Newcastle Jets v Sydney FC should’ve kicked off at 5:00pm AEDT and WSW v Macarthur should’ve kicked off at 7:30pm. Would’ve been better for players and fans and bigger crowds. The United v Perth game tonight should’ve been at 5:00pm as well.

The A-League is still enjoyable - if we just ignore the administration

I can give you some tips if you want NoMates 😁

The Roar's A-League men tips and predictions: Round 10

Under estimated the attendance of the Newcastle v Sydney match, got bang on with the Wanderers v Macarthur crowd though!

The Roar's A-League Men tips and predictions: Round 9

Sad state of affairs unfortunately. Usually we’d see a big travelling support from Sydney to Gosford and a sold out Melbourne Derby. Both have been killed off now because of the APL. Usuallly would’ve gone 7,500, 6,000, 8,000, 21,000, 3,000 and 3,500.

The Roar's A-League Men tips and predictions: Round 8

NEW 2 – 0 BRI (crowd: 4,000)
WEL 1 – 2 ADL (crowd: 4,500)
CCM 2 – 0 SYD (crowd: 5,000)
MCY 2 – 2 MVC (crowd: 14,000)

MAC 1 – 1 PER (crowd: 2,500)

Funny because I’m not a Bulls fan, not sure why I have a Macarthur profile pic to be honest! 😂

The APL needs to do more than just hope to build on World Cup momentum

The A-League will die while we have people who have no idea what the fans actually want running the show. This Grand Final in Sydney news makes me angry and frustrated, just as football in Australia was looking bright. I’m planning to boycott the league for the rest of the season unless the decision is reversed.

Yeah look I went a more realistic guess but looking at ticket sales will go close to 20k+. Guess I’m just as pessimistic as NoMates hey 😂

The Roar's A-League Men tips and predictions: Round 7

BRI 0 – 2 ADL (crowd: 6,500)
WEL 1 – 2 WSW (crowd: 5,000)
SYD 1 – 1 MCY (crowd: 17,000)
PER 1 – 1 WUN (crowd: 4,000)
CCM 3 – 1 NEW (crowd: 10,000)
MAC v MVC (crowd: 5,500)

The Roar's A-League Men tips and predictions: Round 7

No but Macarthur are..
In all seriousness they’ve improved their ticket prices drastically and definitely have more community involvement, let’s hope there’s a solid crowd down there.

Now that the Socceroos have proven the A-League's quality, it’s time for football fans to show up

Anyone wanna give their tips on the attendances this week? Hopefully more fans through the gates because of the Socceroos success at the WC.
BRI v ADL – 7,000 (Dolphin Stadium)
WEL v WSW – 5,500 (Wollongong)
SYD v MCY – 18,000 (Allianz)
PER v WUN – 4,000 (Macedonia Park)
CCM v NEW – 10,000 (CC Stadium)
MAC v MVC – 6,000 (Campbelltown)

Canberra is an absolute must for the next expansion side, why they have a women’s team and not a men’s team I will never understand. The other place I’d expand to is the Gold Coast, a properly run club, not a Clive Palmer one. Would help the Roar massively as well.

'I haven't even thought about it': Arnold future unclear as FA start World Cup review - as coach calls for A-League expansion

The Sydney Derby drew 75,000 on 10Bold and 70,000 for the pregame, add that with Paramount+, it would’ve been well over 100,000.

A-League Round 6 showed Ten and Paramount the potential bang for their buck

Yeah mate, the Adelaide crowd surprised me a touch, being at the game I haven’t seen it that packed in years. Was awesome.

match is sold out now.

The Roar's A-League Men tips and predictions: Round 6

Yeah not too sure why they couldn’t switch it around.

Hopefully CCM pull a good crowd, I don’t know how many tix have been sold but the $16 tix thing surely was a good pull, weather is looking a bit average however but we’ll see.

As for the Sydney Derby, I guarentee it will be 30k+, tix sales already around 35k.

No, we all love cricket, but I think a lot of people don’t really care about the actual Australian cricket team anymore, a lot of people I know who love Sheffield Shield, Big Bash, Marsh Cup, etc, have lost that connection to the national team that they used to have.

Plus playing the T20 world cup in October/November when most people aren’t in the cricket mood until December is another reason too haha

Is Australia falling out of love with cricket?

MVC 2 – 1 NEW – crowd: 14,000
MCY 2 – 0 PER – crowd: 7,000
WSW 2 – 2 CCM – crowd: 12,000
WEL 0 – 0 MAC – crowd: 7,000
BRI 0 – 1 SYD – crowd: 5,500
WUN 1 – 3 ADL – crowd: 3,000

The Roar's A-League Men tips and predictions: Round 5

The Melbourne Cup used to get around 2,000,000 viewers about 6 years ago, this year it barely get 1,000,000. A drop of ONE MILLION PEOPLE. More proof that nobody watches TV anymore.

How concerning is the A-League's ratings slump?

Also you mention crowd-wise the game is in *dire* need of improving. I completely diagree, we’ve just got past a once in 200 year pandemic.
The average attendance so far is just under 9,000, with that likely to grow with the Sydney derby coming up and bigger teams performing. It’s still not great but it’s a big improvement on last season, we can’t just blink and expect everything to be better, it will take time but I think the APL is on the right track.
We’ve seen heaps of good crowds so far this year, 21k for the Big Blue, 18,000 MVC v WSW, 16,000 for SYD v ADL, even 7k at MAC v SYD was a good sign. This and next week there will be some good crowds too.
