Yellow Card
74‘ – TRY WARATAHS – TAQELE NAIYARAVORO
He honestly makes it look like a man running against U14/s. Gets the ball off the grubber in behind from the Sunwolves, and skins three defenders on his way to running 40m to score his second of the night.
Foley throws it over.

Yellow Card
70‘ – YELLOW CARD – FUMIAKI TANAKA
Tanaka gets his marching orders for a neck roll on Jake Gordon, and the Sunwolves will play the last 10 with 13 men.

64‘ – TRY WARATAHS – MICHAEL WELLS
Simple stuff from the Tahs, and this is turning into training ground stuff. They’re not taking their foot off the pedal, though.
Ball starts with Taqele on the left, and touches nearly every set of hands on the way to Wells who seagulls on the right edge, falling under one to score. \
Kick is a tough one, bang on Foley’s bad touchline – it’s a goodie again.

62‘ – TRY WARATAHS – CURTIS RONA
Basketball pass from Phipps! It starts with Beale who dips through a hole and shifts right to HJH. He takes the tackle, before Phipps pops a basketball pass over the top to Rona in the corner, who dots down for a five pointer.
Kick is a goodie.
Waratahs: 53
Sunwolves: 25

57‘ – TRY SUNWOLVES – AKIHITO YAMADA
WOAH! Ball shifts left from the Sunwolves and it’s with Yamada who goes one on one with Folau. He stands him up and darts round the outside to score in the corner. Very impressive.
Parker kicks true from the sideline.

54‘ – TRY WARATAHS – TAQELE NAIYARAVORO
Passing from the Tahs in the lead up is awful, but somehow it bounces into the path of the big left winger. He runs over Nakamura, and scores his 13th for the season.
Blowout game here.
Foley’s kick is over.

50‘ – Almost one of the tries of the year for the Tahs!
Ball shifted left, quick hands and interplay from Hanigan, Miller and Phipps, before the last pass is just spilt by Latu 10m out.
Sunwolves scrum 10m from their own line as I type.

Try
46‘ – TRY WARATAHS – NICK PHIPPS
Yep, it’s going to get ugly. Starts from nothing at the Tahs 22, Simmons breaks through some soft defence, and gallops 30m before dishing back inside to the trailing Phipps who isn’t going to get caught from 40m out. Dots down under the sticks.
Foley throws it over.

Try
46‘ – TRY WARATAHS – NED HANIGAN
This could get ugly for the Sunwolves now. Starts with Folau, who breaks two tackles and goes 40m before dishing to Naiyaravoro. He hits Phipps inside, and they go all the way right, before hitting back left, where Foley – who’s having his best game of the season, holds it up beautifully for Miller who goes through the hands to Beale, to Naiyaravoro to Hanigan who dots down. Great try.
Kick is away.

Penalty Goal
42‘ – Penalty Goal Tahs.
Second half up and running, and it’s an immediate penalty for the Tahs, Sunwolves not releasing in the breakdown. Foley will point to the sticks, knocks it over – wonderful start to the half.

Yep, contact with the head and no attempt to safely put him down.

39‘ – TRY TAHS – ISRAEL FOLAU –> RED CARD SEMISI MASIREWA
Lovely lead up play once again, Gibson will be a happy coach at half time.
They shift right off the lineout, and a messy ball is cleaned up by the Tahs. Hit back left, and push through Kepu who doubles round with Foley. The Tahs five-eighth dummies past one and breaks the line, before dishing to Folau who is in for his double.
We go back for a look too at Masirewa’s late tackle on Foley, and it’s an ugly tip tackle. Will definitely be a yellow, question is if it’s a red? First contact is with the head. Yep – the refs confirm it. Red Card it is, and Semisi Masirewa looks to the sky in frustration, knows he did the wrong thing. This could get ugly for the Sunwolves.
As it stands, Foley is up and ok, will kick the conversion from near the left edge, away to the right.

39‘ – Penalty Tahs
Will Miller with a big pilfer in the shadows of half time, and Foley dips it into touch.
Fitzpatrick lineout 10m the Sunwolves side of halfway.

35‘ – TRY WARATAHS – KURTLEY BEALE
Great team try from the Tahs, and the points continue to rain down in Sydney. Cam Clark with the nice lead up play to Foley who busts down the right edge. He dishes inside to Phipps who finds Kepu, his last pass hits Beale who scores untouched. Nice lead up play, and a good team try. Entertaining stuff.
Kepu has been enormous tonight.
Kick is a formality, and the Tahs lead by one with five to play in the first stanza.

33‘ – Penalty Tahs, and Foley kicks to the line, 20m out from the Sunwolves line. Fitzpatrick to throw, and the Tahs spill it in the lineout.
Sunwolves scrum on their own 22 with 7 to play in the half.

30‘ – TRY SUNWOLVES – MICHAEL LEITCH
Hanigan will hate the replay of this. Missed the original tackle on Yamada, before drifting left onto Leitch. Went high in the tackle, and got swatted away like a fly to let the ex-Chiefs flanker stroll over for another five pointer. Tries galore here at Allianz.
Parker’s kick is 15m to the left of the left upright, he’s missed it!!!! His first missed kick in his last 39 attempts. He chuckles.

27‘ – TRY WARATAHS – ISRAEL FOLAU
Waratahs hit right back off the lineout 10m their side of halfway. Phipps dishes to Beale, who throws a two man cut out face ball to a flying Folau who took it just at the last second to break the line. He outruns Yamada and scores in the left corner.
Kick is off the post.

24‘ – TRY SUNWOLVES – AKIHITO YAMADA
That is a ridonkulous try from the Sunwolves!!
Robertson gets whacked in the tackle from Emery, spilling the ball up field. Parker swoops and flops the ball over the top – it looks for all money to be rolling into touch, but Yamada swoops from nowhere, grabs it, tiptoes down the sideline and scores under the sticks. Great kick chase, great kick, great team try.
Kick, as always, is over.

18‘ – Helter skelter stuff here, the Sunwolves kicking too deep on attack, before the Tahs break through Cam Clark down the right edge. His inside ball is intercepted, before the Sunwolves win a penalty and tap and go quickly.
A couple of phases later, the Tahs turn the ball over before Phipps’ box kick drifts out on the full.
Catch your breath! Sunwolves lineout 10m the Tahs side of halfway.

13‘ – TRY WARATAHS – SEKOPE KEPU
The Tahs hit back straight away, and it started with the kick off win from Folau. The ball shifted left to Jed Holloway who burnt two defenders, giving Phipps front foot ball. They then swing right, and the ball finds Kepu who carries two over with him for his second of the year.
Foley’s kick is a tough one, near this right sideline – Stunner kick.

36 straight for Parker, even into this stiff breeze.
He knocks it over from 42m after the breakdown infringement, and the Sunwolves strike first.

8‘ – Penalty Sunwolves – Hayden Parker is a complete freak with the boot, knocking over his last 35 attempts at goal… They opt to kick for touch here, though, and the Sunwolves have a lineout on the Tahs 22.

3‘ – Penalty Tahs
Ed Quirk lying all over it, and Foley points to the corner – but kicks it dead in goal. Coach killers.
Hayden Parker with a big 22m dropout.

Try
76‘ – TRY WARATAHS – ALEX NEWSOME
The bench cashing in now, and the Tahs score from the first phase. Holloway climbs up and takes it, brushes two and finds Newsome on his inside with the last pass. He runs 40m untouched to score.
Kick is off the upright.
