I guess it’s coming fruition….

The rise of Murray and tennis' next great rivalry

Well Arsenal aren’t satisgying their fans now are they Damiano…. Gentlemen, Arsenal are in crisis. That’s the reality. Not just these past few weeks but its bn consistently downhill for several years

The beautiful game is Arsene's fantasy

So you still reckon Arsenal is succeeding??? Get yo head out the toilet. The only major team letting their fans down more than Arsenal is Liverpool and only just. #lemon

The beautiful game is Arsene's fantasy

Because this ARSENAL FC not Villa or Fulham!!!

They are not failing according to your expectations or mine, they are failing according to the expectations Wenger himself sets for each season which is to win silverware. They have not! That is failure pointblank nothing complicated mate.

There is no direct comparison to Barcelona in this article, I merely compared footballing philosophies that is unarguable.

Stop looking at the past successes we are no longer dwelling on those we are trying to compete again any Arsena fan will tell you we don’t go out to entertain as you have suggested we want to win trophies….. FUN TO WATCH???? They won, deservedly they did what they had to do to thwart the opposition.

Read again and you will see that this article does not suggest in any way, shape or form that Arsene should be fired mate it is merely reflective of his failings and the need for improvement.

The beautiful game is Arsene's fantasy

Point taken. I believe Arsene has done a good job. But u cant mask his recent failure to win silverware by talking about the past. Its irrelevant we’re moving forward. And we also can’t mask this drought by consoling it with the ’73 thing, this is Arsenal FC ‘TRADITION, CLASS, HISTORY’. Without trophies he is failing the point was not that he should be sacked and replaced by Mourinho and Guardiola it is that the drought must come to an end. The philosophy must pay dividends

The beautiful game is Arsene's fantasy

AL i agree. Football should be played at the same level the world over. I stay in South Africa and Im sure we’re not the only place in the world which will not be able to employ devices such as GLT. As such some countries will fall behind the wealthier nations. Some countries move ‘forward’ while others are left behind. And why? To move with the times?

Goal-line technology would harm football

Cool story Fly On The Wall!!! Understood Dasilva you make a good point.

Goal-line technology would harm football

DaSilva what are you saying??? understand this, it won’t necessarily lead to that change immediately but it necessitates further change as that simple manuevre in the system does not eradicate the issue which we are trying to eliminate, human error. The coexisting of the two elements is disastrous. Further issues are created by adding one element of a whole idea

Goal-line technology would harm football

C and Nordster understand the basis of my argument if in fact I was not conclusive. Leave it as it is. This is not cricket, rugby or tennis so any comparisons with those sports are feeble. The concerns are not the same. Remember, soccer is the most popular sport in the world. It is as it is because of the constituences which are associated to it – why play around with it? Matt you’re completely lost though hahaha thats a scenario explaining the ineffectiveness of a combination of the two. U can’t have the best of both worlds. And football will not be adjudicated by robots anytime soon so we’re putting ourselves in a sticky mess

Goal-line technology would harm football

It messes with the mechanics which have made the game what it is. Like I said, If through this technology we realise that the ball has crossed the line would it not stand to reason for us to review the entire play and assess whether there have been no infringements whcih the referee may have missed??? The instituting of Goal line technology is vague.

It will just add controversy and cause a further rift in a notoriously technology-free sport

Goal-line technology would harm football

Arsenal will take the league, no doubt! hehe #arsenalfan

English Premier League: Contenders and pretenders

Cheers to Heyneke Meyer

The Boks' pivot conundrum

The point here, I believe, is the drama this otherwise well-intended gesture is stiring up. Remove it!!!

Never mind the handshakes, how about some football?

Arsenal are showing promise but its too early to make reservations on how well they’ve improved. City tomorrow will be a great test of Bould’s effect

Promising Spurs still lagging behind concrete Gunners

Thanks a lot Biltong and Gavin I appreciate it…. You guys shared some very interesting views here. I wholeheartedly believe that with the boks massive pack and a change at pivot the boks can outmuscle the ABs and the other rugby powerhouses. Goosen is superb! Jantjies is one of the most flamboyant ballers in the game. If Heyneke truly meant that his men had the coarage to find their way to the top then he needs to show coarage himself and put them in a position to achieve greatness…..

The Boks' pivot conundrum

Truth be told, I’m a Rafa fan but his wear and tear game is so risky in that he is susceptible to injury. What made the Fed vs Nadal rivalry was the fact that it proved Federer was not invincible. Nadal has always been beating Federer which for me made their encounters not so enthralling. Dont get me wrong this rivalry has been one of the most captivating but Murray vs Djokovic has the recipe to be something out of this world. I believe their head-to-head record is 8-7. While the Fed/Nadal record is like 16-9 to Nadal.

The rise of Murray and tennis' next great rivalry

This is a great article. I wholeheartedly believe Morne Steyn MUST be dropped for the Boks to dare to be great. I have an article in the pipelines discussing why? I hope you read it.

Has Meyer got the gameplan wrong?
