By all means, White should play on for as long as he likes and wherever he can pick up a game, it just needs to not be at the Wallabies , it’ll not be to their benefit.

Care factor: How England veteran and Broncos star are fuelling Nic White's 2027 World Cup ambitions

Good luck to everyone’s teams, lets hope for a tough and well fought season with some good Code being played,
Go the ‘Canes!

Bollocks to the doom merchants - Super Rugby 2024 offers Australian rugby its most glorious opportunity

I heard an interview a couple of weeks back with the NZC boss, they get $1mil from broadcasters for a 5 day test match, and $2mil for a T20 international , they turned down playing a 3rd test against Aus a few years back because putting on T20’s would make them extra money and the test would lose them money, they simply cant afford to keep playing tests.

What does the ICC want cricket to look like? It can't be what South Africa sent to New Zealand...

He’s not a Kiwi., he’s a naturalised Australian, just worked in NZ for a while.

Well that just shouts out at my abilities to notice things !

'Destroyed the soul of rugby': Ex-NZR boss delivers damning verdict of Super direction - and his plan to fix it

That’s great stats, but it’s not translating into the Rebels being sustainable, I agree RA would be mad to give it up, I think the Rebels should be there, it’s just that the majority of Victorians don’t think that, they don’t go and support them , and that’s what they need.

Poaching NZ coaches won't solve the Wallabies' woes - the real solution is a lot less sexy

Hard to say about great strides being made in Vic if the Rebels have gone down pretty much due to no one going to the games, Victoria has 1.5million more people than NZ, 10-15000 can’t regularly go to a game in a one team state?

Poaching NZ coaches won't solve the Wallabies' woes - the real solution is a lot less sexy

I don’t mid the Bazball thing , to be fair it has turned England’s record around recently so can’t be a bad thing for them, whatever floats their boat i guess.
On another matter, I just stumbled across that Aus and NZ are playing T20 international today…who knew!?, I knew a test series was on over there as I’m going to the Christchurch one, maybe that speaks more about my own abilities to notice things, or T20 is irrelevant.

I really hope they have a great season, their forward pack last season really started to knuckle down and show some good fight, and you can’t win without good forwards.
I wish them every success , except against the ‘Canes.

Cast off the underdog tag! Fijian Drua set to become one of Super Rugby’s most dangerous sides

It’s Rugby League, you can be a proud anything if it gets you a game..

NRL News: Field goal rules changed, Sticky fires up over 'inconsistency' in All Stars ban, Wigan prop out of Panthers duel

I enjoy these articles, always full of good debate, how though is Lomax ‘Australian born’ in his description, yet De-Groot isn’t? or Lolesio, Salakaia-Loto, and Foketi aren’t ‘New Zealand born’ in theirs?.

Super Rugby’s Top 50 players in 2024, 50-41: All Black legend returns and a new pairing begins in the West

Maybe Stuart could coach his players in how to tackle correctly and take the Judiciary out of the equation in the first place?, then Kris would be free for all games he may or may not be selected in.

NRL News: Field goal rules changed, Sticky fires up over 'inconsistency' in All Stars ban, Wigan prop out of Panthers duel

This is one of those times when reading the English press is great fun…The Guardian a few days back was gushing over Duckett, the team in general, the afterburners were about to be lit…then Whump…complete collapse, 2nd worst defeat ever…whinging about umpires decisions & technology for the 2nd test in a row, ‘cos that’s much easier than pointing out fellow players dumb cricket shots etc..
It’s just so much fun.

'Take away umpire's call': Stokes bleats about DRS after India thrash appalling England by record margin

Things I agree with jones on, ‘idiots parading as journalists’, 100% in that one,
And hardness of Australian rugby players, maybe he was singling Slipper out, warrior of a player that he is, do you reckon any opposition players look at Slipper and think they’ll be in for a rough day?, I can’t remember a player in the last 20 years that is a hard nut like Botha, Johnson, whatever that French caveman’s name was, Jerry Collins, or 100’s of others.
Australia just dosent produce hard players, very good ones yes, hardened ones, no.

'Never heard more crap in my life': Haddin hits back at Atherton's claim Stokes intimidated Aussies in '13 Ashes

Is there a pre season championship?

Rugby News: 'Weird period' - Tahs' devastating Eddie treatment revealed, kids' tackling is 'child abuse' claim

That’s apples and oranges , yes, you’d think Melbourne could support a semi pro team of course, but they’ve done nothing to support a fully professional one.

'It's pretty real': Rebels coach reveals trauma as Waugh makes surprising 'no correlation' claim after job losses

I’ve has some personal interaction with Haddin some years ago just after he retired….he is thoroughly unlikable.

'Never heard more crap in my life': Haddin hits back at Atherton's claim Stokes intimidated Aussies in '13 Ashes

Isn’t Melbourne not supporting the Rebels exactly how they have ended up like this?…the Melbourne and wider Victorian community has simply ignored them.

'It's pretty real': Rebels coach reveals trauma as Waugh makes surprising 'no correlation' claim after job losses

From a business owners perspective i find the non payment of super to be abhorrent, how they have been able to get away with that is disgusting, Its the kind of thing people should be going to jail for.

CONFIRMED: Rebels CEO made redundant and coaches have contract cuts as hopes of Super Rugby survival fade

Amen..

CONFIRMED: Rebels CEO made redundant and coaches have contract cuts as hopes of Super Rugby survival fade

A waste of the Directors money, yes.

CONFIRMED: Rebels CEO made redundant and coaches have contract cuts as hopes of Super Rugby survival fade

As far as I know, it’s debt owed to the Directors as they put money in to keep it afloat, not at all uncommon.

That’s not my narrative though, more one of RA being above these franchises so should be well across their accounting practices.
RA are not the ones who have run the Rebels into this, but surely they should have it telegraphed to them what’s happening and have a plan in place for what ifs..
