Boyd is lucky to be keeping his spot on the wing the way he’s going.
Matty Bowen has been playing well, and I don’t think that Inglis will be moved from the centres, one because Nielsen hasn’t really been setting the world on fire, and two because a big part of their game plan revolves around hitting the Blues right edge defenders.
Be a bit harsh sending the kid otu on debut in the deciding match at Lang Park, so I’d say Bowen will get in there.
Barba returns to Mackay with Origin on his mind
“To me it was a great insight into what is happening in our society – particularly in regards to how we treat our footballers.”
This was pretty evident to anyone who followed the St Kilda story last year. The loudest, shrillest voices normally win out.
Where is the justice for Brett Stewart?
Darrell Trindall was just as bad, but less publicized. Telegraph said he had been arrested in Thailand for being a child sex tourist, was the first he or the Thai police had heard of it, and they recently failed to stop defamation proceedings go to court.
The Herald got the tip too, but decided contacting the Thai police before reporting it might be a more solid option.

The Wallabies are a national team, which makes it a bit worse, but do other teams introduce themselves as sponsor + nickname in their countries at the ground and call Australia just the “Wallabies”?
In 2005 a team in Austria “Salzburg” was bought by Red Bull and had their name changed to “Red Bull Salzburg”. Team was founded in 1935, very sad.
Good article mate.
Is it time to rename the Wallabies?
Hey Leftie,
I looked at this a while a go for the cricket, but I haven’t bought one yet, so could be a bit dodgy for all I know.

At the game the best bet is the Sports Ears they sell. They’re bloody expensive though, and I’m pretty sure they don’t work across codes (I have an NRL set, they didn’t work at the cricket so I didn’t bring them to any AFL games I’ve been too).
NRL needs more choice with radio coverage
Johnno, a man who has never set foot in a modern newroom.
Cadet reporter fired for 'even-handed, positive' NRL coverage
Love the 3-2-1, but I’d love golden try with the leader after 10 minutes if no try the winner.
However, in a random sequence of events, what would happen if someone nailed 5 field goals in that time, the other team scores and fails to convert?
Time for NRL to tinker with points system
The Immortal concept annoys me as the requirement that the players be post war makes a mockery of the title, let alone the concept. Dave Brown and Dally Messenger are still taljed about, hint hint.
Andrew Johns? If people are so up in arms about that I wonder what happens when Shane Warne enters the picture as a cricketing great. Also brings a tricky question, what if Bill Bloggs is named tomorrow and 3 years from now is caught nose high in a pile of white powder, is the title stripped.
Sorry for getting sidetracked with responding to other posters, but Jack Gibson is a great idea Lordy. The more I think about it, the more it makes sense.
Should Jack Gibson be annointed an Immortal?
Our wingers will need to be on guard 😉
Too true though, outstanding impact player and has added a kicking game of all things! Need to shut him down early and get in his face, the big man moves when he gets going.
State of Origin II preview: The four keys to the game
Adam Reynolds will be there next year if he keeps up his form imo. Great kicking, sneaky running and a fierce competitor.
State of Origin II preview: The four keys to the game
Pocock would dominate, most of the others are possiblies given the right circumstances probablies, etc.
Would dominate if you threw him out this Wednesday imo.
If Gallen had gone the other way he would be first name on the teamsheet for the Wallabies (along with Pocock).
Have a niggling theory a direct swap, Cronk for Quade would have benefitted both games too, but too late you’d think for Cronk. Quade would play as a playmaking fullback, Cronk No. 10.
Bloody hell, Wallabies last Sat, Socceroos tonight and Origin tomorrow, only an impending Ashes series could make this week better.
Which Wallabies could be playing State of Origin?
Twas a great innings, but as any bowler knows, batting is a mugs game, and any bowler could do it if he was bothered ;).
In all honesty, that made a match destroyed by weather pretty great.
It's official: Tino is the very Best
And he may just have discovered the answer to wrestling in the process.

Was one of the comments during the start of Super League. Kids in Bankok and Beijing will be following the Sharks and wanting to be ET and so on.
What's the real reason why Gallop jumped?
With Buckley as well, when I was at the WS fan forums he copped it from certain sections for having an AR background at multiple venues.
NRL CEO David Gallop resignation surprises, but time is right
They were pretty bullish in talking up the rights during the presser.
Gallop resigns but who is Shane Mattiske?
Ribot lol. People in Beijing will be wearing Sea Eagles jumpers within 10 years.
What's the real reason why Gallop jumped?
During his time I would say that it was. Having to negotiate between the ARL and News ltd having 50/50 ownership of the game with News having their hands both over in game expenditure (which they would take millions out of every year), and also the main source of incoming money (Television rights).
Right now not so much.
FFA would come VERY close (I could easily be argued in favour of this idea), however, with setting up the A-League, dealing with team owners losses, etc.
NRL CEO David Gallop resignation surprises, but time is right
People have been suggesting Todd Greenberg, hope that aint true.

He has been scoring, but you’d have to admit he has looked well short of Origin pace (though to be fair, while he was playing alright last year he certainly lifted).
Loyalty would come into play when looking at Matty Bowen though would it not?
