The refs were not so terrible as you’d love to proclaim, they were OK. qld on the other hand wasn’t – that’s the meat and potatoes of it. They were bashed; outplayed and outwitted. They were only allowed to play as well as NSW let them, they tried to play well but they were just beaten cold turkey in all aspects. They’ll need to accept this and move forward in order to give themselves a sniff in Sydney. And get that coach whisperer back in there to replace the memories of the horrors of last night with positive ones

Wallace was the only one having a go, the rest of the frog fraternity sat back on their haunches so he deserves praise but yes that was a silly costly error, I think he got there in time, just got the technique wrong ended up going too low putting Maloney in a dangerous position. No leave the rules as they are, you’re going to remove the charge down with that sort of rule and remove an aspect of the game we so love to see – charge downs that lead to tries against the grain style, turning a game on its head

Yeah Jarrod Wallace’s tackle on Maloney was cowardly but even he was just trying to put pressure on Maloney, it was dangerous but in don’t think he meant to do it. Unlike the all time modern day grub McGuire with that late cheap shot on Maloney. That was one of the lowest things a human being playing in the NRL could ever do! I think it’ll be close. Fittler has some sort of game plan and selected based on that. One thing that stands out is the inclusion of Ferguson, he thinks they need someone to bring it back with venom when pegged down in their own half. Sims obviously is there to ensure both qld pivots incur a HIA. But it looks like these guys were picked to perform an all out attacking raid, it’ll help with Maloney there. If they click, the game will be over by half time in NSW favour, if it doesn’t… well the other team takes the series. The forwards brought in for qld are not as strong or in the kind of form of the people they are replacing so there are opportunities for NSW to snuff them out in the middle. Can’t wait to see how the game goes. #UpTheBlues

I’m a die hard Dragons fan but Tariq is nowhere near the form he was in last year when Origin came around; I was surprised he didn’t take part in the whole series. So no, I’d have Cody Walker on the bench in place of Whighton
I agree Crichton needs to be replace but not with Jackson, if you actually watched NRL this year you’d see quite clearly he is not in the right mind to be put in that sort of environment, he’s just not playing the way he normally does, he is struggling at the dogs. So no, I’d have Dale Finucane in there
No, I wouldn’t go with Lodge, I’d have a RCG or give an opportunity to rising star Damien Saifiti at the Knights, he won’t take a backward step and will get the job done.

NSW will win in Perth, and it will have a lot to do with Latrell finding his mojo again. At least he hasn’t shown signs of kicking a field goal in the dying stages of a match when you’re down by 2 and a field goal is only worth 1 point

I’ve said from the beginning NSW needed an experienced half out there; a cool head like Maloney full of experience in big games was terribly needed – Fittler got that wrong or didn’t work out the right sort of play for Cleary and Walker. Nick Cotric looked very tired in the latter stages, probably because of a leg injury. Hass and Crichton didn’t provide impact off the bench. A lot of one out stuff and no usage of the ball culled their chances. So the changes are; 1) Bring in Maloney, bench Walker 2) Drop Crichton, bring in Matt Prior 3) Drop Cotric, bring in Turbo

For how much longer? Well as long as there are 2 teams pit against each other, it’ll be there. I’d say at least the next 100 years
We still get excited about Origin but for how much longer?
I think DCE will get found out early and will struggle with the pace of the game with no match fitness coming in. Mbye is another I think goes OK at club level but didn’t kick down the door coming into the side. He’ll need to be possessed by an evil spirit to play well. Hunt at 9 is also a risk; has an error in him that comes at times when absolutely not needed. Otherwise, I think the team is strong and they’ll play well

Yeah I honestly think Pearce is done for. And George who? I thought Michael Crocker retired years ago? I’d assign the right side Centre vacancy to Jesse Ramien who has been outstanding for the Sharks last year and the Knights this year – he is dangerous in attack and punishing in defense. The halves – I just can’t pick Cleary. I wouldn’t be too upset if they kept Maloney but they should have Keary at 7 and Walker at 6 to go with the rest of the spine in Tedesco and Cook. The right wing should have Addo-Carr and left a Daniel Tupou or Nick Cotric – END

I’d have Jesse Ramien in place of Whighton and Maloney at 6, but don’t mind if they pick Reynolds. Dale Finucane needs to be somewhere in there. Otherwise, very strong team that can tear opposition sides to shreds
