first try was sublime from england. any rugby fan can admit that. superb build up, especially since it was at the start of the game.
as for the sf2, your 12 did well i admit but biggar did a botha impression of defence. (i would say another 10’s name who goes high but i am enjoying him not being in these threads lately and for the future i hope.)
the second sf2 try was making the most of a very bad scrum and some horrible defensive play from your 7 and 9 and also your winger who left his oppo and came in. thoroughly enjoyable for the underdog in the scrum i would say.
to be clear i really enjoyed both games but it was obvious saturday was a great spectacle for the game and sunday was for the purists. my soccer mates watching with me where off doing other things on sunday by half time it was the opposite on saturday.
don’t try and be the smart alec when it comes to the facts/reality of the match.
we don’t need another trump. especially a saffa trump!!

i really have no clue, as has been proved many times on here!
i do think though that eddie would prefer to be against the boks than the welsh.
without a shadow of a doubt i can picture him building up these 8 weeks of knocking off oz, nz and sa.
as for the comments about preparing for nz for 4 years and only for 1 week against the saffas. if you fancy that then i have some mortgage backed derivative instruments for sale going cheap.

i admit i was 150% for the points.
no tries yet for wales up until then. get the three, get the ball back and kick down into the saffa corners and start again for, operative word, maybe, snaring a try.
when i saw the scrum call i was speechless. the saffa scrum had the welsh dominated, so much so that moriaty was binding on channel one for all of their feeds.
in reality the scrum from the saffas was too strong and du toit over shot giving the welsh a blind side play.
very lucky for the welsh that one if one is being honest. a try on a scrum going backwards off channel one ball.
Wales' hugely gutsy decision earns them a try... but not the win

eben seems to be a shadow of what he was.

the english backrow now is a different circumstance to before. borthwick/mitchell have that back 5 working incredibly well.

legendary coaching performance from the guy to bring this england to this level over the past 4 years.
as grayson said he took a team to win 20 odd games then broke it down and rebuilt with this 2 months being the objective.

One thing that actually is vitally important over the next few months is the performance of Director of Rugby Scott Johnson. Not in his role to appoint a new Wallabies coach, as crucial as that is, but to assert himself as the rugby face of Rugby Australia – to assure fans that there is an experienced rugby person at the helm, alongside and supportive of the CEO.

Week 5 World Cup reflections: Entering the war zone
many on the roar won’t know or remember is that england finished 5th in the 6 nations in 2018, 6th being italy as per near usual.
eddie had signed a contract extension until the end of 2021 on the back of the 2016/17 seasons before the 2018 six nations.
at the end of said 5th place, the knives were out. there was a lot coming from oz re the 2 year burn out coach etc. sadly so many seemed to enjoy this downturn in the eddie’s team and particularly eddie.
what has transpired, even without the a victory next weekend, has been a sight to enjoy.
this english team has built up slowly and methodically, alot like our 99 team, to a point of playing a near on perfect game yesterday.
beside johnny may there was not one under achieving or beaten player for england.
eddie had a plan as paul grayson said. he had 20 odd wins then broke the team down to the basics and started it again. some survived, others didn’t. all with an objective in mind, next saturday.
i tip my hat to the guy and am proud of him.
here is hoping that soon he will be sir eddie!!
