Don’t dispute any of what he has achieved, I guess our definition of big game players is slightly different 👍

Maroons' Origin predicted team: Slater forced to make changes after injuries sideline some certain selections

How much pressure was on him in 2018 ?

Maroons' Origin predicted team: Slater forced to make changes after injuries sideline some certain selections

Cam, so you really believe Munster is a big game player? I believe his origin record doesn’t actually justify that tag and the big games at the Storm post Cam Smith point to the fact that when the actual money is on the line his record is not that great.
A tremendously gifted player who on his day is as good as anyone and when he wants to be is as good as I’ve seen except for Lewis.
I just don’t feel that he consistently stands up in the big moments and I don’t think there is anyone that does that at the moment

Alfs tackling technique would be the most obvious one that comes to mind

NRL Round 7 Talking Points: With big wins come big losses, and which coach is the game’s biggest sook?

So you would have picked Jake in 2013 from the VB cup prior to making his NRL debut and have him play all 3 games.
Then force him to play in 2014 with a broken leg and dislocated ankle.
Pretty typical lack of care from QLD…..although you do love players playing with broken legs 😁

'Attitude and loyalty surpass strength and speed': The Blues need to 'out-Queensland' the Maroons to have Origin success

There are 3 players that I want to get their hands on the ball when we’re in the extremely unlikely position that we are behind on the scoreboard.
Tommy T at the back, Murray at 13 and Cleary, Api at 9 works for me.

In the last ten years BA has made one GF and Bennett has made two……

Brad and Bennett: Why Friday's clash with the Dolphins might be a tipping point for Arthur and the Eels

I hope that Latrell gets his fitness and motivation sorted.
I hope that Latrell returns to his very best in terms of football.
I hope for those things in a purely selfish way because I want him to entertain me while he is on the field.

If Latrell doesn’t want to do any of those things that is fine as well.
At the end of the day it’s up to his employer to value his worth.

I just hope that he makes the decisions he wants.
It’s like all of the people who see an obese person and go “just eat less”, the problem is often a bit deeper than the simple fix 👍

The Kyrgios case of Latrell and Lomax: Star duo need to put what's best for the team ahead of individual interests

Hunts like me, I can go and have a few beers with the boys from work every Friday night
If however my best mates turn up and we only get to catch up a few times a year I’m a totally different animal.
I’m Blue to the core…. but I reckon Ben Hunt is a greatly under appreciated player simply because of who he plays for at club land 👍

Injury-hit Maroons won’t panic over Origin selections but just sit back and laugh at Blues’ hullabaloo

I think a lot of people have rose or ponga coloured glasses when it comes to Ponga at 14.
When he debuted in that role he came on and went berserk, totally threw the attack that QLD had, he is an exceptional talent and a brilliant fullback……. but the diehard blue in me hopes they pick him at 14 because Hunt scares me everytime he is on the field.
The best utility to have played the game, just pipping Wing 👍

Similar win ratio to Langer and Munster, Locky and Joey are fraction above with Wally being the standout.
Once again that 06 to 17 period has seriously stuffed up what a lot of people think is normal.
Cleary will be remembered as one of the better half’s to have played the game, he is probably already there.
JT is considered as an elite 7 and rightly so.
He was able to achieve a premiership and had an incredible run in origin.
You have to attribute part of his success to the cattle he had. Two premierships with one as the 7 and multiple SOO series wins.
Cleary I think is the same in reverse, when he’s got the side in Origin…..

Wild idea but Blues should actually pick Origin team on form this time around - and that means Tedesco’s time is up

I’d have Murray at 13 and Yeo off the bench.
I think if you have Tom in the centres and he is not the one who gets injured in the backs you can cover centre with Yeo and push Tom wherever you need him.
Haumole probably deserves a shot and JakeT has never let anyone down, plus everyones Nana loves him.
So I’d go old school with the bench
Jake
Jnr
Haumole
Yeo
Doesn’t really matter to much 3 Zip NSW….. money for jam

Pretty sure Latrell has had more than 5 minutes of brilliance.
Just chuck him on the scrap heaps because he’s not playing well and his attitudes off.
Why mention ethnicity at all if it’s got nothing to do with it

'I don't know what goes through Latrell's mind': Mitchell on report twice as Wahs dominate sorry Souths

No I watched that one as well, just never watched the 2015 game

Storm warning: We’re sleeping on Melbourne again – they might be the biggest threat to the Panthers

It feeds the darkness in my heart, I’m about to watch the 2015 game on YouTube right now. I’ll actually be cheering on the Broncs tonight 👍

Storm warning: We’re sleeping on Melbourne again – they might be the biggest threat to the Panthers

Remember the Melbourne Storm? Nasty bunch, no mates, everyone wanted them to lose, ruining rugby league.

Oh wait, that’s not them.”

That sentiment still rings true, although I don’t believe they are ruining the game

I actually had a tweak in my back that kept me on the couch for a couple of days, so I went back and watched every Melbourne loss as far back as Kayo would let me.

Extremely satisfying 👍

Gus exists outside the normal and like the majority of the RL media creates story’s to create content they can argue against.
Virtually everyone person I know understands the rules of the game and unfortunately for Gould if he admitted as much he would no longer be in the spotlight 👍

Fair comment not coming from unfair commentators whining about rules they should know off by heart

Don’t have an opinion on wether he pulled out as much as he could, all I’m saying is that whatever he was attempting he executed it poorly

'If the NRL are serious about concussions, where does this sit?' Kevvie fires up after May escapes ban for Walsh's fracture

What was May going to do when he got to Walsh if Walsh didn’t tip on.
Grab his tag of his shorts ?May had every intention of creasing Walsh in the process of shutting down the play and there’s zero wrong with that intent, the execution was poor.

'If the NRL are serious about concussions, where does this sit?' Kevvie fires up after May escapes ban for Walsh's fracture

Everytime someone is coming into make a tackle they are trying to impose the most force they can, wether that person is NAS or Brooks the intent is the same.
May got his timing and positioning wrong and that needs to be addressed.

Well done Panthers, I thought the Eels showed some real ticker.
Unfortunately they just ran out of gas, anyhow let’s just bag Harper 👎

Izack Attack: Tago celebrates new contract with stunning showing but Panthers sweat on Fisher-Harris

Aside from the time he came back from COVID and lost 7 kilos and got a bath from Talaki.
He has been pretty good he sat at about 93 percent for his efficiency last year.
Any one would struggle to defend if they got shifted to an unfamiliar role in the middle of a game.

Izack Attack: Tago celebrates new contract with stunning showing but Panthers sweat on Fisher-Harris

If a player is running at you with the ball and steps at the last second you still have the obligation to not hit him in the head with your shoulder.
Think of all the times you have had someone bump into you unexpectantly, how many of them did you drop your shoulder into and how many did you grab and help?
I know it’s footy but….

Tipster's nightmare: Ricky's written-off Raiders upset rusty Knights to show they won't be wooden spoon fodder

Like rats fleeing a sinking ship, Smith can see the writing on the wall and is the first of many to abandon this train wreck. 😁
Good luck to Matt he’ll do a great job, stepped up for Smith before and went OK 👍

Shake-up for Slater's Origin coaching staff with Smith saying sayonara to Maroons role

I have had to reposition my salary cap point.
My reference point for the salary cap used to be JT and DCE.
If KP is on 1.4, then AFB is probably at the top end but on about 750K if compared to JT and DCE.
I’m not sure that makes sense 👍
