I thought man of the match was Elton Jantjies. He was definitely the Crusaders best player. Without him the Lions may have won the match.

I’ve seen loads of guys giving batsmen nice send offs in the past with no action taken. Why is Rabada so special? The ICC should be consistent. What about Warner swearing leaving the field? Isn’t that a level 1 offence?

All these players charged by the mysterious ICC. Who are these guys making all these decisions.? Or is Jeff Crowe the ICC? What a plonker. Shaping up to be one of the all time great test series, a great showpiece for test cricket, and the “ICC ” can’t make sure that it turns out that way. Fine the guy and move on but don’t take players out of the game.Talk about some old stuffy jackets shooting themselves in the foot. So disappointing, for both teams and the fans.

I don’t think the crowd attendance alone is a gauge of test match popularity. With TV coverage as good as it is, I know a lot of people who prefer to watch on TV even if the match is down the road. Nice comfortable couch, air con, great view of the wicket, replays, expert analysis and a ten second walk to the fridge. Who would want to go to the ground??
Also the main revenue for cricket comes from tv rights anyway, so too much emphasis is placed on crowd figures. The crowd are just supporting actors in the show anyway.
Still absolutely love test cricket even more than T20!

David. to think that you believe they would dob Warner in is laughable. Where have you been throughout his career? Australian cricket has always covered up for him , because of his value to the team with the bat. Nothing else.
Admit it, he is an embarrassment to our cricket values. You of all people should be able to recognise that.

Darren: ” ok remember boys we want to get under there skin today so I hope you all did your homework to come up with nice sledges, or “creative sledging ” as I like to call it. I will not tolerate non-imaginative sledging on my watch. We have a fine tradition to uphold here boys”
Davey :”er…coach I was thinking of maybe going for parents and siblings?”
Darren : ” yes I do like that idea. It’s not that original but it has worked wonders for Warnie in the past. What were you thinking?”

Everyone is supposed to take Warner’s sledging on the chin and wear it. Imagine if everyone reacted like Warner when he gets it. And who decides who is out of bounds and who isn’t.

Nothing is gonna change if nothing changes. A team cannot learn how to win at the World Cup and a losing Wallaby Team is really bad for the sport in Oz.
I just wish the ARU weren’t sitting like deer’s in the headlights hoping for better days.
