Kampmann looked like he might wilt under Thiago’s power but then throws an Anderson Silva style front kick that puts Alves on jelly legs. Then Thiago comes back with his ground game to steal the round. Craziness.

The crowd isn’t happy about it but they seem to have forgotten the first two rounds after McCall dominated the third. They were reasonably close but Johnson definitely did enough to take the first two. Uncle Creepy wasn’t happy though as he walked past us at press row. Many a reporters water bottle and laptop were in danger.

The fighters head back to their stools on the off chance the fight heads to a fourth, sudden victory round. They’re up now and it looks like it won’t happen. Decision coming up shortly.

ROUND 3 – MIGHTY MOUSE VS. UNCLE CREEPY
McCall gees up the crowd to start the round off and the two fighters touch gloves. Good leg kick by McCall. And another. Some confusion and a crazy flurry by both men. They clinch against the cage and Johnson lands some kness to McCalls thighs. They’re back in the centre of the cage trading kicks and Johnson goes for a flying knee that ends up with McCall on top of him on the ground. McCall in half guard working some elbows that are close to the back of Johnson’s head. Johnson attempts to roll over to create space and does so. Excellent stuff. They scramble against the cage and McCall gets his back and slams Johnson to the mat. He now has his back on the ground and hammers away with punches and elbows. Johnson is gtrying to roll out of it but looks in all sorts of trouble. Johnson bumps a hook free and McCall fights to get it back. Johnson gets back to his feet finally. Brilliant stuff from the flyweights. They flurry against the cage again and somehow ends up on the ground with McCall on top in half guard. He moves to full mount expertly and starts peppering Johnson with punches. A few big ones get through. And McCAll gestures to the crowd as he wails on Johnson. The horn sounds and that was an excellent fight. The crowd love em some Uncle Creepy.
10-9 McCall in a fight that could go either way.

ROUND 2 – MIGHTY MOUSE VS. UNCLE CREEPY
They trade leg kicks which ends in an insane flurry against the cage that Johnson gets the better of. Uncle Creepy isn’t shying away though. More kicks from Johnson. McCall is having a hard time finding him. Johnson lands another good right and another. Big kick to the groin by McCall and the fight is halted.
Good shots by Johnson on the return. Mccall isn’t shy in the exchanges but hes definitely coming off second best. Big shots by McCall finally. Johnson has down good work on McCall’s legs though who seems to be feeling them. Good body kick b McCall. Takedown attempt by McCall is stuffed and then Johnson spins him on the cage. Good elbow by McCall is returned by Jonson. Body kick by Johnson. Good shots by McCall who initiates a cinch. A good knee by McCall but Johnson circles out. Big body kick by Johnson. Good right by McCall against the cage. The two fight for position against the cage to close out the round.
10-9 Johnson but he will still need to fight in the third as they were both fairly close rounds.

ROUND 1 – MIGHTY MOUSE VS. UNCLE CREEPY
First flyweight bout in UFC history right… NOW. They touch gloves and beging to circle. Inside leg kick by Johnson. More kicks from Johnson who really is ridiculously fast. Clinch by Uncle Creepy and he gets Johnson to his back. McCall in half guard, working towards Mount. He’s a bit high and Johnson gets him to side control. Excellent reversal by Might Mouse who spins out and gets on top. McCall is back to his feet and the two separate. Nice flurry by ohnson and the two exchange quickly. Uncle Creepy is showing us that he deserves to be in this tournament. Excellent leg sweep takedown by McCall but Johnson is back up. We’re only half the rond down and my fingers hurt from typing. Good shots landed by both fighters. Spinning back kick attempt by Mighty Mouse. Big right hand from Johnson rocks McCall. Uncle Creepy seems to recover and Jonson shoots for a single leg and they’re back up. Great fight so far. Excellent combination by Johnson who finishes with a head kick that is just blocked by McCall.
Close round, McCall won the first part of it but Johnson brought it back at the end.
10-9 Mighty Mouse

Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson VS. Ian “Uncle Creepy” McCall

Well I thought it was a good fight, the increasingly drunk crowd seemed to disagree though,

Big response for McGee from the crowd. Must be the beard.
UFC Sydney: Alves vs Kampmann, flyweights live blog
Main card up. Court McGee is one of the more overlooked Ultimate Fighter winners. He’s managed to go 3-0 without anyone really noticing. He is a scrapper and Phillippou definitely has the will and intent to make this pretty exciting.

