Just my opinion mate. They look to be getting some form back and I know they have had an easy ish three weeks. Just a hunch. Crows still have a list to play finals and finish top 6 at least with a bit of luck.

Where is Hawthorn going?

Sorry my bad ! ???? human error there lol

Where is Hawthorn going?

10. Stephen Kernahan 9. Peter Daicos 8. Paul Salmon 7. John Longmire 6. Stuart Loewe 5. Tony Modra 4. Gary Ablett Snr 3. Tony Lockett 2. Jason Dunstall 1. Wayne Carey. This is what the author said was his top 10 full forwards from 1987 to 2000. Loved his article and it has a lot of merit. But the list is flawed. A full forward to me spends most of the time in the forward 50. Wayne Carey was not a full forward he was a CENTRE HALF FORWARD. Jason Dunstall for mine is number 1 for sheer consistency. He booted 82 goals or better in the following years 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994 and also in 1996. Stuart Loewe was in no way better than the men behind him due to his shocking inaccuracy which reduced his effectiveness.

Where are the full forwards?

Rossi has won 9. And he’s Rossi. Remember that.

Marquez has a long way to go before he gets to 5 titles as hes only won 2 and he will most likely win no.3 this weekend. They dont grow on trees. He’s good but wait and see a little bit i dont doubt he will be very good. But 10? mmm

Sydney won oh how did i predict that 😉

Sydney Swans inch back to glory

A few weeks ago I tried to create a fair fixture too. It’s bloody hard and pretty impossible to do fairly. My idea was to have a 22 round system, and have each team play each other once, then play 5 other teams again. So have Section A pies cats hawks eagles blues saints and so forth (from last years ladder positions). People said that the idea was Ok except a bottom team might get an advantage by playing weaker sides around them twice

The new and improved AFL fixture and draft?

@ JD, Tanking in my opinion is not having your best possible team out there at the time, and also ‘trying’ players in different positions. What I especially detest is the way clubs who battle early in the year fall away badly around round 11-12. They lose a few, then drop players injuries occur, and they become non-competitive. That’s why I really like teams like Geelong, Sydney and Collingwood. They are just competitive clubs, need more of them in the AFL 🙂

Tanking, is it real or not?

yes i agree theres been a lot of unpredictable seasons. But this one in my opinion has been better as there hasn’t been one standout team all year. Sydney might fit that bill, but they still haven’t played the pies and yeah the MCG is a bit of a hoodoo for them. I’ve only started to really follow footy since 2007, but i’ve watched footy since 2000. So yeah im young but in my lifetime this is the best year, including 1997.

Is this AFL's best season ever?

I reckon the Bulldogs arent too far off actually. They haven’t had any trouble getting it inside 50, just finding a forward to mark it has been the problem. Losing Hall last year hurt, and now Jones has been found out. The bloke is clearly not ready to be a forward. Maybe they should go after Kurt Tippett? 🙂
