Noods,
my feeling is that this group must know who the state unions and SR will put up for the interim board otherwise it’s just spitting into the wind.
Never call for a vote (or an inquiry) unless you know the outcome.
If they don’t know then they’re as naive as all get out.

BD,
I think 1. is essential for the credibility of SR as a professional sporting competition but will never happen.
You nailed the rest.

TWAS,
I think that would be “people who think the same way I do”.

Including Phil Waugh.

Bliks,
his position should be part of the review and he also has to bear some of the fallout from his time on the Board.

Don,
this is the bit I just can’t get. Selective absolution and apportionment of accountability. I felt the Board had to own HMcL/EJ/WC as a group, one in all in including the apparent Golden Child now CEO. In the same way you can’t credit just the CEO with the later good stuff.
You can’t kick 6 of them up the ar$e will simultaneously patting one of them on the head and handing him a lollypop.
Not sure how QLD feel about this group throwing DH under the bus either.

RT,
how do you know the “Interim Committee” won’t advocate for the status quo after doing their reviews, or decide that now is not the right time to turn things upside down?
Do you already know who the States and SR teams would put up and what their agendas are? If so please share. You say none of your group would stand but clearly you know who would take the reins on the interim board because otherwise why bother?
I don’t understand how you can be so sure that just because it’s change you want, it’s change you’ll get unless “the fix is in”. If it’s in just let us know eh?

The “burning platform” theory.

Even if in the highly unlikely event this comes to pass that is a hell of an agenda for 6 part time board members and an organisation planning Lions and WC to achieve in 12 months, totally unrealistic and a huge distraction, as noted by @robertthebruce.

Ken,
we’re all individuals, just like everyone else!
Five things: What Beale has over other golden oldies, double pain for Brumbies as Blues expose Australia's biggest weakness
DM,
if he gets match fit he’s first lock picked in my eyes, clearly world class. Who gets picked with him and the bench is going to be interesting.
Next week, ie: second game back is going to be the hardest and most risky due to recovery etc., should play less minutes.

AtW,
typically in Australia “Mickey Mouse” is what you thought it was but I suppose there’s exceptions.

The game is better if you just ignore the officials, it really is. I’ve become a bit ‘Zen’ about this in my old age, but people just can’t let things go. I thought we watched games for enjoyment?
Remember the old saying: “don’t sweat the small stuff, and it’s all small stuff”?

So you could spill the board and get the status quo.
