As a proud English Australian, my allegiance in all sports, bar Football, lies with the Aussies.

Exactly, my thought is that Japan’s high-tempo game will eventually catch up with them. Especially because the South African forwards seem to be made of granite. They’re so big and solid. It’ll take a massive effort to reduce the threat that they pose.
Japan prove they're the real deal - again
Haha yeah, that’s because they’re second guessing themselves after World Rugby publicly disavowed the refs after the first round of matches

Whingemania will erupt if the Wallabies lose I am sure
Japan prove they're the real deal - again
Yeah that’s an interesting one. O’Keeffe relied on his touch judge for a lot of the scrum decisions in the Scot vs Japan game. So it’s a case of whether all three of the on field refereeing team are prepared to be ruthless and call pens as they see them. Or whether they’ll let a team play on if they manage to get the ball out, even if the props collapse/ stand up in the scrum, etc.

De Klerk, Pollard and Le Roux are going to do their absolute best. They need to make sure their kicks are accurate, strategic, and get their wingers to chase hard. It’s a good plan and will put tremendous pressure on Japan’s back three.

In terms of taking down the ball carrier with multiple players coming in from different angles, their tackling was quite rugby league like.

I suspect there will be no competition for biggest whingers at the World Cup if the Wallabies do indeed lose to the Poms

I think Robbo would be hilarious. Finally a Kiwi coach with some personality
Japan prove they're the real deal - again
I wasn’t particularly surprised that Japan won this game to be honest. After Scotland scored the first try, I wasn’t sure if they would push on or not. But Japan responded and blew them away

Let’s see what happens with Gatland. To be honest I think they’ll promote the assistant coach

Actually that’s a great spot. Ritchie is an absolute beast. He played very well, and his turnover work at the breakdown was brilliant to watch. Great player

Great win for Japan. The players perfectly executed their game plan, and to their credit, were fit enough to maintain the high-tempo for the full 80 minutes. I’m really hoping Japan now beat Scotland and prevent what happened to them at the last World Cup. Fantastic stuff
Brave Blossom boilover: Japan stun Ireland at RWC 2019
I understand the logic perfectly. They want player who can provide proper support to the bowlers and prevent them from getting injured. Believe me, I wish Marsh was as good as Ben Stokes is. But I know what I want from my number 6, and first and foremost I care about runs, not how well he can support our bowlers. Australia has Cummins, Hazlewood, Starc, Pattinson and don’t forget about Richardson. If the selectors are worried about injuries, rotate the bowlers. That worked well enough in the first four Tests of the Ashes. I really don’t buy this argument that Marsh is deserving of selection because of his support and the boost it gives to the rest of the bowlers. That’s not a good enough reason.
Frustrating Aussie selectors make me wanna take up Mitch Marsh-ial arts
They really should hand back their pay. They were rubbish
Tim Paine writes, then re-writes, his own story
Maybe they think he needs a break for his mental rejuvination. We saw how terribly Finch’s white ball form was after he failed in Tests. Perhaps the England selectors want to avoid that sort of scenario

If this works then Cheika is a genius. Lealiifano looked dodgy against Fiji. But I really liked Genia off the bench and honestly do think White starting would be best for both of them. Knowing that we have an energetic, high-tempo halfback in Genia who can come on when players are tired is an exciting thought. This is going to be a tough match
