Not sure. It hasn’t been confirmed either way, but I suspect they might…

October. Damn it. Thanks Paul.

Hey mate,

If Gal is out, I’d say what they will do is move Prior to lock and start Woods up front with Ava coming onto the bench.

And yeah, he will travel. Of course he is a huge part of that, but they play Friday, so there is no chance they won’t take him as cover.

Yeah, you’d think Edrick Lee will drop out with Leutele playing wing.

One change for the Roosters. Mitchell Aubusson is into the centres for Latrell Mitchell, Victor Radley joins the back row and Nat Butcher is onto the bench.

Big ins for the Storm as well with Will Chambers and Nelson Asofa-Solomona likely to play. Compare that to the disrupted preparation of the Sharks, and they will go in as heavy favourites it would seem.

Of those suspensions, Greg Inglis escaping seems to be the biggest of the lot. It will pain Roosters fans, but in the end, the difference between him and Latrell Mitchell was carry over points (or a lack thereof).

The teams themselves are due to drop in about half an hour or so. As mentioned in the preview, suspensions are the big talking points this week.

Oh how classy.

Seven talking points from South Sydney Rabbitohs vs St George Illawarra Dragons NRL semi-final

20-minute walk to the SFS from Central? What, you got 8 foot legs and taking two steps per hill? Ha!

But on a more serious note, crowds do matter for the look of the game. I don’t disagree the on-field product is great, but turning into the Sharks-Panthers game was a really bad look with only 19k. I dont know how the Dragons-Bunnies looked on TV because I was there, but the 48k made a difference.

I’d prefer to see first week finals back at suburban home grounds. Atmosphere is great to have. In saying that, if the Roosters and Rabbitohs fans are serious, they will get 70k this week… Of course, that is if the NRL adhered to their own policy of not locking people out and moved the game to Homebush.

The smaller NRL crowds confirm the AFL is the superior code? Rubbish!

Given Fawad can’t even make the Vics squad, doubt he is going to be there.

I still reckon Zampa is the option IF he can be consistent and accurate, but it’s a bloody big if. We don’t have great stocks of limited overs spinners in this country at the moment.

The four players who'll be using the JLT Cup as a World Cup audition

Well, Lynny isn’t off to a good start. I think of more concern than his duck though was the way he fielded. He didn’t want to attack the ball, dive at anything or put the shoulder in potential harms way. Fair enough as well, but the World Cup is probably a stretch too far.

I’d love to see NCN and Short have big campaigns though. Bailey is probably past his best.

One player to watch will be Max Bryant. He was really good yesterday. Can see him being in the T20 side pretty shortly. Will Sutherland won’t be far behind him either and under consideration for all formats.

What frustrates me most about that is that the Dragons were just starting to get some momentum. We had picked up 60 metres in three tackles after being under the pump for ages and then McInnes does something stupid like that.

He virtually had to throw the ball flat/forward to hit Murray. The rule is there, it’s not something new. Not good enough.
