Not really. The Australian Fijian Wallabies are guilty of that title.

At least France provide opportunities for Tier Two players to make a living out of professional rugby (Look at Georgia, Spain and Romania).

France, not South Africa, to host 2023 World Cup after secret ballot

The fly in and fly out during this whole qualifying campaign will always be a difficult task for Australian football squads to play their best football.

Thank you Captain Obvious. This could best said for every other nation at the World Cup.

Jedinak leads Socceroos to Russia

It’s okay, Nemesis is mentally ill. She just needs her medications.

History suggests Socceroos fans set for nervy night

Matty. Be quiet. Never write such embarrassing stuff. You are an absolute pudding.

You have chocolate pudding instead of brain inside that big head of yours Fred.

A true hybrid: One rugby code to rule them all

Classic Freddy logic. Not the smartest cookie.

Most memorable moment of the match:

the stunningly attractive Honduras fan hanging out with the Socceroos bloke at the away end.

Socceroos beat Honduras, qualify for 2018 FIFA World Cup

Be quiet the both of you.

I don’t doubt they played to dececent crowds of British/Australasian expat crowds in medium sized stadiums in Hong Kong and Singapore.

There were plenty of locals in attendance at both games, having attended the Hong Kong fixture myself. The test matches in Tokyo and Buenos Aires excess of 95% locals as well.

“Well done for attracting a big crowd to see the US team get flogged. Though I doubt that will win over many new fans in the US.”

The US team getting “flogged” hasn’t done any harm whatsoever on rapidly growing playing numbers in the US especially in high school and colleges nationwide, no harm on the US team’s crowds this year and no harm in developing a professional league next season.

Manchester United is a global brand. The All Blacks are not.

The All Blacks are now worth more than $200 million US dollars.

The highly prestigious Laureus World Sports Award for Team of the Year in 2016 was awarded to the All Blacks, with five nominations in the previous ten years. Previous winners including similar global brands such as Manchester United, Bayern Munich and FC Barcelona.

Time and time again you prove yourself a loose moose/goose.

Our road to Russia is no more difficult than any other nation's

FIFA has a ranking system & it pays attention to it.

wow

Our road to Russia is no more difficult than any other nation's

All Blacks have packed out stadiums in Hong Kong, Buenos Aires (Argentina), Milan (Italy), Marseilles (France), Tokyo (Japan) and Chicago (US). Heck, the New Zealand Maori even sold out Vancouver two weeks ago.

I mean, there must be a reason one of the biggest multinational insurance corporations are backing the team as the main sponsors.

The All Blacks brand is worth more than US$200 million this year.

A true hybrid: One rugby code to rule them all

Disgusting decision if true.

South Africa set to be awarded 2023 Rugby World Cup

All Blacks and Wallabies already play November test matches in front of sell out crowds of greater than 60 000 in Cardiff, Edinburgh, Dublin, Paris, London and Rome. Heck, even Japan played Wales in Cardiff with 70 000 in attendance, league needs this more than Union by jumping on the All Blacks global brand.

“The rankings are used to determine the World Cup draw. Our inflated ranking will decide the strength of opposition we have to face.”

Yawn, no matter how much you know and analyze international football there are so many variables that could occur between the World Cup draw in December and the actual event next year in Russia.

Injuries to key players, player losing form at club level due to managerial changes… the list goes on. These rankings mean nothing come the World Cup.

Our road to Russia is no more difficult than any other nation's

Raise your hands if you’ve watched Germany play rugby?

Absolutely brilliant response showing the little brain power you have. Poor Stu hasn’t left his comfortable blue collar suburbs of Sydney.

Over 110 Rugby Union clubs and 12 000 domestic players in Germany. Munich just recently hosted a very successful Oktobefest Sevens.

Their national team attracts crowds just under 10 000 for their World Cup qualifiers. Majority of the players are born and bred Germans and play their domestic Rugby in Germany.

Rebrand the Rugby League World Cup – and ditch the Kangaroos

Very mature response Nemesis.

No respectable football analyst completely believe in the rankings, they never tell the complete story. Ever.

Just because country A is ranked higher than country B on the FIFA rankings from another continent, it means absolutely nothing come the World Cup.

Wales and other UEFA nations manipulated the system to boost their rankings by refusing to play certain fixtures and picking their opponents wisely. As overall the AFC nations are ranked very low comparative to other nations outside of Asia the WCQ provide very little increase in FIFA rankings.

That is why a country like Peru, who played quite poorly in Wellington last week in their intercontinental play off against New Zealand, are ranked just outside the top 10.

Our road to Russia is no more difficult than any other nation's

Australia would be on par with the likes of Switzerland, Austria, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Turkey.

Israel and Macedonia are the minnows of Europe.

Disaster for Italy as Azzurri knocked out of World Cup before it begins

“It’s just a way of grabbing publicity.”

Exactly. Some pathetic sports promoter, bored in the off season, decides to promote a story that (according to the NZRU) was discussed over 12 months ago. This hybrid game is for those “boxing” fanboys who believed Mayweather vs McGregor would be a superior fight to Alvarez vs Golovkin.

Rebrand the Rugby League World Cup – and ditch the Kangaroos

Truly embarrassing stuff. Well done.

Tim Cahill must play against Honduras, end of discussion

1. Scrap Super Rugby.

2. NRC becomes the top tier domestic Rugby competition in Australia.

3. Employ full time someone tech savvy to promote Rugby’s active presence on social media, actually make an effort to promote the competition and the sport to the public.

4. YouTube/online streaming is the future of sports, whatever football code.

Brilliant final befitting the best NRC season to date

I mean, you’re completely free to believe the words of this so-called “mob”.

NZRU chief executive Steve Tew:

“We get asked to consider a large number of proposals regularly, and in this case, we were approached over a year ago about the possibility of a hybrid game,” Tew said. “Other than that initial conversation, there have been no other discussions and this is definitely not something we are pursuing.”

All Blacks would not tarnish their global brand playing some gimicky hybrid game.