That was crazy. It looked like Te Huna was starting a lawn mower at the end there. Rosa’s face is a mess.
UFC Sydney: Alves vs Kampmann, flyweights live blog
This should be a good test for Te Huna. Rosa doesn’t have anything special but he is resilient as all hell and it will be a testament to Te Huna’s skill if he can put him away.

That was by far the best Perosh we’ve seen. It’s amazing what confidence can do for you. That’s three in a row for him now. Nutty.

Penner’s win streak is gaudy but he also lost to Jimmy Ambriz which is… unheard of.

All three judges have it 29-28 for the winner by unanimous decision, “Super” Steve Siler.

ROUND 3 – Siler vs Miller – Crowd cheering now. A front kick attempt by Miller sees him just avoid some retailatory punches from Siler. Miller really needs a takedown but Siler is stuffing them all. Body kick by Miller is again countered by a Siler overhand right. Siler is definitely landing more often and cleaner. Just as I say that Miller lands a good right. The two are sharing a conversation about their gloves mid cage. Miller looks angry.. They are both swinging kind of wild now without anyone landing a thing. Miller goes for a takedown against the cage but is having the same amount of success the whole fight. Miller finally gets it down and he’s got mount to a degree. Thirty seconds though. Miller lands some huge punches. Miller has 15 seconds but I don’t know if it will be enough. Miller gets the round but I’m still very iffy about the second.
10-9 Miller
I have it 2 rounds to one for him but I am about as unconfident as you could be.

ROUND 2 – They trade jabs to start the round. Huge exchange against the cage. Miller gets the first two in and then Siler unloads. Miller finally circles out of the way but that was damaging. They trade position against the cage with Miller now finally getting a takedown but Siler is back up again. Some nice punches and a knee from Miler but Siler looks fine. They break and both of them kind of look at each other. Siler lands a big right shortly after that seems to hurt Miller. Some more follow and I’m not sure Miller is all there. Good right by Miller though and a huge right and left against the cage. The two exchange wildly and this fight is finally heating up. Great body shot by Siler. Three punch combo from Miller lands to the face of Siler. 90 seconds left in the round. Nice one two by Siler backs Miller up. They tie up with forty secounds left in the round. Miller lands a knee, Siler a punch. Good elbow by Miller against the cage and the round finishes. Much better round for Miller and he might just of snuck it.
10-9 Miller
19-19

Cole Miller and Steven Siler up next. Siler beat Miller’s brother on the Ultimate Fighter and judging by the weigh-ins I don’t think either of them have forgot it. Miller walks out to Icky Thump. You can now expect some biased commentary in favour of him.
ROUND 1 – Cole Miller pulling mean face. Its awesome. Miller starts up quickly with a jab and a leg kick. Siler waiting on him, now throwing some kicks. They tie up, Siler goes low for a single leg. Miller defends and turns him around. Miller with some knees against the cage and after a brief scuffle they break. A punch and a trip knocks Miller to the mat. Back to their feet though. Nice jab from Miller. No one landing cleanly, crowd getting restless. Good right from Miller. And another. Siler angry but not really able to do anything. Decent uppercut from Siler and then about four in succession. Best action of the fight so far. Cries of “You’re supposed to hit each other!” come from the crowd. Siler landing a bit more reguarly and then rocks Miller with a right hand. Millers leg give way for a second but hes back now. Siler has a guillotine attempt to end the round.
10-9 Siler

Glad the judges got it right. Not a good showing for Noke.
UFC Sydney: Alves vs Kampmann, flyweights live blog
Should be Craig’s fight unless Noke gets some home cooking.
UFC Sydney: Alves vs Kampmann, flyweights live blog
Noke is spent by the looks of things. Craig is part caveman and is taking over the fight. Still a round a piece though.
UFC Sydney: Alves vs Kampmann, flyweights live blog
Craig is a very calm customer. Looked like he might get overun pretty quick, but got back into it and made Noke rethink what he was doing. Still a clear Noke round though.

Kampmann and that damn guillotine of his. Alves looks bitterly disappointed which he should be considering I thought he had the first two rounds in the bag.
