I can see kiwis being very happy with this. It will be get rid of the coach and the captain but hey Australia, you must keep yours.

ANALYSIS: Wallabies need three wins to be taken seriously, and everything points to a dogfight in week one

Any Wallaby coach that allows the Wallabies to slip below 4th should be sacked immediately in my opinion. Especially foreign ones. If we are going to have a fool of a coach he should at least be our fool.
Like Cheika.

It won’t be benchtops or headstones, it will be old fashioned stone masonary. He clearly has an artistic streak.

We already have a crisis.

Would you be happy with a similar winning percentage for the All Blacks ?

If three games aren’t won, kiwis will still be begging Australia to keep Rennie and others who consistently lose.
If the All Blacks lose some games on tour, Australians will be begging kiwis to keep Ian Foster.

It’s surprising how many people who don’t like criticism, don’t mind dishing it out themselves.

'Great time in my life': Hoops explains why he left the Wallabies, where he's at, and what comes next

Fair dinkum leaguies can not defend to save themselves. Even Koribete still gets lost.

Seven NRL players Rugby Australia should poach

I’m the most influential commentator in Australian rugby, apparently

I support Ewen McKenzie. I feel very sorry for him for the way he was treated. It is the only decent thing to do.

just a typo

Being an elite coach is reflected by more than just the scoreboard

Neinbar is hopeless yes. Erasmus is outstanding.

Coach Power Rankings: Cheik at 5, Eddie at 7, Dave below both. Plus a surprise No.1 ahead of autumn series

Rebuild from the ground up my butt. He just had to drop most of Cheika’s plodding Tahs .
He’s just re selected Bernard Foley. That’s not rebuilding, it’s regurgitating.

The Wrap: Let's get the Wallabies and All Blacks on the plane before they run out of players

It’s the same with the Wallabies except kiwis think Australian players are all rubbish, except for the ones that are no threat to the All Blacks, like Hooper

Jake White is a great coach, for South Africans

And have only won against weak teams with hopeless coaches. Rennie, Cheika and Neinbar, who is about one tenth of the coach Erasmus is.
The Boks will be firing at the World Cup as Neinbar gets pushed aside.

He’s the head coach. He is the head selector. He sets the game plan. He’s getting paid a million dollars a year.

Strewth am I really that influential ?

The Wrap: Let's get the Wallabies and All Blacks on the plane before they run out of players

Why do kiwis think they are above any criticism, even in Australia ?
It’s amazing.

Thank you.

We can only improve if Rennie is dumped. He literally could not be worse. We are ninth.

Deans went OK for the first 12 to 18 months. It usually takes that long for a new international coach to have some effect. Like Cheika. I actually supported Deans being appointed but my kiwi friends were telling me no, no, no. Probably after the John Mitchell/Deans coaching debacle of the All Blacks and South Islanders in particular seemed to know Deans was a dud, in advance. Those who had a pretty good knowledge of what went on in Canterbury.

The Wallabies went downhill pretty quickly after two years of Deans despite having exceptional players who were close to the best in the world in their position at the time, like Cooper, JOC, Beale, Horwill, Digby Ioane, Genia. Deans was chopping and changing the team all the time, never letting players play in one position for long, no discernable game plan. The Wallabies were a complete shambles come the Lion series , Australian interest in rugby was at one of it’s lowest ebbs.

Deans had done his job and was summarily sacked. The parallels with Dave Rennie are uncannily similar.

Of course kiwis think Deans and Rennie are fantastic, just as Australians think Ian Foster is fantastic.

The players are in fact as good as they were in the past. We just have hopeless coaches, who have mainly been kiwis ……
