predictions: Round 14

Don just being mischievous again with made up ‘facts’.

AFL Friday Footy Fix: 'Effort without system' sums up Dons, and what was up with those 150th anniversary celebrations?
