Rassie and Rugby SA apologise to Berry, drop appeal to ban

Taylor and Akira cannot start against big aggressive packs, TJ should never have been resigned and DMAC’s next contract should not be a costly one.
Moody had 20?mins before the Boks series – needs more.
Cane’s return desperately needed.
Foster needs to start making some tough calls…

Belief, brutal strength, bloody-mindedness: The Boks are bloody back, baby!

DMAC shouldn’t make the ABs – let alone an RC side.

Seven Wallabies, five All Blacks and three Boks in our Team of The Rugby Championship

Congrats to the Bafana Banfana Boks – if they hadn’t won that game it’d have to have been considered a travesty.
Both sides should be grateful of what they’ve learned from these outings. For the Boks they have a balanced game – only they need need to utilize it.
For the All Blacks, they don’t have a balanced game and better get one… quick.
Another poor performance from a NH ref, the ruck and the offside line become something requiring a code breaker to decipher.

Belief, brutal strength, bloody-mindedness: The Boks are bloody back, baby!

Seems you need more time still… You’d only have to look at their most recent opposition to see how silly your claim – the only reasonable excuse would be achromatopsia, is that what you suffer from Harry?

Best Barrett? Best Mo? Worst cliche? Still plenty to play for in TRC finale despite the inevitable results

For the most mixed team in world rugby 😂
So wrong it should be funny… I guess for some, some things are still very much black and white

Best Barrett? Best Mo? Worst cliche? Still plenty to play for in TRC finale despite the inevitable results

How many Oscar nominations can Bafana Bafana Boks conjure up this week?
Nienaber’s PR campaign talks of ‘DNA’ – seems to me this current crop of Boks are doing their absolute best to defy their heritage.
Boks forwards once admired for their toughness, now they can’t go a single stoppage without one or more being injured, thirsty or needing some personal time counselled by a yappy trainer.

Argies have had the worse of the draw by far, possible it hasn’t effected results but certainly the margins.

Best Barrett? Best Mo? Worst cliche? Still plenty to play for in TRC finale despite the inevitable results

Everyone I can find rated DMAC poorly … including myself.
You’re not related to little Frodo by any chance?

Damian McKenzie: Injected at fullback for final quarter, but couldn’t get hands on the pill much, with some shakes under the high ball. Some handy scramble defence. Score 4 Stuff NZ
‘On at 57 and showed why he can’t start against the South Africans, at least not in the backfield’ – Score 4.5 Rugby pass player ratings

All Blacks team: Weber at halfback, ALB returns, Mo'unga on bench as NZ chase 'Grand Slam'

Actually this quote comes from the ‘Breakdown’ series where he explains his position fairly comprehensively.

All Blacks team: Weber at halfback, ALB returns, Mo'unga on bench as NZ chase 'Grand Slam'

Exactly, there needs to be a variety of outcomes with an emphasis on providing transparent and fair competition in every facet – it’s why most of us prefer union over league.

Time wasting hurts more than just rugby's spectacle

Kwagga Smith was MOTM as far as I could tell

A narrow escape: what worked and what didn't for the All Blacks

A big issue for me was that the ABs didn’t adjust to how this ref was policing the ruck. Sure TJ’s service was poor, it’s never A Smith level. But between the ref allowing the Boks to attack him before the ball was lifted, and the ABs under committing numbers, his day was poor.

A narrow escape: what worked and what didn't for the All Blacks

Seems the current Boks wings don’t suffer Kirwans bias, nor any of their other players.

'Is it entertaining? No': All Blacks legend speaks out against Springboks' DNA

I agree with much if not all of what you say.
Do you think changing the points structure might help?
Penalties kicks at goal inside the 22m to remain as 3 points (red zone) but penalties side to be reduced to 2points.
Refs have to enforce penalties for time wasting, it is a joke.

Time wasting hurts more than just rugby's spectacle

I watched a reply of an old 2002 game played between the ABs and Boks recently, brilliant game – fairly low score but every skill in the game utilized by both sides. If they’d swap jerseys at halftime, by style alone no one would have known.
It’s a shame what happened to Bok Rugby, hopefully no other side chooses to replicate this style. It would be the death of the game watching two sides play like the Boks did in their last outing.
Imagine the game stats.
Kicks 120 (with neither side willing to run the ball )
Offloads 2
Passes – couple more than kicks.
Tacklers beaten o
Run meters 100
penalties 60
Seems terribly hard to defend a style if it is dependent on the fact that only one side should play it, or else the game turns into a farce. You couldn’t say this for any other style, than that of this current Bok side.
Boks need to change style, not just because they’re losing games.

'Is it entertaining? No': All Blacks legend speaks out against Springboks' DNA

Pretty sure they’re playing ENG not FRA, shame I’d have loved to have seen them against a full strength French side.

'Is it entertaining? No': All Blacks legend speaks out against Springboks' DNA

maybe with both need to watch it again, but he had no input in the last 20, dropped a bomb and gave up a penalty

All Blacks team: Weber at halfback, ALB returns, Mo'unga on bench as NZ chase 'Grand Slam'

DMAC have away a soft penalty too, struggled to see what you’re praising him for – the play never went to him in the last 20… what am I missing?

All Blacks team: Weber at halfback, ALB returns, Mo'unga on bench as NZ chase 'Grand Slam'

It’s BS to call this style the Boks DNA.
As I’ve said elsewhere, they are free to play how they choose (faking injuries and time wasting aside, especially when the clock isn’t stopped) but we can only hope that it doesn’t become the norm. Two sides playing like way would struggle to be called Rugby – Tackle Forcem Back maybe.

Sam Cane

TEAM CONFIRMED: McMahon on bench, Holmes becomes oldest Wallaby in pro era, Tate rested

or Do Not Adjust… At least that’s Nienaber’s instructions for his game plan

All Blacks team: Weber at halfback, ALB returns, Mo'unga on bench as NZ chase 'Grand Slam'

Fair call on RM, big sacrifice for 20mins, unless they pull a last minute swifty and have him start

All Blacks team: Weber at halfback, ALB returns, Mo'unga on bench as NZ chase 'Grand Slam'

👍
I’d suggest given the chance Boks would swap one of those home Argies for a home game against Aust or NZ… then again Boks don’t travel anywhere real well.

The Thursday rugby two-up: Who gains what from the final round?

Thought Samisoni Taukei’aho has been very good with ball in hand and a beast at the ruck… Aumua can be a devastating ball runner, more at Super level than I’ve seen at Test level and can go MIA.
Certainly not disappointed with the selection, just a little surprised.

All Blacks team: Weber at halfback, ALB returns, Mo'unga on bench as NZ chase 'Grand Slam'

I’m yet to be impressed with DMAC at test level, certainly not over and above other options. Isn’t he off overseas after this year?
