Great analysis mate. I really enjoyed this article. Neesham, did well for the Blackcaps averaging 36 with the bat and 19 with the ball. I would consider it a pretty good tournament for an all-rounder but Shakib was on another level. One thing I noticed was that 6 or maybe even 7 of the top 10 run-scorers are vital Test match batsmen for their countries. Williamson, Warner, Shakib, Root, Stokes, Bairstow and maybe Azam(he does average mid 30s but I reckon he will come right with experience) are vital Test match batsmen for their respective teams. I was surprised with most of your predictions because I had similar predictions. The spinners were a bit disappointing besides maybe, Mujeeb Ur-Rahman, Tahir and possibly Jadeja(even though he played two games). I guess the good thing about this World Cup were the pitches. They were tough to bat on but I loved watching players like Williamson, Root and Warner work and craft an innings rather than just bash the ball all over the park. It was great to see fast bowling at it’s best in this World Cup. The next World Cup should be interesting and I think if Afghanistan qualifies for the next World Cup, they will definitely cause a few problems.
The unsatisfied expectations from the 2019 World Cup
There will always be a doubt about the final result.
How the ICC should have settled the World Cup final
I would have Burns over Harris as well.
Bancroft or Labuschagne could take Khawaja's Ashes spot
I can’t wait for the match though. It should be good.

Good delivery no doubt, but a better forward defence may have helped the batsman in this situation.
Ellyse Perry destroys England opener's stumps with an absolute seed
Have fair pitches and things should be good. Something for the bowlers and batsman.
A proposal to save Test cricket
Hahaha. What? Gee that’s funny. Yeah, I can’t wait for the series later this year. It should be a good one. Wagner might get under the Poms skins a bit.
World Cup final a game for the ages
Great article man. It certainly one, if not, the greatest night of sport ever.
The curious case of the Sunday night angst
I reckon they will keep him for a couple for the next World Cup. The ODIs, well I don’t know Jeff. He hasn’t really performed consistently in the last couple of months. If he wants to play the next World Cup I reckon he is going to have to be in really sublime form as there are a few young guns coming through the ranks that might get a look in. Guptill is our greatest ODI opener along with Glenn Turner but it will be hard to see him play the next World Cup if he doesn’t have any sort of solid form behind him.
NZ can beat Australia this summer
Guptill will not be considered for the Tests, Jeff. He has had plenty of chances to cement a spot in the team but he hasn’t quite fired in the longest format of the game.

Targa, Ravindra will definitely come into the equation in the near future. Especially considering that the next World Cup will be held exclusively in India. Another guy to watch out for is South African born batsman, Devon Conway. He has been brilliant in the First Class scene for a few seasons and is close to being illegible to be play for the Blackcaps. The pace stocks are good with Duffy, Scotty K and a few others trying pushing for a spot in the Blackcaps.
NZ can beat Australia this summer
Will Young is out for quite some time. I think it’s 6-7 months now. He underwent a shoulder surgery and has to recover. It is unfortunate as he was bound to get selected for the Blackcaps.

Best final I have seen in any sport. That match was worthy of a final.

Tim Paine says upcoming Australia v Australia A game isn't an Ashes play-off
Tough one. Really tough. The Blackcaps were really unlucky. Match being decided by a technicality is unfortunate for Kane Williamson’s men. They should be proud of the effort they put in. They have plenty of supporters all over the cricketing fraternity.

Oh dear. The Wallabies need to fix the areas of concern very soon, otherwise this could possibly be a very long couple of months for them.
