25 million? Living in some sort of bubble.

Albanese asked to intervene as former Dees doctor drops bombshell over players dodging drug tests

They have some of the best players in the world, just their defence poor.

Get off the Socceroos' backs! One training session, a win against Lebanon and still people fail to understand Asian football

I don’t disagree re comments on England, but probably the wrong time to have a go at them, semis & 1/4s at last 2 WCs & runners up in last Euros.
Much better than Italy, Spain, Germany among the big teams of Europe.

I’m all in agreeance with Arnie’s playing style, it’s woeful, but apart from playing style, the other KPI is results.
Another one you have complained about has been Southgate from England & again playing style not great, but both Arnie & Southgate are getting results, England pre Southgate were terrible, since Southgate world cup semi finalist & Euros Finalist.
Likewise with Arnie best result in the WC & while losing 1/4s in Asian cup it was to Sth Korea & it was only in the last minute & no fault of the coach there.

Like I said I don’t like the playing style, even at SFC when he won everything, he was still very conservative.
However, both you & Waz have to understand he is our national coach, he can only play with the cattle he has, get behind him.

While no doubt Radulovic would have Socceroos playing better, doubt he would’ve got them to 2nd round of the WC.

For the Purist, playing style important.
For the general Public, it’s the results.

Arnold not known for brave decisions. Maybe outside of Redmayne change

Yep, how I see it as well.
Arnold has done the job, he is very limited, especially in his playing style & his lack of plan B, but he has instill the love for laying for the Socceroos & brought in some good young players, he’s not played them yet, but given them the taste.

Post got lost about 2 young Aussies, Treffiletti & MIllwood, both 15 years old playing O/S;

They’re all mostly over in Europe getting minutes at big clubs. Treffiletti playing for Serie A Monza U17’s and Italy U16’s and listed one of the best midfielders in Italy and I’ve seen him play many times and watched highlights and he is very good, excellent goalscoring ability, passing, dribbling etc. Millwood plays for Partizan Belgrade in Serbia and is hailed as the Serbian golden child and will be a star in the future and was also hailed as the Australian golden child back when he lived here. Still super young (2009 born) but his ability on the ball is in the top percentiles in the world. Scouted by Barcelona and Real Madrid with Partizan youth scouts comparing him to Lionel Messi. Currently playing for Serbian U15’s as well. I’ve watched limited game of him but seen a bit from his u15 level and he is next level. Both players that we can’t miss out on and need to be scouted for this upcoming team.

From 442 website about some Aussies aged 15 years old.

Get it right A-League is a competition not a sport.
Football is a sport & it’s massive in Sydney.

Football in Australia must never stop fighting for its fair share of funding

The MCG was built for the 1956 Olympic games & for cricket.
You can’t deny they do make a lot of crap up like the playing participants to get the Giant stadium built.
The old SMH sports writer Roy Masters was fuming about that.

Quoting jacinta Price, now that is on dangerous territory!!!!

Have they though?

You know the Melbourne media also told us that AFL introduced professional sport to China & invented women’s team sports!!!!

Football in Australia must never stop fighting for its fair share of funding

Such a simple way of thinking about this.
Swimming wins more gold medals at the Olympics then any other sport, so while swimming is popular when you win gold medals, when should we care about funding anything below this?

Not real smart mate.

Yes I remember the Socceroos losing to Scotland in 1983 & the interest there. Football at national level has even gone to another level.

Buddy, if you comparing NRL & AFL to A-League, it’s no contest, no one on here would argue that the A-League is struggling, I used to attend with about 25 friends, we are down to 3-4 now. Many many issues where I won’t go into here.

Brett was talking Soccer (or as I prefer to call it Football) against these sports is a very different kettle of fish.
Our participant numbers are far greater than both those other sports put together & our representative National teams are also far greater than both those 2 sport put together.
You now also have the O/S teams that many football fans follow.
So in terms of A-League to AFL & NRL no competition, in terms of Football v NRL (Rugby League) or AFL (Australian Rules Football), there is strong competition.
Sam Kerr is a bigger national sports star than either AFL or NRL have!!!!

Yes the same soccer that got hundred of thousands of people getting up all hours of the morning into fan sites all around the country to watch the Socceroos get to the 2nd round of the World cup in comparison to the 20 people who got up in their lounge suites in their homes in Sydney & Brisbane.

The Women’s soccer that had TV audiences in a country that doesn’t like soccer or women’s sport smashes TV ratings of any SOO matches in the only country that really follows the sport.

He’d play Mauk as AM!!!!!

Baccus, Rowles net first goals as Socceroos cruise past Lebanon but Arnie sweats on injuries

I was there last night & Parramatta is a great football stadium, the pitch not so much.

It was tradesman like, very Arnie like, we need more class.
Now I was watching Yengi & at times he looked great other times poor tocuhes & I kept thinking how good would Irankunda will do in 1 or 2 years, he would kill these teams.
Garang Kuol has not become a poor player, Volpato, Robertson, Neiwenoff would improve the midfield together with Hrustic, Irvine & McGree.
Bos needs to play left back especially against these lesser teams to help improve his defence, his attack outstanding.
We need a new right back.
Arnie great against better team, lack of ideas against weaker teams.

Alan Border field, ???? He is a Mosman boy, you stole him from NSW.

'We are homeless': 'Frustrated' Arnie's plea as Socceroos train for crunch WC qualifier on rugby league fields

For once you got it right ‘Cross-Country Volleyball’.

'Would be a tragedy': Can the Jets find a new owner, or are they about to spiral out of the A-League?

Unfortunately, I was one of those happy clappers who thought, so many sh!t shows, surely they get it by now & I kept giving them a chance.
However, I do agree the administrators are clueless & have been for 50 years of following this great game in this country.

I was at the Sydney Derby & the fans, the passion, the tribalism was all there, this was the APL’s golden egg, but this is where I disagree with you that it’s too Sydney/Melbourne centric, because I like I said this was their golden egg, the Sydney Derby & the APL did nothing to help the fans.

'Would be a tragedy': Can the Jets find a new owner, or are they about to spiral out of the A-League?

Yes I like Matthews as well, very composed for one so young.
Matthews, Hollman, Girdwood-Reich & JCP are the difference between Talay & Corica.

Victory bounce back in Original Rivalry, Mariners nab top spot, can Rudan turn it around?
