I’d suggest if you’re Sydney centric you’re a shoo-in. I think we should give Herbert a chance. How about we stop trying to burn down everything for a change. Smells like sour grapes to me after McLennan deservedly got the boot

COMMENT: Australian rugby is a depressing picture - the RA board must be axed and the constitution changed

You’d have to think it’s a given. Pretty low bar

'It can be something great': Schmidt turns to 'scrum doctor' as next step in Wallabies rebuild

Agreed. That was so wrong. Horrible miscasting

'It can be something great': Schmidt turns to 'scrum doctor' as next step in Wallabies rebuild

Incredibly humble grinners though…

'It can be something great': Schmidt turns to 'scrum doctor' as next step in Wallabies rebuild

Well, I love what I’m hearing and what Joe is doing. I’m officially feeling positive and it’s been a drought of late. I know better than to make too much of any talk but the bus seems to be heading in the right direction at least

How Schmidt landed All Blacks icon at Wallabies - and why '80 per cent of coaching is selection'

I hear bottle caps are more effective

EXCLUSIVE: Schmidt to appoint David Warner as Wallabies leadership consultant

That escalated quickly. No rules were broken by Chappel. Questionable sportsmanship but in the rules but the bat throwing by Smith was appalling. Chris Pringle anyone?

EXCLUSIVE: Schmidt to appoint David Warner as Wallabies leadership consultant

Jeez that’s fierce Ferret. I deeply loathe most things NSW but can’t help but support them against a Kiwi team.

Passionate, visceral, irrational tribalism is vital for any competition to succeed. Is a lack of it damaging Super Rugby?

Agreed, and QLD as has always been the case, is the red hot bed of it

Speak for yourself Mick. That’s not how I feel at all…

I’m thinking another half truth like the Japanese saga. Hard to know really but what I do know for sure is the level of nauseous BS he uttered/utters to the players in the Stan doco. So hard to listen to.
He’ll be remembered in his second coming as a stain on Aus Rugby

'Everything was approved': Eddie hits back at $2.6m RWC budget blow-out, says Wallabies can build team around young gun

And jackled the penalty to close the match

'Be useful': how unrivalled discipline and work rate is lifting the Reds to new heights

Good Lord… The angst of a kiwi over a positive Reds article referencing 3 games not 1. First comment. Good for you

'Be useful': how unrivalled discipline and work rate is lifting the Reds to new heights

Yeah true Piru, but it’s always good fun reading the outraged commentary you have to admit

The Crusaders dynasty looks dead - so how will it impact the All Blacks?

Yeah, the process not the individual players. They didn’t have a home anymore but there were also a few fans in 2006 that begrudged the Force pinching players that were housed. Again, the process not the players.
.
This article is OK but isn’t objective for obvious reasons as mentioned above. I suppose it also comes down a bit to your personal view of Twiggy too. I’ve been against reducing from 5 Super teams but not anymore.
.
Whilst we’re David Byrne theming, there’s a couple of other songs by that genius that weren’t mentioned. “Dancing for Money” , “Big Daddy”, “Sugar on My Tongue”……

'He screwed our state': The act that still angers Twiggy Forrest and why he's not ready to jump back in

You’re very dog with a bone on this Brendan. I’m happy to take Coles’ positive commentary as he would probably have a slightly better idea on Joe for obvious reasons.

'Something we needed': Coles says ABs would not have made RWC final without Schmidt - and why Wallabies stand to benefit

It is about a coach yeah, the Wallabies coach.

Yeah well y’know, it is February so ……..

'Living in the darkness': The gap year that saw new Tah learn about 'tough work'- and why he's stoked to be home

Not sure what you mean?

'Choose a better date': Cummins wants Australia Day moved as CA chief sledged for 'bizarre' trainwreck interview

I reckon a day either side wouldn’t really be a good option. Would make it look a bit smart arsey.
I think the main thing would be the idea of recognition. Of listening. It wouldn’t cost us much to look at another date. Same recognition of a great country and still a holiday!

Costs little and achieves a lot

'Choose a better date': Cummins wants Australia Day moved as CA chief sledged for 'bizarre' trainwreck interview

Don’t do the read it twice thing. Thats lazy. It was a discussion about your artificial construct claim. I believe you’re wrong and explained why. Respond to that or don’t. No need for the snark

'Choose a better date': Cummins wants Australia Day moved as CA chief sledged for 'bizarre' trainwreck interview

Misread that. Sorry Barb.

'Choose a better date': Cummins wants Australia Day moved as CA chief sledged for 'bizarre' trainwreck interview

How is it an artificial construct? Is this another ‘truth’ or just an opinion about how indigenous people should feel. It’s the day proper British settlement is recognised as having started. The fact those in Arnhem Land weren’t directly affected on that particular day is totally irrelevant. It’s when it all started. Fast for some, less so for others. That changes nothing. The date has become a touchstone for when it all started.
.
It amazes me how many people seem comfortable telling indigenous how they should feel.

'Choose a better date': Cummins wants Australia Day moved as CA chief sledged for 'bizarre' trainwreck interview

“in truth it’s the celebration itself that is contested not the date”. And you know this as a truth how exactly? It’s your opinion not a truth.
.
It’s the date. Having an Aus day is OK. Making it the day the Jack was raised and the invasion started isn’t to many. Surely that isn’t a hard concept to appreciate. The date is not a great historical tradition. It’s easy to move and really isn’t any skin of anyones nose. Never understand the belligerence considering our history. March 3rd as HR suggests or align it with Naidoc week.

'Choose a better date': Cummins wants Australia Day moved as CA chief sledged for 'bizarre' trainwreck interview

Wha? I’m sure that made sense in your head Barb when you wrote it. Pretty sure
