I think they might have been preparing for this. I wonder if Jack and Latrell had a chat, and Latrell then had a little word with those at the Bunnies.

The Bunnies have been missing up to six middle forwards throughout the early rounds, and going 3 and 3 has been good enough. As always they got bashed by the Panthers but other than that they were right in the contest for the other two losses. I think 2 and 2 for the next four will put them in a strong position for the run home. They could get hit hard in SOO selections with Keaon and Stretch making strong cases along with regulars Cookie, Cam and Arrow likely to be selected, so will need limited injuries during this period.

Good article mate. The sharks and Cows definitely got a softer draw. I’d love to see how many sides played NQ in QLD and how many times NQ travelled to NSW as well.
It’s never going to be a balanced draw. It’s just a fact of life. I like how you didn’t try and rectify it as it’s just not possible. As a south’s supporter I’m pleased we play dogs, roosters, tigers twice every year. How it should be.

Don’t really agree in the kicking comparison. Whilst Hawkins put in some nice inventive kicks, Ilias’ box kicking is superior, high and landing 5m from the tryline, is paramount to South’s game plan.
Sele is regarded very highly and will get better if he can EVER get some regular game time and avoid injuries.

As a south’s supporter I hope we don’t play them in week 1. I’m confident we will beat them in rd 25, but it is a tricky mental preparation beating a team one week, and then facing them again the next week. Also will be hard for either team that gets through two weeks in a row against each other. They will be brutal affairs.
Both teams playing well. Could both go far if they get in different sides of the draw.
