Oh I dont know mate….. Maybe its the fact that Ratima is 23 now so 22 last year ( 7 caps SR going into 23 season ) and Webber, a test player with 110+ SR matches experience going into 23 season.

Dmac was exceptional last weekend in a game they lost. You seem to believe a player is only any good if their team wins. Hows A Smiths record at SR level? Hows his record at test level? Use your noggin for a change instead of just going straight to ” NZ is going downhill” or “SR is weak”

Piri Weepu. 73 tests Debut 22, A Smith. 124 tests Debut 24, TJ Perenara, 80 tests Debut 23.
Before then they showed promise. Very few younger players are test stars before they are 22-24.
If the UK does things different who cares. Look at WC results to see who gets it right and who gets it wrong. Only one of the 9s you mention played semi final rugby. The others dropped out at 1/4 finals.
I dont see Christy as test quality for an ABs side but at least he has played in a WC final. No Irish 9 ever has.

Please….. TJ is the number 1 choice because Roigard is out for the SR season. He cannot be selected as he is unavailable.
Yes RM would be no 1 choice because he has Razor as his fanboy and Razor is the coach. Sadly when does anyone else get a go? When does enough crap results prove its time to change? Dmac deserves a shot and if he is ignored then he will be off OS earning massive coin and proving yet again he is a test quailty world class 10.
If Razor cant see it we are in for 4 years of garbage and nothing but Razor whinging about not being able to select from OS. Whinge on Razor it aint happening and a guy like Mounga, who has no loyalty, can become nothing but a 2 times losing 10 at WCs.

Christy , to me, isnt test quality. Roigard is built for test rugby. I believe Ratima will be good at test level but happy to wait and see lol. Fakatava has been ok this year but in a beaten team. Same with Hotham I guess.
A hooker that is really putting his hand up this year is Aumua. Very high quality game from him last weekend. Also Im liking the Canes prop too Cant think of his name atm

Agree! those 3 are some rugby royalty and add to any team. I believe they play too many games in the UK. Games dont mean as much. Lose this week and so what we will win next week!

Yes I believe they are talking the whole shebang of playing SR sides when in NZ and the SA sides currently in the UK comps. It will be great to see that sort of thing again.

Spot on. Its becoming a strong comp player wise. They are retired stars mainly and many still play a great level of rugby.

Im not mistaken CPM. I can only go on results not some “we have 17 losing 1/4 finalists” in our team.
SR has dominated world rugby results for its whole existance. No other comp can claim anything even close.

We have 5 SR teams. Id love to know who these 10 halfbacks were that were coming thru 15 years ago. I think your memory is playing tricks as we have basically had Smith and TJ for the past 10 years anyway. Smith joined Weepu 5 years before that.

No Ratima was always selected above Roigard at age level. Roigard had a massive advantage when TJ got injured as he was given starting time. Ratima has that now that with Webber gone.
