Oh I see, didn’t realise that but it makes sense. Nonetheless, we need to be doing more to retain talent whilst letting them develop up north as the future of rugby seems to be wholly in the hands of the northern hemisphere currently. Letting guys get overseas experiencefrom the get-go of their careers with the requirement they return seems a no-brainer and an easy enough clause to introduce in contracts

Rugby News: RA signs 'landmark' deal with Japan, Wallaby joins French powerhouse, Lealiifano starts against Fiji

We should be encouraging all our young players to get on short term deals with France in-between Super seasons, an agreement could even be built into contracts. Way better way to develop these guys than having them play in sub-standard amateur club comps

Rugby News: RA signs 'landmark' deal with Japan, Wallaby joins French powerhouse, Lealiifano starts against Fiji

The game is utterly dead with people like him at the helm. It’s just so depressing to witness.

CONFIRMED: Lions tour dates, venues announced with big twist on Anzac XV concept and every SR team playing

Sadly it’s really going that way, Shoreman. And if we want to fix it, a new coach anointed is not going to cut it the game needs systematic changes and long term investment, just like in Ireland

The two-week observation: The Wallabies can play low possession rugby OR find the Australian way – but not both

Too many dollars and not enough sense. They’re nepotistic private schoolboys who don’t have the ability to actually run an organisation when they’re not spoonfed a role and the requirements of it. None of them are real sports administrators, they send those guys away to develop Ireland into world powerhouses

Thrown together Australia A side beaten by Tonga as Tupou completes comeback, mixed day for RWC hopefuls

The game is dying here, that’s why. Thanks to the crap organisations that have run it the last 20 years from RA down to the states

Bang on about the hookers, neither should be anywhere near it imo. Not selecting BPA is a big missed opportunity

Wallabies CONFIRMED: 10 changes with McReight in for Hoops, Eddie's bench gamble, Rebel's debut and Suli dropped

That’s a better team than last wevery similar to the best side Rennie fielded in 2021 when we won 5 straight. But will some of the serious issues with lacking cohesion be remedied? How they respond will be very interesting

Wallabies CONFIRMED: 10 changes with McReight in for Hoops, Eddie's bench gamble, Rebel's debut and Suli dropped

On that performance- yes

REACTION: 'You don't have to be a smart arse, mate' - Eddie blows up at journo after Wallabies shocker

It’s hard mate, so so hard to come back when this is what we’re constantly given as supporters. At least the boks had the players to come good, looking at our depth I’m not sure

'Disaster': Wallabies hammered by Boks as Eddie Jones' return falls flat

I’m more worried about off the ball, he showed lack of interest defensively, poor effort and didn’t position himself well/missed tackles an international winger needs to hit. Those should be non-negotiables to qualify for the test team and if they can’t be done in SR level…

Exclusive: Four debutants, Suli to start, skipper in doubt - Eddie springs surprises for Boks opener

If the leaks are correct and Vunivalu is selected that’s a disgrace imo. He hasn’t done anything at SR level that suggests he should even be in the squad and it undermines everything that’s been said about selecting on form. EJ would prefer to coach League it seems. That’s very harsh on Mark N too considering he has at least played well at test level if we really have no other options. It’s all on Eddie now, you’d better walk the walk

Exclusive: Four debutants, Suli to start, skipper in doubt - Eddie springs surprises for Boks opener

Agreed fully mate. Actions speak louder than words. Moreso when you hear nothing but bs words for how many years now? Eddie lives and dies by his own sword now.

'It doesn't have to be nonsense': Eddie's no closer to knowing Wallabies' RWC squad than Rennie was

In that instance there’s a fair few others who should also be exiting post the RWC…fingers crossed it doesn’t go that way.

'It doesn't have to be nonsense': Eddie's no closer to knowing Wallabies' RWC squad than Rennie was

I reckon he’s dropping out once Jordy and Kellaway are at fitness again.

Donaldson in as EIGHT uncapped players picked: Co-captains named for Wallabies as Eddie's first squad revealed

Yeah Georgia are developing in spite well. Their u20s are tough. They remind me of Argentina, with the right support, it’ll be a matter of time before they’re mixing it consistently with the big boys in test rugby imo

'In Australia there's nothing like the Six Nations': Former Wallaby says dad finally converted to Scotland cause

I don’t know Paul, just feels kind of mercenary to me if one moves to a tier one nation with no real affiliation in between world cups. Nothing wrong with the players making the most of their career, they deserve to, but I see this rule as designed to help the second tier PI nations first and foremost not other tier one sides. Plus those guys have much more affiliation with the countries they go back to. Just my opinion, it’s a small quibble in the scheme of things.

'In Australia there's nothing like the Six Nations': Former Wallaby says dad finally converted to Scotland cause

Agreed. The rule is meant to benefit the PI, which it has thankfully, but it is being exploited by the tier one sides too which is not who it’s designed for. The residency rule is now five years I think, no reason the stand down can’t be as well.

'In Australia there's nothing like the Six Nations': Former Wallaby says dad finally converted to Scotland cause

Real shame, would’ve been great to have him and Jorgensen in the team.

'Shattered': Lynagh ruled out of Junior Wallabies' world championships as young gun reveals Thorn legacy

Especially with Carter Gordon available

Exclusive: Eddie's cunning World Cup play as Australian-heavy Barbarians fixtures arranged

I’ve got question marks on him too, but the junior wallabies at least performed in NZ

Exclusive: Eddie's cunning World Cup play as Australian-heavy Barbarians fixtures arranged

One would think eventually RA will walk into the solution, as they keep stumbling over the same obstacles over and over again.

Exclusive: Eddie's cunning World Cup play as Australian-heavy Barbarians fixtures arranged

As this exposes our lack of a third tier, hopefully it spurs on the resurrection of the nrc. A man dream at least.

Not a bad plan though, keeps the replacements matchfit and within reach

We’ve been going blue in the face saying the same thing for years
