Well I would love to watch the rugby live but once again Nine has decided to stick their fingers up to rugby fans by only playing a replay of the test after they have aired their league match.

the ARU need to wake up to themselves.

Too much kicking again. Beale is a waste of space, all he does is chip kick when he should be taking the ball into the tackle.

Cooper actually played pretty well for a change making some good tackles including a fantastic rake at the end of the match to seal the win.

CHANNEL NINE SUCKS.

Beale played rubbish tonight.

What? Mate you obviously have no idea. GB and Ireland are separate countries; current political issues have nothing to do with it. Just because they get together to play rugby is completely irrelevant to any other sporting endeavours.

Your suggestion is like asking Canada to join the USA, NZ to join Australia, or even Belgium linking up with France. Absurd

Aussie pundit shockingly claims Irish Olympic team is a joke

Yeah right, and South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Zambia should also be playing under the flag. It’s all the same place anyway right?

what a fool

Aussie pundit shockingly claims Irish Olympic team is a joke

Offereins let the team down? Sure, he was the slowest runner out there, but he was only a little over half a second off the pace of your beloved Stef, who as anchor should have run the quickest to bring the team home. Instead he ran the second slowest.

Oh, and then he had the tenacity to make out he was carrying other members of the team. The guy is not a team player. I’m glad he won’t be around for the next Olympics.

Should Steffensen even be in the 4x400m relay team?

I love how you yet again make blindingly baseless assumptions and generalisations. You have no idea about my own colour, heritage or even if I am Australian. But you seem fit to get on your high horse and lecture me????

Firstly, I’m sorry you have experienced racism in Australia; that doesn’t mean you should go and make generalisations about all Australians, including police, as racists and rednecks. It only demeans your argument.

Secondly, I am far from uninformed. As someone who has lived abroad for nearly half my life including your beloved South Africa, I have experienced racism and discrimination first hand. I just don’t make generalisations about a whole nation or occupation based on the few incidents I have experienced.

I only hope one day you open your eyes and realise that most of the people in this country are not racist, or fit any of the stereotypes you have decided we all fit into. My wife of Native Indian decent would likely agree.

John Steffensen has a point

Yes KPM, it is better than continuous stoppages, but as they won’t be doing that in the internationals I would prefer to see some consistency from the refs.

S15 should be reffed the same as internationals.

Reds in, Brumbies out as Quade faces a forced holiday

Would you care to give specific examples of denial, political, and commercial racism, as well as racial segregation Glen?

Or are you just happy to make baseless accusations?

Would you care to explain why in your ‘so far ahead’ South Africa that the majority of white South Africans are still living in prosperity whilst the majority of black South Africans are still living in poverty stricken townships?

So far ahead indeed. I would say SA is getting better but in no way are they ‘so far ahead’.

I don’t think Cooper should get further punished. It was a sloppy tackle but Barnes’ body height was quite low which probably contributed to his being caught high rather than across the chest.

On another note. What was with the scrum reffing last night? Every scrum engaged prior to the word engage being uttered yet it was never pulled up. No wonder teams then go on to struggle in international tests.

Reds in, Brumbies out as Quade faces a forced holiday

From what I’ve seen in the media, his outburst was about himself and not about fairness for his other team mates as this article points out; perhaps the media has misrepresented his views?

And no mention of him pulling the race card in this article? I guess the PR team are trying to salvage something.

Well I’m all for the Argies playing in the expanded Rugby comp this year. More power to the SH.

Sporting officialdom gone mad

‘take note suncorp’

The difference being that centre court was full of educated, well mannered individuals. Suncorp is overwhelmingly filled with bogans.

Jonah is known throughout the non-rugby world. SBW is not, and never will be.

Sonny Bill Williams is on a magical journey to sports immortality

I think Barnes was making his claim for the 10 spot. He knows he has to step up whilst QC is still out of the picture, and IMO he has done this.

I really hope Deans continues to stick with Barnes over QC.

Pocock the difference against Wales

what a shocker. I can’t see how QLDers can play victim anymore when decisions like that go their way.

State of Origin 2012 Game 1: NSW vs QLD live scores, blog

White or Holmes?

Deans would do well to have White on his coaching roster.

Holmes a Wallaby bolter against Scotland?

They can’t ban players for gouging and stomping. There’d be no Bok forwards left to play rugby if they did that.

Stamp eye-gouging and stomping right out of the game

Super Rugby needs to get some quality free to air coverage for rugby to really take off.

Rugby Union growth continues

I think it’s safe to say, Marsh was brought back into the side way too early.

Great captaincy by Clarke helps the fast bowlers to fizz

Perhaps not at home, but what about the thumping the Wallabies took a few years back in South Africa?

And please tell me, are you basing your belief of a poor France team soley on tests when they play SH teams or do you actually watch 6 nations tests? Correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m pretty sure the French came second in the last 6 nations and I think they even won it the year before. Hardly a team that disgraces world rugby.

I think with all their internal issues thay have been dealing with, the French have done extremely well to get where they are. I even think the French players may have been intentially tanking a few of their tests in the group stages, to pile pressure on their under-performing management team.

The Gall of these (cultured) Gauls

Funny how stats can be read by different people to give different results.

I would say the Indian pair were far more successful than the Aussie pairing. They partnered for 6 less starts than the Aussie pairing, but have a far better run rate and are only 154 runs behind.

As for Katich. I like the guy, and was disappointed when he was dropped. If he didn’t get injured in the ashes, I also wonder what the outcome of the series would have been.

The guy shouldn’t have been, and probably wasn’t, dropped based on runs and on-field performance. My guess is that his backroom bust ups and attitude were disruptive to the team morale, and CA thought the best move was to get rid of him.

And why not? Deans did the same thing with the Wallabies and they moved on for the better.

Katich sacking a disgrace

Memo IRB: show a little respect, to the French that is

What just happened??

I’m not sure if that is a dig at Lievremont, AB’s or Joubert?

Either way, I will spit out my croissant in disgust.
