Yes, they’ve been waiting, planning and conniving all year to do this.

COMMENT: Lachie Neale's baffling win proves it's time to take Brownlow voting off the umps

History won’t look back the way it can be crystallized right now. There is at least 40 to 50 exceptional players in the competition. Dissecting is futile, lets not be too judgemental, about the result.

COMMENT: Lachie Neale's baffling win proves it's time to take Brownlow voting off the umps

In the last quarter the umpires clearly deserted their roll, to pay free kicks. When on any scintilla of logic, they were play to see. FAIL.

Finals Fix: The Pies were down and out in the prelim. How they turned it around is the stuff of greatness

Mihocef was clearly driving forward with legs. That’s playing for a free.

Yes I remember that. The brawl went Soo long, the pubs were closed by the time they got to them.

'Wanted to hit, wanted to hurt': Brayden Maynard - the guilty man found innocent

So in .15 of a second , Maynard dropped his arms twisted his shoulder, lowered his head. From the pike position. Maynard was cleared Becuase of farcical assertions.
A death Adder can strike in .15 of second. go watch it…. In slow motion.

'Wanted to hit, wanted to hurt': Brayden Maynard - the guilty man found innocent

The law of averages would say, when a player off the ground is smothering a ball. That’s in line, or close to in-line, to the opposing kicker. The chance of a major collision would be around 1 in 5.

That said a rule to help going forward could be: A player must take extra care not connect with a player whilst attempting a block/smother.

COMMENT: The Tribunal are right - Brayden Maynard's act wasn't illegal... but from now on, it should be

A rather angst written article. Sometimes we get fixed views and never waver.
But on balance this case on what you see, is maybe for some a very fine line. But what we have is a player attacking the ball as he is expected. Then a collision occurs, that on any basic viewing shows no malice, but Maynard in more a benign position.
I expected the charges the case to be thrown out at the first hurdle.
This an accidental incident; nothing more.

Great work T.

Melbourne Cup 2018: Preview and top tips

Solid tempo for the Derby this year.
Thinkn Big will be up on pace, but so will a few others, he’s not likely to get it all his way. $4.00 rating at best
Aramayo is ticking nicely, looks to get good nice run here, but pace here, could provide many chances.$8.00 rating
Stars of Carrum, wound up from fence run off good speed, dist not a worry, should race with cover. $8 rating.
Mikey Blue Eyes looks to receive the softest of runs, can finish over them. $13 rating.
Tolemac, ok long shot here, worth a small ticket, as should be running on.

Good luck punters

Previewing the weekend of racing: Your best bets for Derby Day

Humidor is well seasoned now, Bowman won’t take him to lightly. The 15s is tempting enough to have a small ticket.
Even Benbatl has shown he’s no slouch. That was not your average edition of the Caufield stakes. They knocked out good sectionals from go to woe. $7 rating for mine.
The punt is all about who dares wins…or loses ????

Awaiting another chapter in Australia's greatest race

Excellent work Cam.
Good speed Manikato.
Kementari: His credentials, refer to Pierata. Sits back off a very good speed, looks eachway all day. $4.50 rating.
Invincable Star: likley to have sit behind solid tempo, big value chance for mine.
Good luck Punters.

Moonee Valley Group 1 Previews: Cox Plate and Manikato Stakes

Feels like a thin Caufield Cup this year Cam. Looks only to have pace in the midrange, that could favour forward runners.

Ace High: Has hit form and looks for nice run here, looks a fair chance if gets the gaps opening. $12 rating

Holmesmen: looks to receive the soft lead, or just race with cover. Should be tip top after the brutal C Stakes last week, and as you said Cam that could sharpen him up and back to hcp. He goes into everything for mine $8.50 rating

Kings will Dream: The Turnball ride by Williams was poor, the fence was not as quick as wider lanes. On turning he should’ve got off fence and likely would’ve clinched second behind Winx. Weighted to win. $5.50 rating.

Youngstar: Nice weight, if she can repeat her Turnball run, she’s well in mix. $7.00 rating for mine.

Race 9 Mares, good speed, who’s turn is it this Mares race?

Bella Martini is my value chance here, in her previous race I’d rated her a $4.25 fav. Well did I get that wrong. Day long her price eased from $6 out to around 12s. She raced wide and tired over 4 lengths from winner.
At least tommorow she’s drawn for a better run, and the extra miles in legs should be in her favour. But there are some handy Mares here, so have rated her a $12. chance, but almost double that could end up being be around.

Good luck Punters.

