Living in London where I have no local rugby team now bar Barnes u12 Girls, but my heart resides with Warringah, Wallabies and the Waratahs. Oh, and the NSW and Australian cricket teams

Ah, Paris in late summer. Just the wife and I, kid at home and a pair of tickets to Australia vs Georgia. What speaks…
Not sure what I feel about this. Some meat on the bones of your proposition but I could probably have done the same with a day free to consider the areas that need to be addressed.
I’m also deeply concerned that we are being asked to blow up the current board for a largely anonymous entity.
That said, your goals for an RA board make sense.

For sure, Dusty. I genuinely hope I’m made to eat these words and the Brums play big on Saturday. For sure, they have it in them
Five things: What Beale has over other golden oldies, double pain for Brumbies as Blues expose Australia's biggest weakness
And that view on Cale is fine. Shouldn’t expect a kid with a handful of SR games to be test match ready, regardless of his physical talents. I refer everybody to Tom Hooper. A test match forward is a different beast

Lot of chatting from him too. Whenever he was in closeup, he was talking to teammates, letting them know what needed doing. Christy was bang on wrt the benefit of having those experienced voices.

I’m willing to get excited about Rodda. I’ve been waiting two years to do so. He’s a proper world class lock with a big engine, power, work rate and lineout nous. Fingers crossed he stays fit

I don’t think Swain or Neville were ever likely Wallaby starters if the alternatives were fit.

Thanks Geoff, a good read. I hate the idea of rugby throwing any of its constituents under a bus but Lomani needs to learn a lesson. The outrageous good fortune he endured at the judiciary isn’t a free pass to behave like a knob. Contrition is part of any plea of mitigation and he’s shown none.
The Wrap: Why SANZAAR must hold Frank Lomani accountable for 'going back for his hat'
This round is huge for Oz rugby and Wallaby consideration. Jimbo, I think you’re talking out your butt when it comes to “blatant favouritism” but a couple of your guys have been poorly treated by Wallaby coaches and have a chance to make a statement to that effect.
I think we should all ignore Eddie’s picks except that it gave us a look at some people we might otherwise not have seen and just focus on how blokes are going this season and particularly in matches against the big 3 Kiwi sides.
I’m intrigued that Tom Hooper isn’t starting for a pack that was monstered and wonder if Reimer might give Brums more on ball threat and thus slow attacking ball when they’re under the pump.
I really hope the Brums find their best form and belt the Canes this week and we need to revisit any perceptions
Brumbies 'systematically taken apart by the Blues' in 'non-contest' as Larkham's men cop huge reality check
Thanks. I thought I was clear. Brumbies remain the best SR team in Oz but this year, they have capitulated badly against the two big Kiwi sides they have played. Which is worrying if people think we pick a lot of Brums in a Wallaby pack.
They have a chance to change that impression this weekend and I hope they do. If it’s another thumping though, even the most rabid fan has to acknowledge we can’t pick Brum forwards and expect a good outcome in the RC.

I specifically said they were soft in two games. Do I need to be clearer?

They were monstered by Chiefs and Blues. Didn’t match them physically.

Not going to get much credibility knocking the ref when the team is stuffed out of sight and concede 40 points.

High brow stuff.

Lynagh is composed, which is good but I agree, he’s not quick
'Like a Scud missile': World Cup reject leads rout, but Reds suffer fresh blow with Petaia's season in jeopardy
Just home from dropping the kid at scouts and seeing this scoreline. Don’t think I will watch the replay.
Early season, it was concerning how soft the Brums forwards were but they’re all back now and this is a real wake up call.
Hard to see many Brums big men making Wallaby squads if they’re manhandled every time they play a big game.

Agree with all of this. Talent factory at Qld working fine

Was Thomas cracking? Livewire behind a dominant pack but he was very inaccurate. Like for like swap with Tate.
I thought the kid off the bench was better.
Jock was good, pack was good, Paisami was good. Lynagh can execute a game plan.

You’re suggesting one of the highest rated hookers in T14 is deficient on set piece? Have you seen him play for the last 3 years?
Aussie-born England capped rake Nic Dolly signs with Force ... and he'll soon be eligible for the Wallabies
Happy for the Force and Dolly but he’s been nowhere near the Leicester starting XV this season. Can’t even recall him on the bench although I stand to be corrected.
He’s a solid player, no more. If he becomes starting hooker at Force, he still wouldn’t be in the top 6 hookers in Australia on current form.

No, as a player. Sorry, thought it was obvious what I meant

Sure, why not. If SS clubs can afford to pay a wage

What do you think? Of course

Yes. For it to work, some players need to leave. We can still pick them

I’m thinking that’s an option we will look at.
Enough of realistic expectations, let's get excited about future Wallabies
Apologies for saying otherwise re names. Didn’t see it here so wasn’t aware.
I remain confused how I feel. As JD says, can we stand another round of bloodletting when it appears a lot of good work has begun, whilst acknowledging this board has presided over some whopper mistakes?
