Thanks. thats a good point. careers are long, but not necessarily test careers

A look at cricket's 100 Test men

Yes, thanks a lot. Updating and will request the editor to update the article as well

A look at cricket's 100 Test men

Thanks a lot for the motivation and encouragement

A look at cricket's 100 Test men

as of now i would simply say he is an exciting prospect. Too early to say next sachin or sunny. After all it was on a flat track with even Jadeja getting a ton ( full credit to both of course), apart from King Kohli as well .
i would remember the names of Shikhar ( 187 vs Australia on bedut, and the fastest ton by a debutant), Rohit Sharma, debut 100 as well, and Karun Nair , 300 in 3rd test innings, before labelling Pithvi the next tendulkar or Gavaskar

In Prithvi Shaw, have India unearthed the next Gavaskar or Tendulkar?

Exactly . I have no issues with Hanuma. If they were to play him they should have taken him in original squad itself

The inexplicable dropping of Karun Nair

excellent points

Review of the 2018 Laver Cup

Good point certainly

Lucky you to see that 100, esp as he was your favorite Indian batsman

The lord of Lord's and other Indian centurions at the Mecca of cricket

Excellent point about Vinoo.

The lord of Lord's and other Indian centurions at the Mecca of cricket

Brilliant inputs, each one of them, thanks a ton, will update

Families where cricket runs in the blood

Tremendous inputs friends. Thanks a lot. Will update

Families where cricket runs in the blood

Yes, I agree that Kane was lucky. Hence many say that to award golden boot award penalty should not be included

Harry Kane and the curse of the Golden Boot

Yes it is awarded to the player who scores the most goals. Thanks for the subtle correction which improves the communication

Harry Kane and the curse of the Golden Boot

Unfortunately there is a widespread debate that it is a weak era, hence i wrote such a detailed article. I am happy the editors published it without any cut, as i felt that each and every point is pertinent to demolish the notion

Roger Federer and the weak era myth

Roger Federer and the weak era myth

Yes bazza. indeed the fed is a legend. Thats the essence of the article . that they were also not great players as he did not allow them that leeway. Hewitt by dint of his massive hard work could have achieved so more but for the fact that Fererer was at his peak and stopped Hewitt from winning quite a bit more

Roger Federer and the weak era myth

Hahaha. Well said BigJ. I in fact had seriously thought that the editors will not allow it to be published as it is too long. But honestly despite several self -editing attempts i could not make it shorter. Glad u liked it though, thanks for the appreciation

Roger Federer and the weak era myth

Right Brian. I feel DelPo may pose a threat at US Open. for French Open it seems to be Rafa all the way, while Wimbledon will see Federer as the strongest contendor

Emperor Rafa, 401 and counting

Absolutely correct. very good summary. and yes, an in form player can do the double. Looks like Delpo or zverev at the moment.
lets see

Winning tennis' Sunshine Double

Yes Clipper. Coincidentally i have submitted an article on Laureus Awards. Amazing that he won it 10 years after winning it last time, and that too when competitors like ronaldo, hamilton, rafa and mo farah were there

Roger Federer: old is gold

yes DavSA it is very important as to what the SA think tank will come up with and how they approach the series.
I am looking forward to the series. It will be great Test cricket

Australia-South Africa Test series preview

Rohit Sharma (Capt), Shikhar Dhawan (vc), KL Rahul, Suresh Raina, Manish Pandey, Dinesh Karthik (wk), Deepak Hooda, Washington Sundar, Yuzvendra Chahal, Axar Patel, Vijay Shankar, Shardul Thakur, Jaydev Unadkat, Mohammad Siraj, Rishabh Pant (wk)….India Squad for T20 Tri-nation Trophy….

So, good balanced team. Some superstars there. Some new faces. and some superstars and overworked regulars like virat, dhoni, Bhuvaneswar Kumar and Bumraah rested . while dhoni not overworked his resting and selection of pant a look into the future

Dear BCCI, please convert a needless tour into an opportunity

Yes that too was a most meaningless series as well

Dear BCCI, please convert a needless tour into an opportunity

I agree. I think from the Unmukt Chand led team hardly anyone has gone on to play for the senior team. except Sandeep Sharma who did not do well either

Dear BCCI, please convert a needless tour into an opportunity

Excellent points indeed. A golden chance was lost. The longish home series vs Sri Lanka was not required at all and rather the team should have visited South Africa two weeks earlier

Dear BCCI, please convert a needless tour into an opportunity
