I remembered reading this article after the Hawks put down the Sixers and went to track it down after they beat the Bucks in game one. I largely agreed with it when I first read it, but it hasn’t aged well 😂

Trae Young was not snubbed

Sadly no, Canberra Day is Monday the 9th, otherwise it would have been a handy start to the long weekend.

Brumbies and Sunwolves to feature in historic double-header after coronavirus cancellation

I have found watching the game on a 30 min delay on the Kayo app is quite time efficient for that reason, and it’s still basically live so the end won’t get spoiled.

The Wrap: The Sunwolves and Super Rugby’s shame file

I find it interesting that the talk about South Africa’s involvement always comes back to money and how we need it for Rugby to survive in Australia. Australia’s GDP is close to three times NZ and SA combined. What this says to me is that RA and the Rugby community has completely abandoned the possibility of growth for the game in Australia.

I personally endorse SA being in Super Rugby because that’s what made it the greatest provincial sporting competition in the world, but you know it’s entirely possible that the competition might have more value to the Australian sports viewing public if one third of the games weren’t in an inaccessible timezone. Also FTA coverage couldn’t hurt.

The Wrap: The Sunwolves and Super Rugby’s shame file

Have to agree that Sezer was pedestrian throughout the finals ball in hand. His kicking game was good though. Whighton needs to work on not drifting so much when attacking the line. It leaves the centre too little space once he’s received the pass. That being said, he had an amazing first year playing 6, almost Daley reborn.
If we could meld the attack from the 2016 Raiders with the defence and grit of 2019 we’d have the perfect team.

Six talking points from the NRL grand final 2019

That was freaking awesome. So, Brums to finish last in the conference? 🙁

Sunwolves vs Stormers: Super Rugby live scores

Such poor tactics. It was obvious the Japanese knew the Roos would be robotically trying to play out from the back no matter what so they just pressed until the turnover occurred. So painful to watch.

Socceroos sunk! Japan jump Australia 2-0

Ending up with seven losing BPs also shows that they were competitive in almost every match this season, notably taking right up to the Lions and Crusaders. It was that loss of big game experience that prevented them from taking a few more of those games.

Also, surely seven losing BPs in a season must be some sort of record right?

Canberra remains a key cog in Australian rugby

Hopefully he’ll at least keep this backline for the rest of the season, it’s finally starting to come together.

I myself am a little disappointed they won the last two games. Two more losing BPs would have been a Super Rugby season record surely.

Brumbies with one hand on the Scott Fava Cup

Another losing BP, mission accomplished!

Can we please have Toua put on the wing where they can use his strengths and mitigate his weaknesses?

Brumbies vs Lions: Super Rugby live scores, blog

Agreed; Reds improved their playing personnel considerably in the off season, but the coaching staff, not so much. This is the problem with all of Australia’s Super teams this year I reckon.

Brumbies lost a huge amount of experience from last year, but the experienced players that remained have really stepped up, particularly Henry and Tevita.

Brumbies vs Reds highlights: Brumbies produce second half masterclass

I hope Maxi goes on with it. How long has it been since we’ve had a century from an Australian No. 6?

India vs Australia highlights: Third Test, cricket live scores, blog – Day 1

I would love to see Fiji get their first ever Olympic gold.

Men's rugby sevens results, Day 2: Australia, NZ knocked out in quarters

I think you might be forgetting that Clarke won the toss at Edgbaston and elected to bat in those conditions.

The Ashes: Australia finally show batting patience

Yeah, I would bat him at 3 at the Oval. He’s always good for a century in a dead rubber match.

His style of batting and lack of footwork meant he was always going to fail as a lower order batsman.

Australia's selection nightmare was always going to happen

Dizzy is still available. His forward defence was rock solid.

What a disaster: There goes the Ashes!

One day test?

I think 140 is a bit optimistic at this point. 🙁

1 – 88
2 – Mitch Johnson
3 – England will probably be 300 at stumps just to rub it in. What minefield they will say?
