Pumas by 15. All Blacks by 5. Wallabies are not settled team and have not changed their back row who did bugger all to compete at the breakdown. Pumas will be ferocious at the breakdown.

ABs and SBs will both play up another level from last week, this will be an epic game with home advantage getting them over the line.

New Zealand vs South African: Five key match-ups and predictions

Wallabies are just not a smart side anymore and haven’t been for years now. Comprehensively beaten by Springboks B. If it was their first choice side, wallabies would have been flogged like dogs. Pumas pushed ABs all the way this morning, they will be very hard to beat next week and they are a settled and confident team. Wallabies are not. ABs will easily win both games, Wallabies will most likely enter the RWC tournamant with only one win over Samoa…and then face a Fiji team who appear to have improved their set piece and have a brilliant backline.

Six talking points from Wallabies vs Springboks

have been watching Fiji play the All Black Maori the last 2 weeks…given Fiji still have not put their best team on field, I would have to say Fiji A represent a credible threat to the Wallabies. Fiji would have to play their best and Wallabies have an off day (common occurrence) but it is entirely possible Australia do not make quarter finals in World Cup

Nic White and Tom Banks to give Wallabies a post-Folau kickstart

More likely to play England in the quarter final (England win their pool and Wallabies come second) and exit there. But they have to get past Fiji first which is not a foregone conclusion.

Ellis Park win a golden chance to get Wallaby tails up

Don’t know of anyone who would have played for peanuts instead of going overseas in his scenario. Why should he? Professional rugby players need to make hay while the sun shines – which is never for long. Getting away from Aus was probably the best thing he could have done at the time.

Give the lad a go and see what he can bring to the team, we need some quality in the backline now that Izzy won’t be there

James O'Connor: Faulty product to industry standard

No Kerevi or Kuridrani, are you ‘aving a laugh?

There’s really no way of knowing. They got to play weak teams like the Sunwolves and Waratahs twice but did not play the Sharks or Highlanders at all. Just conjecture with law of averages. They came top of what was clearly the weakest conference.

Have you seen him play lately?

I would say he is definitely ahead of AAC who is too far off the pace now despite having great rugby instincts. JOC is a great option on the bench with his versatility and he can kick goals.
Australian rugby could do with a good news story. He has done his time, lets see how he goes in the RC. Wishing him all the best

The conference system gave the Brumbies a false elevation in overall points. Had it been a round robin format, they probably would have finished 6th, 7th or 8th. I would be very suprised if Wallabies make the semi finals of WC. Most likely scenario is they comes second in their pool and get flogged by England in the quarter final.
