India has shown in the past that it is capable of unexpectedly chasing down huge fourth inning totals despite failing to perform earlier in the match.

Jordan Petaia does not have the bulk to be effective at inside centre. He also seems injury prone. That position seems to have evolved to be the domain of heavy, strong Pacific Islanders.
Sadly, the day of elusive backs seems to be disappearing.

Five things we learned: Brumbies loss proved Eddie right, how Hardwick's Namibia switch could sting

No “power and pace” from Cooper. He has lost his speed over distance.
Nice passes but some dangerous flicks which can cost.
Great kicking into space and territory.
What is his defence like now? I shudder to think what will happen when big forwards run into him.

'Power and pace, it's frightening': Why Quade reminds Eddie of Dan Carter, and a huge hint over Skelton's RWC role

I have been a fan of Tom right for sometime. He has missed a few critical tackles it’s the last line of defence, which is a problem.

Brumbies' top two hopes blow up in smoke as Chiefs confirm status as Super Rugby favourites, Alaalatoa injured

Five points from the Brumbies visit to the Force would have come in handy. An act of arrogance and overconfidence by Larkham
I was on record as fearing this outcome. ????

How Susaki develops will depend on which team he plays for. The brumbies have a strong record of turning inexperience players into world class. The Waratah’s on the other hand do not seem to bring much extra value to the young players.
This is not a comment on the respective head coaches. The only reason I can think of is that in Canberra there’s a strong feeling of unity that is more present in towns and small cities. Not so many distractions.

Five things we learned: Brumbies bottle top two hopes, Eddie's must-pick for Wallabies

I expected the Brumbies to lose. I was at the game against the highlanders and I thought they were out last classes by the visitors for 3/4 of the match.
Dropping 12 players was a suicidal decision. It was treating the Force players with contempt.
I hope they recover whatever they had that gave them such a good starting this comp

Five things we learned: Brumbies bottle top two hopes, Eddie's must-pick for Wallabies

I am surprised at all the quote “experts” pick the Brumbies to win despite having an almost new team. I did make the comment pre-game that I feared for the Brumbies. I wish I had been wrong. 🙁

'No excuses': Force snap 14-match, 10-year losing streak against Brumbies in hammer blow to top two hopes

I fear for the Brumbies. Opposing a confident side, most of their stars missing, and having travel fatigue. Ouch!!

Carter Gordon’s loping running style and the time he seems to have reminds me of Larkham.

Waratahs continue second half season surge as 'forgotten man' helps put away Rebels

Interesting that the Highlanders took penalties instead of going for try corner. The multiple 3 pointers almost won them theme. All the Aussie teams nearly always roll the dice rather taking sure points.

'A real grind': Waratahs keep season alive by winning ugly against Highlanders

I cannot see where Haas would play if he came over to rugby. Too short for the #4+5 line out position. Not experienced for a rugby front row. Not aerobic enough or fast enough for a loose forward.

The Wrap: Two egotists swinging their appendages in public isn't a ‘code war’ - but it is tiresome and demeaning

Dumping for Falau was the biggest mistake rugby has ever made. He is still the highest try scorer in super Rugby, despite the fact, his career was terminated many years prematurely.

The Folau Factor: Why Rugby Australia have gone all-in on Suaalii

I though the Reds were the superior team in the first half. Their backs were passing well and running onto the passes well. A surprising second half does not make for a scathing review for the whole game. They seem to run out of puff.

'Classic indicators of failed coaching': Thorn is finished, so here's what should happen next for the Reds

The head of Blyth late and into the face of o’Toole was the most obvious automatic Red card that I have ever witnessed. Making it a Yellow card knowing it will be upgraded to Red was curious. How long will O’Toole take to recover from his physical damage. I pray there will be no lasting psychological damage for the young man.
Does an immediate Red allow for a replacement after 20 min, or it it 14 men for the rest of the game?
The Reds did very well to score a try with 14 on the field. Losing the plot in the last 25 min is very puzzling, despite all the writer’s suggestions .
Are Australian side sufficiently aerobic fit for the 80min? I wondered about this last year as well.
AB often won the game at the death and noticed that they still looked fresh at the end while the opposition bodies were lying panting. (watch the 86th min win over Ireland in Dublin, or at least the last 10-15 minutes) The Qld Reds also looks exhausted in contrast to the Brumbies. Hard to believe that modern coaches have not made training programs for the elementary obligation.

Smith may site numbers about time in play, but as 80% of the time is spent by big forwards barging into the opposition for four or five boring tackles and then kicking, the amount of creative play is very small.

A pity that he will not play for the Brumbies. They have a history of bring out the best in players.
All the other converts from league did not achieve their potential.
NSW may be the money magnet, but do not get the results from their big bucks.

Yes , very impressive. Imagine having Dan Carter and Dupont playing together

No such thing with the Waratahs.

Picking the ideal Waratahs list for 2023

The 37% win/lost ratio is so silly and misleading.
They include a loss to the AB after a controversial last minute decision. As an AB supporter it helped the ratio data for the AB, and it was technically correct, but I have to admit it left a bad taste
Most of the Northern tour matches were won/lost by a few points, many in the last minutes or in overtime.
The stats may look bad, but the real message is that the WB are up there with their NH counterparts. Given that, it is forgivable for Rennie to take the long view an experiment with the Italy farce.

ANALYSIS: Why Rennie had to go and the ruthless Eddie edge that makes the Wallabies World Cup contenders

I always thought that when SA learn to use black African speedsters to complement their grunt forwards, they would be unstoppable. The first try was a thing of beauty – reminded me of the AB of a few years ago. They are now my favourites for the RWC.
