Ten Australians to watch out for in IPL 2018

Maxwell is someone who can take the game away in a space of a few overs and he is in a good form as well but for me, he went a tad overpriced. The reason is that-
Maxwell was 7th costliest buy of the auction. Those above him were- Stokes, Unadkat, Pandey, Rahul, Lynn and Starc. Along with these, Maxwell was acquired for the same money as Rashid Khan.
Now, while Maxwell for his talent and flare may theoretically be one of the most effective players in this format (and of course for his bowling, batting and fielding credentials), he has not been anything beyond a slogger/ pinch hitter except 2014 season. Hence, while those who have got money equal to or more than him have been extremely effective in their discipline so far (Batting or Bowling), Maxwell has not made a sizeable contribution in either batting or bowling. Now under Ricky Ponting, GM may well have the season where he justifies every cent which was paid for him.
(P.S. According to me, Unadkat. Rahul and Pandey were overpriced as well)

Thank you Matt.
Yes, I share your opinion that IPL started a bit late to feature THAT golden generation of Australian cricket and it is a matter of great shame.
Yes, Watson may give Warner a run for money to be the greatest Australian in IPL. However, not only his batting performances but also captaining his side to the IPL trophy is what takes David Warner a notch above Watson or any other Australian in my opinion when it comes to this tournament.

I understand what you mean, and I am originally from India, hence supporting the Indian team from around 1997. But if I am asked, the combination of Stokes-Bairstow- Ali has been playing as a better oiled machine than Saha- Ashwin-Jadeja for number 6-7-8 .. The English trio has won more matches with both- the bat and ball and Indian trio is yet to perform outside the subcontinent..!
