I'm a budding sports journalist, who is a die-hard cricket & Canterbury Bulldogs fan! I grew up admiring Tugga, Tubby, Punter, Baa and Pat Rafter. Passion trumps everything!

You’re certainly entitled to your opinion. I take you points on board, but I’ll elaborate on these topics.

If you refer back to yesterday’s article-The 23-year-old has been dubbed Australia’s next fast-bowling superstar and has been whispered by influential Aussie cricket figures to be in the reckoning for a Test debut against India this summer.

I’m merely giving my opinion that Hazelwood should open the bowling with Johnson.

I’m aware that Hazelwood hasn’t played a test. I’m stating that based on the short turnaround between both tests, it’s doubtful that Hazelwood will be able to back up. Also, referring yesterday’s article again-The only thing going against the Tamworth native is his injury record, and susceptibility to breaking down over five days.

Therefore, it’s highly unlikely Cricket Australia will risk playing him in back-to-back tests.

All I’m saying is that Australia will have to utilize a squad of pacemen during the test series and if you refer back to the paragraph on Bollinger, this justifies that he is next cab off the rank after Hazelwood, CN, Siddle and Starc.

I suggest that you write an article about some of your theories. I’d be interested in reading about them.

We certainly disagree on a few points, which makes things more fun and interesting. Thanks for your feedback.

Leading Shield quicks ready to knock over Sidds and Starc (Part 2)

Good pickup Cmac, sorry about that. You are totally correct. I’ll be sure to double-check next time.

Shield batsmen to watch in the race for Test spots

Regarding Forrest’s not out, this is a positive thing. This shows that he values his wicket and has the ability to bat with the tail, which has been lacking since Mike Hussey’s retirement. Haddin batted well with the tail against England last summer, but his form has fell away considerably in the last two series.

Even though the Matador cup favored batsmen, it’s still an achievement for Khawaja to standout and be the leading run-scorer. Somehow it seems like Khawaja still has something to offer in the test arena and it helps his cause that he’s in form.

Carters definitely had a great season with nearly 800 runs @ 56, but he isn’t even the 1st choice keeper for NSW. Carters needs to prove that he isn’t a ‘one season wonder’ and there are a handful of other keepers who have more experience and deserve the baggygreen more-Hartley, Wade, Nevill and Paine.

If Lynn didn’t injure his rotator cuff, he would be the next batsmen in-line for the test team. He won’t be back until half-way through the domestic season. Lynny certainly impressed in various formats last season and was rewarded by being picked for Australia A and the Aust T20 side, but has been placed down the queue and needs to prove himself again when he gets off the injured list.
