Why Perth Glory was right to sell Jason Davidson
Agreed. As mike said last week, she can say whatever she damn well wants. We complain about bland robotic media interviews where players repeat the same meaningless tropes, yet rise up in outrage when kerr starts showing some personality. Smh
Women's sport needs personalities like Sam Kerr
you make a fair point, mark, but i dont think that a league players are disadvanteged due to their lack of marketability. Very few players outside the top tier, such as neymar( a prick but a big social media presence), ronaldo and messi have that kind of draw. Look at jefferson savarino from the mls, whose being chased by west ham for 6 mil or thereabouts. Hes a virtual unknown outside of us football circles, yet costs 6 times as much as the avg a league transfer. Is he really 6 times better than, for instance, iknomomidis? (They play in similar roles)
Why Perth Glory was right to sell Jason Davidson
Market values and wages are reactive in nature. By this logic, there would be no bargains in the trasnfermarkt. It would be an easy task. Look at MValue, buy player. Unfortunately its more complicated then that, thus the terms over and underpaying. Also pls dont insult those whose opnions you dont agree woth yeah nemesis? U were a little harsh on mark there:)
Why Perth Glory was right to sell Jason Davidson
Jets didnt lose because they sold nabbout. They lost because of ernie merrck changing the playstyle in the 2nd season
Why Perth Glory was right to sell Jason Davidson
For sure. As a measure of the a leagues quality, a top a league keeper (danny vukovic a couple of seasons back) could work his way into a championship winning european team and pick up the fans player of the yr award to go along. The a league has aome seriously good players thatre massively underrated
Why Perth Glory was right to sell Jason Davidson
I know, but didnt berisha have 1 more yr to go when he left for sanfreece?
Why Perth Glory was right to sell Jason Davidson
By the way, did berisha leave on a free last season? Some say there was a 1.3 mil fee but others say it was a free?
Why Perth Glory was right to sell Jason Davidson
Honestly, devlin of sydney fc and nisbet from central coast have technique to match isaias’s. Theyre young/underrated but no one gave arzani a chance before he came onto the scene with melbourne last season.
Why Perth Glory was right to sell Jason Davidson
Thats good though, at least only krishna left on a free
Why Perth Glory was right to sell Jason Davidson
Yep for sure. Why is it that a league players are so undervalued? Adrian and bobo from last season would have cost upwards of 5 mil in the english championship. Hell, even nabbout would probably have been worth a couple of mil instead of the 500k we got from urawa
Why Perth Glory was right to sell Jason Davidson
True. Nabbout had a simililar clause iirc. It sucks dou, a league players are better than the figures suggest. 1 mil is upper league 1/ lower championship quality. Hell, boro signed brithwaite for 15 mil and didnt even make the playoffs
Why Perth Glory was right to sell Jason Davidson
Not sure but judging from the fact that he his contract wasnt running out/perth had no ned to sell it should be around 1 mil or so (my guess)
Why Perth Glory was right to sell Jason Davidson
Adelaide dont need to recruit…nathan konstandopulous can step up
A way-too-early look at the 2019/20 A-League
Really good prose but kinda overblown at times imo
It's time the FFA reconsidered its 'metrics'
Mentioned that in the article. Maybe read before commenting?
The Roar should aim high to replace Aloisi
Epl players should always be a step up from the a league. Would rather have tomi juric back though if thats the kind of striker we need, costs less in wages and is more versatile
Three A-Leaguers way too good for their clubs
Noo isaias and petratos shouldve been in
'Tis the season for giving, and the Socceroos' Asian Cup squad is giving us hope
new england jets? sounds a little like the revolution in mls
Why the Newcastle Jets should change their name to New England FC
aw com eon. hes stated himself that hes not happy at nac. Also, as i pointed out in the article, ikinomidis and now singh is proof that moving to australia isnt the career graveyard many make it out to be. plus, glory are reigning champs that are playing acl football next season, which is a relatively high level. Popovic also has a reputation of imprving the players he works with. Why the hate mate haha 😛
The three men who could replace Jason Davidson at the Glory
