oh yeah and btw breda got relegated and psv (behich and stsburys club) are champions league regulars..so the standards might not be the same? (sarcasm) 😛
The three men who could replace Jason Davidson at the Glory
i realise that its only 1 example, but jamie vardy played non league footie at 25. Hell, he played league 1 at 27. Football isnt just about signing the biggest name from the largest possible club

nah i dont rly think so tbh. Baumjohann is fantastic, better than ninko even. hes a match for castro and hes younger, too. Just played in a crap wsw team last season thats all. Even messi would have struggled in that team last year, it was so terrrble lol

cameron devlin is one thats slipping through the cracks. didnt he get released by sydney?
The A-League merry-go-round is in full swing
Btw, theres a rumour floating around that castro could leave for phoenix, and baumjohann will join as a replacement. (heard it from my friend so dont know how true it is). Would you think itll be a good thing though, if it happens?

Jordan off topic do uk why a former la liga striker is playing in npl at 30? Alex sanchez i mean
The A-League merry-go-round is in full swing
Hi staurt, kind of off topic but your angle about unrealised potential got me thinking of alex sanchez of sydney olympic..How does a former la liga striker end up in the npl at 30 years of age? 😛

U must be joking. The mass loan churn of epl clubs are anything but progression. Look at chelskis youth for an example. Other clubs dont do it to such an extent but its the same principle

The problem with de silva is that he plays like a futsal/small court player. Watch him in the acl group stages for sydney. Technique aplenty but a total lack of vision/ team play/positioning. Essentially, hell be good if football was a one man sport. crap in a team dou

The recycling of players is a great thing imho (not trolling :P) always prefer it when clubs sign up a former a league player than someone with no a league experience whatsoever

not up to scratch by whose definition? radamael falcao was rubbish at united, does that make him a bad player overnight? the guy’s still in the copa squad for colombia as we speak. Lots of things affect a players performance, including coaches tactics and playstyle. A season of subpar performance does not translate to the player being a lousy one.
The A-League merry-go-round is in full swing
Theres nothing wrong with this recycling, lots of top league have it as well. How many epl clubs have the likes of glenn murray and mo diame played for? its not an a league issue, although we do have it more. it says nothing abt the leagues quality

Didnt valeri retire? Hes started that hes only playing npl football now, combined with a backroom role at victory

isnt the deal already confirmed?
The three men who could replace Jason Davidson at the Glory
if gersbach returns, id expect him to stay for 1 season and get sold on, just like davidson. we could geta release clause in his contract too.
The three men who could replace Jason Davidson at the Glory
perth has a good squad but its too old. Id love to see them move djulbic, keogh, and chianese on, in that order of priority. Esp, he should drop to npl level
