I suspect Hoopers been tapped on the shoulder by Renny in respect to national duty and this is a follow on. IMO, while, captain it’s not what he does do it’s what he doesn’t do. He hasn’t managed the ref well at all.

Michael Hooper steps down as Waratahs captain

Let’s see how AAA goes at Brumbies.

That’s a thanks from me too 👍

It's time we educated ourselves on the laws of rugby

They are called sports ears. Highly recommend. You get a better feel for the game.

Blah blah blah. 😂

Super Rugby 2020: A big year for…

Typical Waratahs Tom. Jet in some tried and tested gun from elsewhere instead of trusting and nurturing their rookies. Great for club culture and spirit! Meanwhile the Brumbies cruise along under the radar with an even younger mob that they’ve nurtured. No wonder the Brumbies are perennial conference winners and nsw are perennial flops. All too familiar. Seriously if KB ends up the wallaby fly half I’ll give it away.

True that stillmissit. To hold someone up would be deemed a high tackle would it not?

'Waist-high' tackles among new rugby laws to be trialled

Not sure about the tackle rule. Maybe gradually lowering the level of tackle would have been better. Straight to waist height is a big call. Players like Quade would hate this. 😂 It will concuss those who can’t tackle and reward those teams that can offload across the park. Interesting times ahead.

Yeah well I do have to agree K Leg!

Who thought that bushfire and rugby seasons would ever collide?

Thanks Nicholas. Great insight. Sounds like Fards is very much enjoying his time over there. Good luck to him. Great to hear he’s still available for wallaby duty. Refreshing when you hear a players point of view. I agree with the lack of crowds here. Games are a much better quality in packed stadiums regardless of the size.

The Australian view from across the water: Scott Fardy

ACT is 100% renewable this year. I’d call that doing something.

Who thought that bushfire and rugby seasons would ever collide?

Maybe a curtain raiser to the first game would be a match between the Alarmists v Deniers! That way the rest of us could have an all encompassing fruitful conversation and maybe achieve something. 😛

Just because you are a scientist Waxhead doesn’t make you an expert on climate change unless of course you are a climate change scientist. Having said that we are in the midst of climate change irrelevant of its causes. I’ll leave that to the real experts. The immediate conversation is land management as we can fix that now. Politicians won’t fix climate change but they can fix land management. These fires have a lot to do with Bob Carrs land management way back when did you as a “scientist” tell him of the implications. The conversation must include all angles.

Not a conclusion Brett, but a fair point.

Manuka smoke-out will set a much-needed worrying precedent this Australian summer

So it’s fine to play cricket in higher particulate air in New Delhi without fear or favour? Typical of our ever increasing superiority complex we nurture so well here in Australia.

Manuka smoke-out will set a much-needed worrying precedent this Australian summer

Come on fellas, Brumbies haven’t missed a training session yet! Harden up. I had a Christmas party here last night and didn’t miss a beat. Fair dinkum! Ok I woke up a bit dusty but not smokey. 😂😂

Drama as smoke forces Thunder-Strikers clash to be abandoned

Thanks Peter. A man can dream! Yes indeed. This IMO is one of issue that needs a lot of attention. If free to air television was to show SR, SW and tests it would help break down this old private school boy attitude that is a stigma to the greater community. It would be money well not made for RA to include free to air at the table.

The good, the bad and the ugly of Australian rugby in 2019

I suppose that would be too simple WCR. Jobs would be lost!

“Confidentiality and integrity” WTF? That’s conflicting. I thought it was our game Raelene, so why the secrecy?

Thanks Ronan. Outstanding bravery from you Ronan for using the word volcanic so soon. 😁

Labuschagne shines against impressive NZ attack

Only when the wallabies win regularly DJ,( but I do agree with you.) While we are losing any small story becomes a negative. Winning is the only key.

Why everyone got it wrong about Rugby Australia and Israel Folau

Are you having 2 Bob each way? 😂

The last column about Israel Folau ever, I promise

Haha, nice Matt. I’m with you and this is the last thing I’ll say about Folau: “My KARMA will run over your DOGMA” 😂 😂

The last column about Israel Folau ever, I promise

RA pays for that to make it go away! It being IF and the story.

You need to reread my post KP. 👍
