Kolbi blocked the two points was the difference. Epic!!!

'Heartbroken': Springboks knock France out of RWC in dramatic, controversial QF as 'key moment' highlighted

There were some exiting games today that imo deserve more attention than TMOs, we could touch this topic after the WC, to do it now is taking away the excitement of the big quarterfinals ahead.
I have been addressing the fact of the early pools selection that could lead to the situation we are facing now. But like of many coaches, the people in WR do not seem to listen . They are in their own world with other interests.

The Wrap: Wallabies are on their way home - can they please take the TMOs with them?

IMO the Wallabies and AR lost the game few years ago by the time WF was sacked from SR, or may be earlier than that. I remember that in those days SA was in trouble but the path they took was different, so different that ended up with a RWC title and a big contender to another one. These is all about the blazers taking wrong decisions. For example sacking WF where at least you had 30 plus more players playing at international level. Or the sacking of coaches after coaches for instants results. Or the Guitau law that kept many good players out of the Wallabies team that would have helped build a better national team with better results. SR was the best thing to have to develop players even if none of those teams made it to the play off. The obsession of beating NZ ended up in this final result with is more shameful than loosing to NZ .

Gone in six-and-a-half minutes: where the Wallabies RWC campaign got away from them

No , my friend . The experiment began with Ledesma, MC only made Gonzalez played 8.

Pumas' crucial Samoa scalp keeps World Cup alive, sends Wallabies to historic rankings low

Los Pumas won in a performance we can call it low key. The problem has been the same . The three players that touches the pill the most in rugby are the scrum half, the Fly half , the hocker and the number 8. Los Pumas play with a very slow scrum half with poor kicking skills, a number 10 that is not a natural fly half, and a number 8 who is a a natural 7. The result is that LosPumas have a hard time playing rugby because the players that supposed to drive the offensive plays do not perform due to luck of skills or because they play in different positions than they supposed to. End of story.

Pumas' crucial Samoa scalp keeps World Cup alive, sends Wallabies to historic rankings low

Seldom a team that commits 17 penalties win a game. Wallabies have earned many cards during the RCH , they have fixed that but not the penalty count.

The Wrap: Group C fast becoming everyone’s favourite - except for the Wallabies as early flight home looms large

Nobody seems to be holding the ball so far in the tournament and that it is a fact. Coaches and players should take note and change their strategies.

'We dug in for Cuzza': England overcome their first-ever RWC red card to quell Argentina

Two things: 1- Argentina has a player wearing the number 10 in the back of his shirt and he is not a flyi- half. I Have been saying this since the put Carreras on that position. 2- Argentina is not mature enough to be the favourite, they rather be the underdogs which is something that they are used to and feel more confortable.

'We dug in for Cuzza': England overcome their first-ever RWC red card to quell Argentina

Well done G. , I hope with this writing for the Roar and Planet Rugby leave you sometime to enjoy french wine and delicatessen. It is to early to say but ABs lack of many things, commitment, precision, concentration, accuracy, and ability to get out of their territory is something strange. France could go all the way, without much managed to stay in the game in the first half, and in the second played in black territory milking penalties.

Lift off! World Cup opener is just the rocket boost to hook in all of France

Lack of energy, lack of commitment , lack of discipline, and surprise difficulties to get out of their own territory imo were tge biggest fault for the ABs. France was able to stay in the match due to a good performance on the ser piece, excellent kicker for penalties.

Allez, Allez! All Blacks suffer first RWC pool loss as France make huge statement, Fozzie remains upbeat

And J Barret for me is key in this team.

OMG, the luxury on the roar is back!!! We need Nick and it would be a complete feast!!!

SPIRO ZAVOS: The best team in the tournament, not necessarily the best team, will win the 2023 RWC

France, Argentina.

From 'hang it in the Louvre' bangers to the worst World Cup jersey ever - we rate the good, bad and Irish of RWC kits

Argentina will switch from Nike to Le Coq Sportive after the RWC. Contracts have already signed. I am not so sure that Le Coq will remain with France.

Well, we will see. I think that many people are putting to much pressure on the kid, and the they should let him develop.

Top 10 playmakers at Rugby World Cup - and why the Wallabies' young gun has the game's toughest gig

IMO Sanchez is better but he suffers healthy problems. He gets injured very often. Carreras has been an experiment for a while and coaches decided to bet for him. JM Mallia is a more complete fullback than Carreras although with ball in hand Carreras is better.

Do not take it literally Paul.

Top 10 playmakers at Rugby World Cup - and why the Wallabies' young gun has the game's toughest gig

I am not much fun of S. Carreras at 10 , but imo he is definitely ahead of C Gordon. This kid needs at least 25 tests before becoming a contender for the top ten.

Top 10 playmakers at Rugby World Cup - and why the Wallabies' young gun has the game's toughest gig

Hi Harry, I do not get involved in other teams although I have mi opinion, but for Los Pumas JC Mallia is on the the best back there. If Bofelli was not the kicker I would choose Mallia because he is a better playmaker and finisher.

RWC Backs Power Rankings: 'Cohesive, smart' Ireland edge ABs, the glimmer of hope for unproven Wallabies

The physicality of the Boks and the playmakers and localisms of France make them top contenders for the title. In a second step the experience and tradition of the ABs with the teamwork of Ireland make them dangerous oppositions . Pumas have the players and the coaching to be with Fiji the dark horses of the tournament. Cards, injuries, bad calls and bad days, make England, Australia, Wales and Scots posible surprises.

World Cup Top 10 Power Rankings: Wallabies' missing piece, ABs still possess super power, and why France edge Ireland

Very nice Harry, IMO you are spot on with LP. Scrum and Fly Half are the weak point for Argentina. Carreras only plays aceptable in the position when they have JC Mallia at 15 and calls the plays and take command of the attack. A bad news today for the scrum is that T. Chaparro is out of the WC , his Aquiles tendon is gone.

Weakest links, not superstars, often decide World Cups: So where are the fatal flaws in the top 10 contenders?

IMO whit this new so call Bunker rule I would removed the responsibility from the ref of the red card. Just give the yellow and let the judges upstairs to watch the images and decide if the red card should have be issued.

The Wrap: Why the Owen Farrell fiasco is a good thing for rugby

So we now have all these different layers of officials to make calls that can contradict each other on a particular play. Interesting, this is a clear manner to bend a game or a tournament in someones favor. It is exactly the opposite of what people want to see. Games and tournaments won or lost away from the field. Congratulation WR.

'Mockery', 'broken game', 'laughing stock': Rugby rages as red card reversal clears Owen Farrell for World Cup

So if any team looses the game because it could not cope playing a man disadvantage due to a wrongful red card everything would be ok?

Average test matches of the players: NZ 45, SA 39, ARG 33, AUS 20
Average age: SA 30, 3. ARG 28, 7 . NZ 28, 2. AUS 26,4
