Yeah you’re absolutely right. There’s heaps of off ball stuff that makes a huge impact on the momentum of the game. Gleeson did it all tonight. Stand out.
I thought second half wasn’t bad to watch live to be honest. I’ve seen worse following the Tahs the last few years ????

'Huge for us': McReight stars but Waratahs snap losing run against Reds in Super win

We were sideline Chivas. Only half of us made it to fulltime though. Bucks and the weather up here got the best of us ???? I agree with you on Gleeson; he was easlily best on ground. Even his off ball work lifting Holloway who also had his best game in a while. Class from a guy coming back from injury. Has to be first picked for the Cup Eddie!

Congrats HJ, what a turnaround in 7 days! The icing on your trip down under. I was at the game tonight and can confirm the new stadium is excellent; the view from the concourse at the bar on level 4 makes you forget you paid for a seat. The Saffas were immense in contact from the whistle, especially around the ruck. Marx and Kitshoff were making post contact metres for fun in that first quarter and that set the tone. Kolisi more accurate too. Looked like a side that had had another week in country after travelling 5 time zones to play in a desert in the daytime after a couple of huge tests against the ABs.
Note to RA: test matches at 3pm in the Northern Territory? I’ll watch it from Allianz on the tv screens if the All Blacks eat the red dust!

REACTION: Boks turn salty tears into raging torrent of revenge, Marika smashed and humbled in TRC 'mugging'

Yeah good call. The Tahs look great with front foot quick ball. The best of the Oz teams IMO. Very much like a kiwi team in attack at times. Just need to make the tackles and get a bit smarter around the ruck. I think they’ll top the Oz super comp next year ????

Reds hold their nerve to break Australia's Super Rugby drought

Folau chose to post one excerpt from the Bible, but it wasn’t a quote, designed to be controversial. In the context of his previous “quotes”. He was defiant; whether or not he believes it as a part of his faith; this was an intentional act of defiance and division. I want to say I think something I know that a lot of people are sensitive about I think is wrong and should be condemned. I’ve said it before and people were hurt; but I know I’m right and I’ll be proven right when we’re all dead and dust. So I’m righteous in hurting these unenlightened people. I’m helping these people because they should feel guilty and I feel better for helping them realise that they are not living the way I believe we should… that is basically the prologue of Mein Kampf. I’ve read it. The rest is just Nietzchean Will to Power but it isn’t without (Hitler’s) justification.

Folau is ignorant of his responsibility in society

Mate, he’s contacted other players now and asked them to take a knee. But he’s not Colin Kaepernick. CK was standing (kneeling) against discrimination, not advocating his right to discriminate based on his own beliefs! If anything, they are fundamentally opposed. The Bible is full of scripture, this was an intentional act intended to divide! Jesus would be livid! Whatever your faith he was a revolutionary that was all about inclusiveness, nobody is elevated to judgment status. He was killed because he stood up to the establishment and said a good society recognises that hierarchy is artificial. We are all the same; humans lost but trying to find meaning in our lives. We either unite or revert to Darwinian progression each for their own! Sermon over ????

Australia decides: Who would vote for Izzy?

You say Potato – fiddlee-dee – the reality is we’re taking both to Japan because there is literally nobody else proven at 10 at this level in Oz. The word is that Cheiks wanted Coops playing super this year and was instrumental in his signing, this from a sponsor’s in-house Counsel. So yes, they’re both not future legends of the game but it’s the best cattle we’ve got no matter which side of the debate you sit on. No disrespect to Matt Toomua but he’s just not playing currently in front of the 3 blind mice and Check 1 2, Check, Check, is thing on?! will want to see his 4 year plan come to fruition with or without his Ritalin!

Rebels rule over Reds for vital victory

He’s not, not even with boots on. He’s 5’9.

Six talking points from Super Rugby Round 5

Glib comment from the comfort of the armchair. It presupposes that refs don’t form a mindset during a game from which their (human) judgments are made. Players will tell you that there are games where, on-field, you know when you’ve lost the ref.

Six talking points from Super Rugby Round 5

Agree TWAS. Very different to watch a game and be judging decision making on-field from a detached point-of-view. Particularly if you’ve ever played in the pack when the sense is the ref is against you!

Six talking points from Super Rugby Round 5

Agendas have been hurting the Wallabies since professionalism.

Six talking points from Super Rugby Round 5

Great call, Gloria et al. Isn’t funny how nobody is talking about the two or three impactful errors that Finn Russell had in the game against England?! Without his game, warts and all, Scotland don’t get close to England, let alone should’ve probably won!

Six talking points from Super Rugby Round 5

Great win by Wales. But what have we learned about a side that is in our pool at the WC? Well, for one, don’t kick to them. There were more box kicks and kicks in general play in the Wales v England match than I can remember in a rugby match. And Wales must’ve caught 90% of them and made the advantage line and then some. They couldn’t break the English D in tight. It was a truly great arm wrestle. But Wales were amazing under the high ball and they made all their gains from taking the endless box kicks from Youngs and taking advantage of the (small) window of opportunity when the Pom D lost its structure. They pretty much outplayed the Empire at their own game. So will Chieka coach his side accordingly? He seems reluctant to hatch a plan for what’s in front of him instead relying on past performance to get the job done. The fact that he’s gone no matter the result is a real concern. But, on the flip side, if it was me, and I was facing the Aussie public, what with their inherent superiority complex about sporting prowess and contradictory tall poppy syndrome, I would want to prove myself and escape the unavoidable criticism. So we’re supposed to have faith that he is willing to do whatever it takes. Time will tell I guess…

Five talking points from Round 3 of the Six Nations Championship

I agree with everything you say but explain why we needed to have a Sth African ref in a quarter final, even if it just looks bad?o

Everything else aside, you still have to call a spade a Sth African that can come over the top of a ruck at liberty without any body support except for the ref, a spade… why are we still allowing even the perception of bias with a home ref?! Is this lack of personnel or a deficiency in management?

So the Tahs have to travel? I’m still undecided whether that’s better than the Jaguares at home? Lions very opportunistic tonight, the middle was messy, which pretty much sums up the Waratahs season?! Poor in the mids, Lions by plenty at altitude… but muscle up and this team leaks plenty of points! Latu has to start; if Marks is out, that’s worth about 10 points…!

Look we all grew up in an era without TMO and playing to the whistle. So Ireland won because they were in that position and that’s fair with me. That said, if you slow down the footage on the goalpost to goalpost angle I got on my OS streaming the ball clearly takes a deflection off Stockdale’s fingertips (and I think someone on YouTube has beaten me to it). Who knows if it would’ve been a try – I promise you if every movement in every game was definitively adjudicated we would be looking elsewhere for our entertainment. At the end of the day I enjoyed the series and thought the Wallabies demonstrated massive improvement in terms of effort and intent and I have to say I’m okay that we lost when I can see how much it meant. As a fan of the game and a worried onlooker regarding its future in our proud sporting culture, I’m pleasantly optimistic about the upcoming Rugby Championship. For the first time in a while this team has belief that you can buy into as a supporter. That 3 inches between the ears cannot be understated in this modern era of elite sportsmen and sportswomen when literally every calorie, heartbeat and thought is measured and analysed. Bravo Ireland, well played, but I believe we’re building and I’m proud of the effort of our lads. Go Wallabies!

Mean green: Ireland snatch third Test, series win from Wallabies

Question: Do the Aussie teams need improving in all areas? Answer: yes. Question: did the Tahs scrum do better than expected? Answer: yes. Question:
