I would move all professional level rugby to RA and all amature and grass roots rugby to the state unions. No more local politics holding the professional game back and the obvious efficiency gains removing pointless duplications. Having governing bodies half in professional and half in Amature/grassroots is never going to put focus on grassroots Rugby.

I think assistant coach would be a great move for DC and that is where he should have started. He might not be the coach for today but he could definitely be the coach for tomorrow.

Looking at the modern game I think the blue print at Test level is a big body 12 without sacrificing the ability to distribute. But in saying that, we don’t have this option so I think having a 10 at 12 is a good option. I like Carter Gordon as a potential 12 and also see him as a 15 given his speed.

The number 10 spot is going to come down to how the Wallabies want to play. Not so sure if the goal kicking is as big of an issue with our 9 options who can cover this. Larkham was not a goal kicker. I would say that the 10 options have all come on which is really positive. Hopefully we see them to continue to develop as it is great to have multiple names being thrown around who are all at different development stages.

Herbert and Waugh together seem to be not taking rash decisions and looking long term for the game. I want to see this play out.

I do not argue that RA has had some very poor leadership but the current lot are finally thinking longer term. I can’t be upset with the performance since November as they seem to have wrestled some common sense back into RA.

“Olly, the state and territory unions are the only reason the game is alive in Oz” No and an absolute no and frankly this style of thinking is an insult to the real people keeping a pulse in grassroot rugby. Let’s be crystal clear about this..The only people keeping grassroots Rugby alive are the community people donating their free time to coach, ref and attempt to run Rugby clubs with zero support. These are the people keeping the game alive while seeing nothing from the money players etc are paying to the state unions.

It would be great if players who are not getting the game time minutes could be loaned to other teams. The Force and the players could benefit from this
