I would give anything to see Peter Siddle's hatrick in the flesh again, I would give anything to see the Lions first premiership in the flesh and the moment the Reds destroyed all competition to claim the title in 2011 blew me away. Nothing compares to sport. Not even kittens or puppies.

No one gave Brisbane a chance.

A week in footy is a long time! haha

The Roar's AFL expert tips and predictions Round 3: Is this the week things take a turn for the better?

Do I want 5 days for a test match for women? Absolutely. Do I want 5 sets in Grand Slams? Absolutely. I am wanting to make these changes in women’s sport not to equal men in terms of money or endurance but purely I just think it would be beneficial to the viewers that love these sports to have a longer contest, regardless of it being male/female.

Cornes' backlash concerns spark women’s sport debate while criticising Lanning’s tactics, AFLW standards

It was an amazing gamble.

'Australia straight up cheated': Drink in the sweet taste of American swim fans' salty tears

Do you know what the ramifications are if Australia wins/loses and if USA wins the rest of their group games?

I dare say it means if we win all, we will meet them in a semi final. I hope we avoid that at all costs, maybe throwing the game might be the best option, tongue in cheek of course. 😂

Analysis: Landale and Thybulle impress as Boomers defeat Italy

Faulkner has a better first class batting and bowling record so I think your comment on shortening the batting line up is ridiculous. About the 5 bowlers, as if Marsh isn’t there to be that 5th bowling option?

Argument invalid.

Why do you think they chose Mitch ahead of James Faulkner?

That’s depressing! No offence to the Australian Ryan Sidebottom but that would have been a pretty awesome draw card for me to watch all Victorian games not just Bulls stuff. I think a little international talent can only be a good thing, especially when their training with our youngsters.

oh…. is it not the MCG anymore?

hang on…. it is.

Time to move the grand final away from the MCG

“But how can those who do give the ball a rip – like Fawad Ahmed, James Muirhead, Adam Zampa and Cameron Boyce – actually thrive at Test level when they are liable to get smashed?
It all comes back to Shane Warne. You will never find another leg spinner like him. Never. Not in a million years, but we will always keep looking.”

You didn’t really answer your own question here so I’ll just ask you, how can a young leg spinner thrive at Test level when they’re liable to get smashed? What key attributes do you think they need in order to succeed and what should be their plan from the outset in order to dismiss a batsman?

Just interested in your thoughts.

Are we witnessing the death of leg-spin bowling?

The Bulldogs did make the no try ruling. Luke “The General” Patten was up there. He’s about as clueless as a rock on a ledge. I’ve watched his explanation on ABC’s “Grandstand” before and wonder how the bloody hell he got the gig. He can barely explain himself sometimes.

Gould's commentary was the real travesty

What would the ladder look like if every win by “golden point” was scrapped and the one point offered for the draw was the final result?

The Cowboys and Storm drop to 8th and 9th respectively

The Sea Eagles stay top and the Sharks stay dead bottom…..

Scrap golden point? It's worth a try

I literally just had a revelation of a thought…. Imagine if you get bowled/LBW/caught off one of his deliveries, you can refer the decision, they have a camera aimed directly down the pitch, doesn’t matter what end, you can then measure from hand to elbow and elbow to shoulder and if there is 1 degree in it then it’ll be okay, umpires call, but if there’s a really visible difference exceeding that 15 degrees, it can be deemed a no ball. That will put a holster on his wicket taking balls and get him to bowl within the rules.

As for the exact measurements, I believe to measure from the centre of the wrist to midway between the epicondyles of the elbow (quite visible) to mid shoulder would suffice. As I said before, if there is some grey area, it’ll be umpires call, if it’s quite a discernible difference, book him chief.

Ajmal's anomaly needs to be rectified

His eyes on the footy will go for him granted it was a tad late but he genuinely thought he could get there and I don’t believe there was any malicious intent. The big question mark is over his judicial record, which I believe will rub him out for at least a match.

Lions' Merrett on report for a late hit on the Demon's Pedersen

hahaha brilliant Doctor comment. So true, its as if he thinks he’s being a killer but in actual fact he just leaks runs until bam, geez fellas, how did that one get away from us? As all good teams and the support staff behind them do, they find weaknesses. Sri Lanka and India have put together a very good gameplan against India, they’ve kept exploiting Cook, Bell, Stokes etc. It’s wonderful to watch a team you hate being picked apart at the carcass! This next period in time for England will be interesting to watch, they definitely have the talent in Root, Ali, Ballance, Stokes and Robson. Do they have the patience though?

India’s victory at Lord’s sends a message to Australia

More like England sends a message to Australia saying we are easy beats on a tailor made green monster. They also sent a sneaky sms to Mitchell Johnson to let him know that bowling anything short will bring you and easy 5 for.

India’s victory at Lord’s sends a message to Australia

I didn’t watch it on TV but being at the ground at fine leg at the Gabba it was quite visible. It changed my whole pink ball argument. People are reluctant to change, sure it can stay on its course and see if it does well or change it? After all, cricketers are employees of CA, safety isn’t really an issue as per the trial matches, they just merely complained about its softness? HELLO…. THE MATCH IS AT NIGHT AND DEW SETTLES, THIS HAPPENS EVERY T20/ODD/ODI FOR CRYING OUT LOUD.

Day/night Test cricket? I don't like it

I would love to see what the series would have turned out like if Gillett held the ball more. It’s called ball security and with it you retain possession and win games.

Queensland's player ratings for the 2014 Origin series

Absolutely brilliant timing!

What's happened to all the goals?

Case shut. If Scott even wanted a chat, on the field literally seconds before Browny’s speech was not the time. Boomer feels he has a right to be respected but at the end of the day he’s just another player on the field giving lip so you’re going to get as good as you give.
