He is currently the analyst for Racing 92 so not sure he is on the market. I am hoping that Australia can form an intel sharing with Ireland the same way the ABs have done with Wales.

The best part of this entire process was hearing RA keep him at the Reds for the greater good of the game. The Wallabies are only as good as our SR teams and the SR teams have been our greatest failures in recent times…So I am over the moon to see RA thinking about how to better the SR teams in their decision process.

Whoever told you that Mafi is a great lineout thrower is someone I would stop listening to. It has always been a weakness in his game as he melts under pressure. Just put front jumpers up and he falls apart.

TWS, I know what you mean by looking at the Rebel’s current lineout performance. I don’t think Parling is the guy for teaching Hookers the basic skills all Hookers must have and I think this is what is letting the Rebels down. Those Rebels hookers have been rubbish lineout throwers their entire career under every coach. Looking at Schmits record I can’t see him carrying players who don’t have the basic skills of set piece so this should remove this issue for Parling.

I have to say, this entire process has been very smooth. I feel like there is a far greater purpose going on. Putting what has previously happened behind us, things seem to be going in the right direction.

I would move all professional level rugby to RA and all amature and grass roots rugby to the state unions. No more local politics holding the professional game back and the obvious efficiency gains removing pointless duplications. Having governing bodies half in professional and half in Amature/grassroots is never going to put focus on grassroots Rugby.

I think assistant coach would be a great move for DC and that is where he should have started. He might not be the coach for today but he could definitely be the coach for tomorrow.
