Nice article Chris! You covered the bases well. I’m really excited to see how Brookyln and the Lakers perform. I’m happy for Harden to have gone to Houston because in any other team apart from the Thunder he will excel as the marquee player.

Do you or anyone else know of a good webpage that shows highlights of the games? nba.com isn’t the best.

The most anticipated NBA season?

i really do think Hougaard on the wing is the best decision Meyer has made this year – having a three wing squad consisting of Hougaard, Pietersen and Habana is perfect! As for Lambie, i just don’t know how he’ll go when Goosen takes the stage, given it is likley goosen will live up to the hype and remain our fly half for years to come. I’d love to see lambie do really well at fullback, as he oozes talent, but to be honest he hasn’t impressed that much in the positon for the Boks or for the Sharks

Springboks must make changes

Agreed BiltongBek, but geez I cann’t wait to see Morne piss off permanently!

Springboks must make changes

Let’s go 49ers!!!! Huge season. This is their time fo sho!!!

Why the 49ers will win the Super Bowl

No offence mate but Cutler is pathetic! As per usual Bears will disappoint. Lions and Cowboys will out do them.

Leading NFC contenders for season 2012

Loving the NFL articles Alistair! I’m an unashamedly bias 49ers supporter, but this season really stands as our opportunity to go to the Superbowl. Alex Smith is far from all-star quality, but he seems to be our only main weakness…I know QBs are vital but with a defense like ours, and some important off-season offensive signings, this could be the year.

Aside from the 49ers I so excited to see the rookies starting this year – Griffin III, Luck, Tannenhill, Floyd, Claiborne, Richardson….the list goes on. Not to mention the progress of Cam Newton and the odd partnership of Sanchez and Tebow!

Bring on season 2012-13!

Leading NFC contenders for season 2012

Etienne, in terms of the choices in the squad at the moment, I think you’re slections are pretty spot on. We HAVE to get rid of M.Steyn quick smart! He is killing our backline and preventing any creative moves….we look awful when he is at first pivot. Lambie should be given an opportunity now….I know he needs time but he knows the positon well enough to step into the role, especially given he has big match experience already. Unfortunately Meyer likes his Bulls boys too much. also, with Pietersen out I think Hougaard should be playing wing – he has been ultra impressive every time he has played there.

Springboks must make changes

Amen Alfred!

Has Hunt successfully switched codes yet?

Good crisp article mate! So much talent coming through. I’m most excited about Iriving – this guy is magic!

NBA players to watch this season: Part one

Great article Mac and I agree with your reply to Biltongbek wholeheatedly. EP should be given the chance. It will be great for the game and great for the Eastern Cape! Biltongbek I am the first to criticise the insidious poltiical corruption and intereference in SA sport but your words of Cheeky Watson are totally subjective. The man stood against the powerful white elite at a time when few had the courage to do so. I think him and his son Luke have been victimised unfairly. Well done Cheeky!!!!!!

Southern Kings get Super Rugby berth

Good short article Matt! I am a long-time North supporter and I was literally expecting a whitewash of a season after the Hawthorn game, espcially since we lost our CEO around the same time. I never would have thought we could make 8th spot, let alone 6th or higher! We have been excpetional! North are putting on amazing displays weekly now….and this hasn’t happened in 10 years!!!

Kangaroos heading north up the ladder

Good on you Clyde! We will all be watching intently next season and getting right behind you!!!

RATHBONE: Why I've returned to rugby

Amen Vince! Would be great to nab Tippett. His concussions are a genuine concern though….that fact must be affecting his market price.

Why the Gold Coast Suns need Kurt Tippett

by rarely happens I meant I rarely agree 100% with anybody regarding Springbok rugby, not you personally mate haha

Rugby Championship: Springbok preview

Great article bru! I agree with everything you said, and that rarely happens. If only Kirchner made way for Lambie and Steyn for Goosen then I wouldn’t have any real problems with the selected team for this Saturday. Meyer may be a bity conservative but I’m just stoked we have a significantly better coaching staff than what PdV and his losers offered!

Keep up the good articles mate.

Cheers

Rugby Championship: Springbok preview

Great article. Short and to the point. We’d all totally love to see Bolt make a cameo….his calypso, happy-go-lucky attitude is totally infectious and the Aussie crowds would lap him up! I don’t like Eddie as a person but he sure is an astute sports administrator/businessman

Warne and Bolt for the Melbourne Stars?

Viscount unfortuntely the sleeve tattoo craze is a growing trend in SA….just look at Francois Hougaard – great player but I guarantee you he is the Saffa-equivalent of a bogan wanker haha

Cricket, golf ... South African sport on a roll

Amen brother!

Cricket, golf ... South African sport on a roll

Cheers David. Look forward to your future articles!

Cricket, golf ... South African sport on a roll

Good story David! Always nice to see an Aussie humbly applauding South African sport.

Cricket, golf ... South African sport on a roll

Great article Andrew! I’m a Queenslander who supports North (and now GC as well) and am loving how truly national the sport is becoming! I also think the Swans deserve to be favourites as they’ve been the most consistent team all season. Wouldn’t mind seeing a Sydney v Eagles repeat final…

Here's to the Swans winning the flag

I agree with you Royce. Potgieter was pretty fantastic for the Bulls and he seems the obvious replacement to Alberts, as they play a similar big-boy-bashup style. Janjties doesn’t deserve to be there, neither does Basson and Olivier. I think it’s pretty clear that Basson and Jantjies are political selections….guess we better get used to it because the black quota doesn’t seem to be leaving anytime soon.
Would also really have liked to see Kolisi get a call-up in place of Kankowski.

I’m still gee’d up by our start to the new Bok era though. Meyer may make some dodgy selections here and there but I feel blessed to know we have him and Rassie at the helm.

GO BOKKIES!!

Boks make three changes for England Test

I really do agree with you Royce and I’m very pleased to see more articles being contributed re Springbok rugby. Certainly the selections of Olivier, Kirchner and Basson have been mind-boggling. Hopefully Olivier and Kirchner have done enough to show they should not ever be afforded the opportunity to don the green jersey ever again. Aplon and De Jong, or even Tim Whitehead should have been preferred to the pathetic Olivier! As for Keegan, well I really like his play in Super Rugby but geez he struggles at the international level…..he’s just too small and his efforts in the scrums were shocking – it angered me that he stood up right when we were being driven backwards. I think Keegan should go for Brussouw, Olivier for De Jong/Whitehead, Basson for Aplon, and Spies for Vermullen. Perhaps space needs to be made for Kolisi too as he has been amazing! As for Morne, I truly cannot wait for a fit Johan Goosen to replace him!

Poor bench nearly costs Springboks
