I think its pretty obvious, the Storm are a very skilled side and will always there or there abouts.
What made them absolutely top notch was Smith.

Pressure Points: Cameron Munster will know that 2023 wasn't his best - but he remains key to Storm's 2024

Sure Melbourne have lost players.
Panthers over the last two years.
Api
Kikau
Burton
Capewell
Naden

So who starts the sets for you in your system, are you waiting for a middle to get back and take the first hit up.
The role of the winger has evolved so much over the last 8 to 10 years its ridiculous.
They are actually closer to a NFL running back than anything else.
It’s a bit of a disservice especially to weapons like To’o to say that they don’t effect the outcome of the game 👍

Roosters offer 'something I couldn't knock back': Marquee Mark reveals why he's joining the Bondi bunch

That was not my point, your reply has absolutely zero to do with my post.
You are trying to argue against a point that I never made.

'Embarrassing post': Tigers star in strife over social media comment on LGBTQ+ inclusion

Of course you can’t speak your mind without consequence on some topics, especially if you are a high profile employee.
Should people be able to say whatever they want without any risk of consequence.
The concept of free speech is such a misunderstood thing

The guy has nothing to prove, he has done it all.
Hopefully he gets back to full fitness.
Where he sits in the big picture of fullbacks will be debated for a long time.
Personally I’ve got him just above Mini and Bowen and a touch under Slater, Locky and Mullins.
On his day as good as any and his career will stack up against the very best 👍

Pressure Points: Why 2024 might be the most crucial year of James Tedesco's career

For levels above its Smith by a mile.
Smith and who
Locky, Burt and Fittler
Slater, Mini, Mullins and GI
Thurston, Alf, Cronk and Sterlo
I dislike the Immortals concept so much because you need to degenerate someone’s performance to promote the player you like.

Six of the best: The standout options for the ultimate honour in the NRL Immortal debate

Slater is in the exact position that Fittler was in at the end of 2019 👍

'Ultimate professional': Maguire quits Kiwis, leaving way clear for Origin job

If your employer asked you to walk a tightrope and then let you do so without mitigating the risks then they would be before the courts if something went wrong.
These players are employees ( or contractors) and are aware of the risks, it still doesn’t stop the employer from having to provide a safe workplace.

What happened to the NRL's sin bin, HIAs, mandatory stand-downs and independent doctors?

They get paid their value within the cap and on occasion for their future potential.
I just don’t see how restricting someone’s potential to earn money over a short period of their life when they have the ability to earn well is even a thought that people are having.

Demetriou calls for cap on salaries for young players to prevent poaching like Roosters luring Suaalii from Souths

Mate that’s like saying that a company’s wage budget is a restraint of trade.
Businesses only have so much money to spend on wages and they need to manage who and how many people get paid.
People leave jobs because their current employer can’t or is unwilling to offer more money all the time.

Of course players don’t have a right to an NRL career, they do however have right to be paid as an adult if they are an adult.
👍
On another note, being extremely good at something and be rewarded for it financially is not a privelage, it is a reward for all the hard work done.
The privelage is us being able to watch them play in their prime

And what happens if a supremely talented player at 19 had the potential to get 600k but was restricted to 200k and gets a career ending injury….
I know people are allowed to have opinions, but I’m glad he’s not my boss 👍

Jacks a great centre and Ricky tried, it’s a teachable skill is all I’m saying.
👍

Smart Signings: Ricky's Raiders were right to let Wighton go - but they might not see the benefit for a while

I’m not talking about generational talent, I’m talking about Ricky not being able to stop Jack putting it into the grandstand instead of the dead in goal.
Walters and Mam, Bennett and Katoa.
As I said I’m not talking elite, I’m talking about improving or developing.

Smart Signings: Ricky's Raiders were right to let Wighton go - but they might not see the benefit for a while

I think Stick does an OK job as a coach, his development of players is another story in my opinion.
How can someone have one of the most accurate kicking games in the history of the game and as a coach not be able to pass that onto Jacky.
Fair enough if your good at your job you may not necessarily be able to teach someone how to do the same as you.
Ricky’s job is to teach people how to do things and his inability to develop or markedly improve his halves is a bit telling for me 👍

I don’t need to know Mitchell personally to understand and form an opinion about his personality and nature
But that opinion about his personality and nature may be ill-conceived because you don’t actually now him personally.
Judging him as a player, fine….
Judging him personally…..

👍

Who is the greatest Penrith Panther of all time?

I would say JFH. What he does for that side is immense.
Personally I don’t think they have those three without him 👍

Apologies 👍

The Wallabies are the Wests Tigers - Neither fan base will be happy with that comparison or their team's prospects

I think based in Oz there was 10 super rugby games played for the season.
That was based on Stadium Australia’s figures.

The lions tour will be enormous.
In 2023 I think there was 10 opportunities to watch a super rugby game for an average crowd of 11k
RL had over 200 opportunities for an average of 20k.
There is no domestic marketable product to be sold.
No wonder international Union is popular.
