You do understand that the Broncos would lose a point and the Tigers would have gained one in the event of a draw. Then looking at his predictions would then have them equal on 29 competition points with a current points diff of -8 to -16 broncos way which is nothing. So if that game was a draw it would have put 8th spot on a knife edge. It didn’t cost the Tigers their season but in hindsight could be the difference.

It’s the business end: Here are the contenders and the pretenders

Feldts try and the missed conversion was the great moment. Hunt dropping the kickoff besides being funny ruined the tension you knew Thurston was going to nail it and you were just waiting. Best part of all that is it brought back extra time!

The five best grand final moments in NRL history

I’ll go a step further on Penrith. They played the top 5 sides once

The complicated relationship between the ladder and finals footy

The point is WHY did he stop play then

If you're going to introduce fair play, go the whole hog

Considering that the replacement player wasn’t waiting for him at the sideline why does he need to rush off the field. They wouldn’t have started play until the sub was there anyway.

If you're going to introduce fair play, go the whole hog

I would say the knock on hasnt occurred until the ball touches Milford

If you're going to introduce fair play, go the whole hog

Sorry Greg, but it doesn’t help your case about the Cowboys being “twice as disciplined” when 6 of your 11 penalties conceded are in within 10m. And a very simple way for Maloney to not get binned….. dont try to tackle someone without the ball, who also never had the ball on the play. I can remember Gallen scoring one very very similar to the Taumalolo one this year too, maybe the 4 of them on him should have been able to stop him from getting to the in goal.

Mate, are your eyes painted on?

As a Penrith fan I agree TB. Very happy to make the finals after that start… and all i can take from the 11 of 15 run is that the panthers from up to round nine probably would have gone 11 of 15 losses. And that Dylan Edwards and Tyrone May look very good.

Tim, I dont know why you try argue with people like this.
The social media hysteria is all some people want to see.
from when the ball leaves Billys hands Sia has about 1 step before he hits him, if he dummies and goes Sia has to stop him. As you have said, it was late high and deserved a send off.
Have they announced the time of his public execution?

Why was Sia Soliola not sent off? Ask Tony Archer

Can you ever be absolutely certain? The wording on nrl.com
“‘The Referee (or Review Officials) may award a penalty try if, in his opinion, a try would have been scored but for the unfair play of the defending team. A penalty try is awarded between the goal posts irrespective of where the offence occurred.’”
I have no idea where absolute certainty has come from but it seems a lot of people players and commentators don’t know this

What history?

No matter what happens at the selectors table, Queensland will lose Game 2

I would be shocked if there was complacency in the QLD camp after all of the pregame press being so pro NSW. I was terrified of a QLD ambush in game 1 to be honest.

No matter what happens at the selectors table, Queensland will lose Game 2

Why does he need to be positive? Also i think you missed the “ha” tag 😉

Cowboys don't need Thurston to win and neither do Queensland

As a Blue, that is the side i didnt want to see!

Queensland Maroons team for State of Origin Game 1, 2017: Expert reaction

I think Ricky also had the point that the raiders and dragons both had the 4 day turnaround last year with big involvement and they still got picked even after applying to the nswrl like hasler did. He is upset at the inconsistency and if they can’t/won’t stop des they can’t not do the same to me. It’s a disappointment because i like city country but it is an exhibition game that most people don’t care about now. If it was a selection trial cartwright and austin would both have blues jerseys by now!

Sorry Des, sorry Ricky, it’s not your job to rule players out of rep fixtures

But when Australia try to play “winning cricket” when you can’t win and they fail they “have no backbone” you can’t have it both ways

The Sheffield Shield needs to be revamped to benefit the national side

What does everyone think is a target that you couldn’t pick a winner? I can’t get a read on it.

Why the lack of FTA coverage for this fantastic Test series?

To be honest though, the panthers should have more in defence and attack than the teams the roosters have played so far as well and in both games the roosters havent turned up for 80 minutes

Preston’s previews: NRL Round 3, 2017

I am enjoying that the bowling shootout is being won by our batsmen. The lack of ego in our batting at the moment is going a long way.

Australia's patient batting is sapping India

I went Smith, SJ then JT. Quality hookers and halves drop off very quickly
