It’s pretty hard to find a “game plan at the MCG ” when you play there once a year. The group they have is fine and can play anywhere. Poor GF yes but young group who will be much better for it

That “journeyman T20 slogger” is leading the shield season in runs and was top 10 in the Matador. Agree he didn’t have the best BBL but credit where credit is due.

Doran is a long term prospect and there is nothing wrong with spending some time in Grade cricket to get some confidence back if they think that is what is needed.

If that is where games are won why couldn’t. Richmond, Port, Gold Coast beat them last year? As for the Nic Nat playing full season comment! he missed games because his mum passed away last year not because of injury. Played 23 games, 20 in 2014, 22 in 2012, 23 in 2011 and 22 in 2010? So only had one year whee he missed a big chunk of games. Seems pretty durable to me?

Should be very good again and will likely finish top 2. The flat track bullies was blown completely out of proportion last year as per usual. Additions of Redden, Jetta and Eric Mackenzie will be massive as well as more improvement from guys who are at a perfect age to start dominating in Shuey, Gaff, Shepard, Masten, Nic Nat and then the improvement again out of guys like Elliot Yeo should make this team very fun to watch as well as hard to beat.

It’s a balancing act for the Tigers at the moment between giving young guys a game and developing them at shield level and struggling (as is evident) or making them score some big runs at grade level. Paine got pushed out after two games but now Triffit is struggling again.
Some big calls on some experienced guys futures coming up this winter.

Doolan has been in poor form for two years now, Doran is a good talent just needs time, like McDermott.
