As a proud English Australian, my allegiance in all sports, bar Football, lies with the Aussies.

Another humiliating loss for the men in gold, another hit to Cheika’s ever fading reputation. The spring tour has ended, thank goodness, and so…

Captain, leader, legend. That is how the old adage goes. In light of his career, Wayne Rooney springs to mind when I hear this…
Ah interesting. I actually haven’t seen that. The camera man was too busy filming Kepu running away with glee, only to be called back.

Thanks for the explanation, I actually do appreciate it. I do understand the law, I reckon a lot has to do with the context of the ruck and the positioning of all the other English defenders… I won’t bore you with the explanation.
Australia deserved to lose no doubt. Major improvements are necessary.

Yeah the three penalties thing was a really strange way to phrase whatever he was trying to say

Yeah hopefully the refs can improve before the World Cup
Let's talk about that decision
Yeah that is an interesting point. I think Hooper in the past has been accused of being too aggressive with the refs. Now it seems that he has become way too cautious. He has to find a good middle for the future.

I think we know that the same leniency wouldn’t have been given. Very unfortunate

Rodda could have been given a yellow but it would have been harsh as your said. I think the TMO was necessary because it was a try scoring opportunity so a different situation to his tackle on Daly. I’m not going to really argue but the NZ call was right, Lawes was about half a yard offside and Poite got that correct. The quality of reffing has been declining recently, so I hope World Rugby does something to remedy this issue.

Do you reckon Paine would perform better at 6?
My thoughts on Australia's Test selections to play India
Papier and Kolbe are properly quick players. They have massive room for development.
Who is the foxiest coach in world rugby?
I think it would be too much of a hit to his ego, but I’d love to see him at fullback
Sharks most likely destination for Shaun Johnson
I’d love to see Johnson at the broncos. I reckon him and Milford with Nikorima as a utility back would be very formidable

Great article mate. To be honest I think Valentine specifically was worried he might get badly injured this year which would prevent him from having a good crack at the NFL pathway next year. But you have made some good points.
When a contract is not worth the paper it is written on
Yeah true. Cheika definitely has a unique way of criticising referees. You know I never heard if Rassie Erasmus actually commented on Angus Gardner’s decision. If he didn’t then I have a lot of respect for him, because that decision actually could have won the Boks the game.
Let's talk about that decision
Yeah Fionn I agree. Look I don’t want to stray too far from my article’s point. I think Cheika has an innate right to criticise the referee. But that doesn’t mean I’m absolving him from blame. He very much to blame for the current strife Australian rugby finds itself in.
