In a matter of anecdotal incidence, that defeats the purpose of consistency, chopping and changing the team. That is where Sterlo is coming from, how are you supposed to give a man game time and experience if you shunt him out of the team? Would you like to have Cooper Cronk for a few years or the future Cooper Cronk for many years to come?

Eels don't need Cronk: Sterlo

12:00 Sunday afternoon, choice of Melbourne City vs. Melbourne Victory or Manchester City vs. Manchester United. To a so called ‘outsider’ its Channel one or Robbie savage and Michael Owen. For a start where is your bloody pride. In my opinion, soccer is an integral part of the Australian sports circle. Union, league and AFL come and go and it opens up for Soccer, Cricket and Basketball . Seeing as cricket is not run weekly, the soccer provides that weekly fixture to sooth the sport thirst. Secondly soccer is not some rocket science that takes a ten year Uni degree to pick up. Whilst some English Soccer history is deep blooded and bloodthirsty and hard to pick up, 13 years is not so hard to pick up and for a simple formation structure to throw an ‘outsider’ out of the conversation is disgraceful. Australia must be rated amongst the worlds dumbest countries.

Football in Australia, only for the converted

Is that why you don’t understand it? You slam people for not caring about the NRL yet clearly try and find every problem that is in the NRL and generally make it look bad. Then you belittle every person who tries to take a positive out of our amazing game. Grow up

Hey coaches, the referees didn't cost you your season

Your criticism is unwanted

Hey coaches, the referees didn't cost you your season

I’m sorry did I give an opinion? How outrageous. An explanation followed up by a sound suggestion is not a direction and true, you can completely disagree with an article like this and fill your head with garbage. It’s a fair suggestion so why not advocate for this improvement?

Slamming referees is a scourge on rugby league

I could not have said this better myself, excellent, excellent. There is just one major problem with the page your article is on, and it has nothing to do with you article. I can’t believe that I look through the comments about the article they just read and see people still belittling referees and players and clubs and even turning on each other with such malice. To anyone who even thinks of doing any of these things I suggest you re-read the article, especially the last two lines.

Slamming referees is a scourge on rugby league

The fact the Roosters bombed multiple tries and gifted one to the Broncos is a testament to the team. Corey Oates dosent get that second and Cordner scores his second, Roosters are up 30-16 and its a rout. Roosters will make it if they can stay strong and finally fix their niggly errors.

Six talking points from Sydney Roosters vs Brisbane Broncos NRL qualifying final

I agree they need to do a better job. But two refs plus two touchies does not equal twenty six players. It is suggested that the bunker plays a bigger role in helping referee the game because they have a wider vision of the game.

Is it possible to have a controversy free finals series?

All the better if they win, giving them the underdog status

Melbourne Storm vs Parramatta Eels: The ultra definitive NRL qualifying final stats preview

Already proved, Nathan brown is a real dark horse in this contest. If he can get the measure of the Storm forwards and throw up some offloads, Eels are in with a big chance. Last few weeks have shown Storm are uneasy with second phase play. Should be a ripper either way.

Pretty sure players don’t get 400 touches in a game

Refs are the best

Penalise early and send to sin bin. And if it continues? send another? Suddenly people complain about the referees ruining the game for having too much control. Lose-Lose. Its been said before it will be said again the fans need an improved attitude or this league will fall apart.

Refs are the best

First the referees have to have eyes in the back of their head, second they must have a flying cam on every single player to make sure they don’t pick their nose during play. Next they need laser lines so any player that is inside the ten gets incinerated. They should also replace the refs with automated robots that can instantly make instant decisions based on their multiple choice program that runs on the ‘how to make the fans happy’ coding. Referees are human and cannot possibly keep track of all these things. All you can hope for is they do the best job they can do, and that should be good enough for you.

Ben Hunts a ripper, and while Dugan may be a loss, James Graham is another big buy. Might be old but he`s timeless like Gallen or Smith.

Dragons vow to stop signing coaches

I agree, hot tipped to finish last, Mary should be proud of his boys and more importantly the boys should be grateful for Mary. Another coach change will result in Dragons not winning for another ten years at least.

Dragons vow to stop signing coaches

What? Doesn’t Lord Cameron Smith hold most of the records including 356 games as ref?

Parramatta have the guts to back themselves

I would have loved to be in that league. Not only did the spectators give it to the refs, just about all the players did as well. It was so bad that they had to make it a rule that any stray comment at all resulted in an immediate 10 metres given, with no limit to how many they would give out. There are a whole crowd of amazing people who do the right thing every week and enjoy a great game of football, but I believe that there needs to be a better attitude needs to be integrated into those ref haters.

Refs are the best

Let bygones be bygones rather then dragging the dirt up on every club on the league. Who cares last year’s salary cap scandal, THIS year Parammattas deserving of their finals berth. Disgruntled wooden spoon fans should not always hate on successful teams. Except for when they are cheated and full of injuries and having financial troubles and coaching troubles and… you know what, never mind.

Why the NRL final has to be a fairytale

There is nothing better than to sit down with a book and relax while the cricket is on. No matter who is winning.

Australia vs South Africa: Third Test preview

Don’t Rule out the Australians. The new changes could go in Australia’s favour, but the South African team is too professional. Have you noticed that when one South African isn’t on his game, two others step up to take his load? Just look at J.P. Duminy, Dean Elgar and Rubada in the First test, and Quentin de Kock, Temba Bavuma and Kyle Abbot in the second test. What Australia really need are a well rounded team, who are consistent enough to survive more than a day batting.