Caulfield Cup tips and preview

Good work again Cam.
The Guinness looks a race where the fav is worth risking.
The Autumn Sun, which we can’t deny his potential, could need a deal of luck at Caufield. Settling back in a big field, as well as drawn inside, could become precarious.
Native soldier as you said, right on pace, but dist looks his enemy.
Leonardo da Hinchi is going very well, can run it out strongly.
Outrageous, draws well for soft run, and of recent has been solid in betting so fair lead. Value chance for sure.
Muswellbrook, is doing little wrong soft run here puts him as a value chance.
Good n Fast, drawn a touch awkward but he will drop back, dist no concern, likely to find clear air out wide. 3rd up now, and defiantly my best longshot.
The August, do or die for this fellow, but a small bet could be worthwhile. Just might have been looking for the mile now.
Oohood, winner in four way photo last start against fillies, capable, but had drop on a few last start that had tougher runs. In mix though.

Good luck Punters.

Caulfield Guineas day: Group 1 previews and tips

This whole situation has become so deplorable, as the Premier’s gigantuan lack of common sense. That in my view, the overt tackiness and total crassness, has diminished the event so greatly. It will takes some years for its redemption. I will not be engaging in it financially in any way shape or form.

The Everest mega-preview and tips

Good work Cam.

Can the Champion Winx win again? Well she probably will. But on my assessment, and as a punter, sometimes a throw at the stumps is too tempting to refuse. Her last win at that 400 to 300 she was in somewhat of a flat spot, she finally wound up brilliantly to win well. But her competitors there were somewhat inferior to the likes of a 4th up Kings will Dream. Distance holds no fears for this high quality galloper and he is likely to race midfield, plus his last hit out behind Grunt, should have him close to his peak.

Winx rates a $1.15 chance.
Kings will Dream rates an $8.50 chance.

Good luck Punters.

Flemington Turnbull Stakes preview

No block. Two players grappling. It appears a block from the long shot. But the other angle tells a very different story.????

Matthews criticises grand final umpires for 'choke'

It does like sour grapes. Most g finals have little frees overall as the players avoid giving thier opponents an a advantage. when the ball was up forward, in the 2nd half, two pie players breaking from pack, both threw the ball, no free, but kicked to a leading Cox that goaled..did you see that Leigh?

Matthews criticises grand final umpires for 'choke'

Like Crystal Fountain as well Adam. Looks a massive overs, but a smart ride will be vital. Plenty of speed here as well.

Even Egyptian Bullet is another value runner here, gets nice run in behind pace.

Soothing is climbing every mountain, but at the Heath and wide barrier could have work cut out. $5.50 chance for mine.

Behind the barriers: Five bets for Caulfield

A close GF is always better than a GF that’s over at half time.
For mine this was a great Grandfinal. Whatever happened, fumbles etc. The pies dominated the first 20 minutes, then Schofield stopped a pie goal. Then in five minutes Eagles got two goals. The rest of the game was an almighty arm wrestle. In the end the Eagles clawed and scraped thier way to victory. For a GF, it was a beauty.

A close grand final does not a classic make

Good work Cam.
It’s Nature strip’s biggest test to date, and although he ran a track record, Houtzen finished beside him. Pressure was on early in the McEwan, but then it was a race to the line.
The pressure in the Moir goes to another level, with Ball of Muscle likely leading, NS possibly will sit outside of him. That gives some comfort to runners, just off pace, especially 1000 specialists.
I rate Nature Strip $2.75
Ball of Muscle. $8.00
Faatinah. $9.00
Houtzen. $9.00
Spright. $25.00
Snitty Kitty. $13.00

Moonee Valley: Group 1 Moir Stakes preview and tips

It’s Spring Racing and the rail is out 9 metres. Talk about an extra handicap for the punters. A fortnight ago the rail was out six and 8 winners won from no more than five horses out. The only exception on the day was Ellicazoom bolting in out wide in the last, after a suicidal speed was set up by the front runners. Racing handy and not too far from rail, should an advantage tomorrow.

Group 1 Rupert Clarke Stakes preview

Good work Cam.

Hard to find value in the Memsie whatsoever.

Vega Magic: $3.50 chance for mine.

Happy Clapper has never seen Caufield, big horse, looks risk. $7 rating

Kementari: Jury is erring, but gets tough assignments. Hard fit for this, has premium formlines going in. $4.20 rating

The Mc Neil looks the raffle of raffles. Early 3yo races can be very dodgy.

Need a runner that’s value, and should race quite handy. Encryption.

Good Luck Punters.
