Having picked a squad of specialists or not having invested in cultivating multi dimensional cricketers, the selectors have made life difficult for themselves. Now, they have to drop Pant to bring in Axar as the sixth option..A lot has to go right for this team to win the cup
This Indian squad cannot win the T20 World Cup
Shami is not a T20 bowler..Siraj leaks too many runs..both are brilliant in tests and OD Is..if you let KL walk in, then all your preparations over the past few months is a waste..2 out of the top six will come in cold..that is dangerous
As India gear up for the World Cup, who makes the final squad?
Time to look beyond this aging and off form middle order
India need to get tough with selection to continue amazing Johannesburg record
He has terrific averages in India and Aus..Tailender like averages elsewhere
India need to get tough with selection to continue amazing Johannesburg record
Others have learnt to bring him forward and get him to knick off, while Aussies wasted too much time pinning him on his body from a back of length..They got him when they pitched it up and got him to play forward..He doesnot get right forward closer to the ball and is vulnerable if the ball moves
India's quest for its last frontier begins on Boxing Day
Ngidi has been under a injury cloud for some months now..Marco Jansen is a good option as well with his height and left handedness
India's quest for its last frontier begins on Boxing Day
Yeah, the batting is certainly weaker than 2018..Pant is the X factor for this series..South African bowling isn’t as good as 2018..so a bit of upper hand for India’s batters to find form
India's quest for its last frontier begins on Boxing Day
If you don’t trust me, below is telegraph article about the fielding..two easy run out chances..no balls..list goes on as i watched every ball

This English side is reminiscent of the '90s Indian teams
1987 WC win led to that great Ashes win..Aussies will pummel the English this summer..
The World Cup result is a disaster for the Ashes
Ofcourse..read the disclaimer right upfront
Why astute cricket analysts cannot call the Kiwis the best in the business
Agreed..BCCI still says everything is Cricket..only when they accept that it is not, change will happen
India needs a new management structure for its white ball cricket
Going by the ease with which India found new heroes in that series, you needed a few million scorpions..even i was getting padded up and looking for flight tickets to come to Aus.. 😁 😁 😁 😁
ANALYSIS: What we should demand from Rahul Dravid as India's head coach
Australia are peaking quite nicely..Their thumping performances have come against the minnows so far..SF against Pak will test Aus
Zampa stunning, Marsh brutal as statement win delivers huge momentum shift for Aussies
Yes, for ODI you will need that extra anchor while in T20 you will switch it around..
ANALYSIS: What we should demand from Rahul Dravid as India's head coach
T20 and tests are like different sport frankly..India is trying to play T20 with test class players..T20 needs power hitters to lead the batting…bowling needs variations aplenty contrary to bowling a channel in tests..
'Kohli doesn't know how to win tournaments': Why India need a rethink
Actually if the selectors had been true to IPL, they would have left out most of the out of form players like Hardik etc..they went with past glory
'Kohli doesn't know how to win tournaments': Why India need a rethink
The title is not what i had given…i had it as just India needs a rethink.:)..BCCI would not have allowed the Indian players to sit out IPL..England have a different nucleas of players for tests..Jason Roy, Eoin Morgan, Jos Butler (didn’t play after Lords), Liam Livingstone, the whole bowling unit don’t play tests..they were not in bubbles..while Rohit, Rahul, Pant and Kohli are captains of their teams in IPL teams and play all forms..not to miss Bumrah, Shami, SKY, Jadeja who all were in the test squad, IPL and T20 teams..India needs to have a T20 specialist team to ensure mental fatigue issues
'Kohli doesn't know how to win tournaments': Why India need a rethink
Eoin made his strategy of all or nothing clear..With the quality of personnel at his disposal, he gets All most times

Total money bag is the total budget amount for a franchise to spend on their team. This is to ensure that richer owners/franchises don’t buy all the best players..
Indian Premier League retention rules and strategies for 2022
Retention system is used to prevent your best from going into the auction. Even for retention you have a total dollar amount that you can split among those four you want to retain. The players can accept or reject the retention offer. Those who are picked in the auction are offered three year contracts post which there will be a fresh auction. During the contract period, they can be traded to other teams during the trading window.
Indian Premier League retention rules and strategies for 2022
Hi Paul,
As the total moneybag is capped, teams do try to make an opponent overpay for a player, if they sense desparation..Transfer window has been created to move players mid season. However, teams have not used it well.
Indian Premier League retention rules and strategies for 2022
No, he wont be..Andy’s performance will be measured against what a prototype batsman batting at his batting order of that day would have scored against the opposition bowlers, in that pitch and over head conditions..Andy’s team mates don’t count here..i hope i was able to explain it..Andy’s team mates will influence the team’s performance vis-a-vis the team par score for the match
Cricket may need to adopt the par score system to measure the skill level of its Test batters
The breadth of resources available and the importance of red ball domestic cricket.. India is lucky to be able to play cricket all through the year.. So IPL and domestic league finds plenty of time to live next to each other
